  1. Thank you. I HATE the "millionaires play a game" blah blah. It's so played out. So is the overpaid argument. You get paid what you generate (except in college sports).
  2. This would be such a dream draft. Only pick I consider switching is Moncrief in the third instead.
  3. The drought will cross into two decades. Unless somebody miraculous walks up under center in the next few years.
  4. We don't have a DT named Johnson.
  5. In a perfect world we extend Dareus this offseason because he's had more than one good year. Then wait on Hughes' next season before giving him an extension. If he has a big year, give him the contract he deserves.
  6. The list of free agents the Bills have to lock up this offseason is short: Jairus Byrd, Scott Chandler, Dan Carpenter. They should let Chandler walk so that only leaves two big time players unless you also count Alan Branch. But the list of free agents in 2015 is pretty big... UFAs include: Marcell Dareus, Fred Jackson, Aaron Williams, Jerry Hughes, Da'Norris Searcy (could be big if Byrd walks)/ Who on that list do you franchise if none are extended beforehand? I'd say Dareus is the clear answer unless a big injury/regression happens next season. Hughes would be next if he has another big year. So we could be giving out the first big contract to Dareus, Williams and Hughes next offseason (if Williams continues to improve at safety). Jackson should be signing his last contract. Would give him pretty much the same money he has now. Give him 3 years, $10 mill if he still looks good next year. That's not a back breaker and it locks him up until he's done.
  7. Evans looks slow to me. I'm just not a fan of his. Not yet. Convince me?
  8. Oh my goodness that's a severe reach. EDIT: after looking through the draft, I can see their rankings are way off.
  9. Patience isn't something this organization should expect of its fans. Not at this point. Not when potential relocation looms and failure is all we've known for so long. They can't afford to be patient and have it fail. If they decide to be patient with Manuel, then he HAS to turn into a pro bowl QB or it'll be time to clean house again. Rinse, wash, repeat. That cycle needs to end. Manuel isn't going to do that.
  10. The NFL is the exact same game that it was in 1986. Just kidding.
  11. Highly doubtful. Only chance at starting anywhere he has is if a team drafted a QB and doesn't want to start them right away.
  12. Yea. Let's go back to an older QB who has no future potential. He's hardly better than Fitz.
  13. We don't really know how hard it is to get rid of "these guys" now-a-days. Since the new rookie wage scale was put in we haven't seen anybody as bad as EJ right away. Nor have we seen a guy who was MOSTLY regarded as a mid-round pick selected so early. There aren't many eyes on Buffalo or EJ, so moving on could be much easier than we think. Plus, it's a QB league. Somewhere somebody is going to eventually draft a QB in the first round two years in a row. It's bound to happen eventually. With all that said, he'll be the starter next year. Buffalo doesn't have the brains or balls.
  14. Stevie is our tallest WR at 6'2. The tallest wide receiver for the following QBs: Tom Brady: 6'3. One inch taller. No, you can't factor in Gronk because he's been out all year. Payton Manning: 6'3. One inch taller. Cam Newton: 6'2. Same height. Aaron Rodgers: 6'3. One inch taller. Drew Brees: 6'4. Two inches taller. Phillip Rivers: 6'3. One inch taller. This narrative needs to die. One or two inches isn't going to make the difference between EJ being bad and good. He's also got a 6'7 TE to work with. It's not the height. You could argue it's the skill of the WRs, but drafting a tall WR early or giving him big money because his height isn't a good idea. It's not THAT big of a difference. Chris Brown ‏@ChrisBrownBills28m Marrone to scale things back for EJ http://wp.me/plmrg-9l2 Everybody was saying that they wanted to see EJ be better at the end of the year compared to the beginning. That doesn't look like it's going to be the case. Regression for a young QB is an absolute worst-case scenario and signs of what might be to come. Everybody w
  15. The argument that you can't build through free agency is absolutely true. BUT you do supplement a good drafting regime with free agents in some spots. LG and maybe a depth DE would be good moves. Maybe a forth WR.
  16. The bolded are clear no's as of right now.
  17. Only guys on that list that I'm interested in and are remotely realistic: Byrd, Wesley Woodyard, Jon Asamoah, Arthur Jones, Brent Grimes, Vontae Davis, Matt Slauson. I think signing a guard in free agency is the biggest move the team can make.
  18. For the record, I don't give a **** about moral victories. This thread was just noting the history. History is history. It could be happening. Doesn't mean the team is good, but you have to note it.
  19. Annddddddd nobody cares about history.
  20. I just did a little research... In Buffalo Bills history, they've only had at least two players have double-digit sacks in a single season. That happened in 1995 when three players had double-digit sacks. Jerry Hughes needs just two more sacks to give the Bills two of them this season. So there's that to pull for. Technically, Dareus could join them as he has six, but he's much farther off. Kyle Williams has seven, so he could join them as well.
  21. 1. Mack or Barr (LBers). Don't care which one, just give me one. Would prefer Barr. 2. Eric Ebron, TE, UNC. (no chance he slides, but maybe a package of this pick and next year's 3rd to move up a few slots?) 3. Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss. (currently projected in the late 3rd, I think he rises). 4. Chris Burnett, OG, Georgia. Don't like the idea of a guard early. Would prefer to sign a vet to a short-term deal and pick a guy in the mid-rounds. 5. Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia. He's going to slip. Maybe even later than the 5th. Either way, I want him. He's a first round talent (IMO). Steal. 6. Isaiah Crowell, RB, Alabama State. Former first overall prospect and UGA commit. Troubled but worth little risk here. 7. Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State. Stop ignoring the position.
  22. In what way is this team better after this? I love the Murray pick if he's actually there in round 4. That's the only pick that I'm sold on. Evans could be a solid pick. Don't really think drafting a guard in the second round is needed. Just sign a solid free agent and be done with the position. Can't wait around for some rookie to develop.
  23. They're all irrelevant now. So sad.
