  1. Anyone care to take a guess at how the defensive philosophy might be different with no Tua? Double down of the McFraiser style we’ve come to love and loathe? More zone, less pressures? More pressures, tighter press? More mixed coverages?
  2. Again, I don’t think the bills will do it, I just wouldn’t rule it out. To say that teams won’t do that is not accurate. Teams use the tag regularly for all different reasons. The 2023 tag numbers are high because contracts are reflecting likely higher cap figures in years to come. Just last year, Orlando Brown signed his franchise tag (16M) and he may not be re-signed in Kansas City. On the other hand, it could be used to extend negotiations. Two seasons ago, Chris Godwin was tagged and played out the year. He was tagged again this past off-season, this time extending him a long term contract surplanting the second tag. Two big name players, two likely different outcomes, 1 similar strategy: using the tag as a tool (albeit an expensive one) to keep a player around before investing even heavier dollars into that player. Whether teams choose to eventually extended or not, regardless the cause being financial or performance based, is a real possibility used by many teams in this league.
  3. Hefty but I wouldn’t rule it out. You could argue that guaranteeing a guy 21M for a year might be okay, to get you by while you find a cheaper replacement, instead of leaving yourself with limited options or having to guarantee a player 45M like Roquan got. I don’t foresee a tag either, but I wouldn’t count it out. It’s entirely plausible they’d want to spend a bit more for a single year than invest twice that or more. The bottom line is this: We can’t pay everyone. Beane and company will be afforded less and less wiggle room with their draft picks. The luxury days of picking rotational players and special teams contributors in the first three rounds is over.
  4. Zero chance. Davis has played the most snaps of any WR including Diggs up to this point. It won’t happen.
  5. Jamaal Williams only scores TDs
  6. Just waiting for the reveal so I can go to sleep!
  7. This game is almost guaranteed to be one of the prime time match-ups. Hoping it’ll be Saturday night for selfish reasons, as well as shortening the week for those who were dinged today in the Miami game.
  8. Never had any issue with him returning kicks. It was the offensive impact I was referring to. Read.
  9. That whole 3 play series was erratic. Taking shots to the EZ was not necessary with two time outs. Should have taken quick hitters
  10. Swing the ball horizontally. Make those fat boys run
  11. If the RAVENS don’t want him, why would we? Have you seen their WR room?
  12. Seeing Bill Belicheat in a “Love for Damar” ***** feels wrong.
  13. Same: I think it’s because of the following: -emotional week -we play home no matter what next week -we are the better team
  14. The NFL should be thrilled the titans didn’t find a way to win that. Having that pathetic excuse for an offense would not be the kind of profduct the league would want in show time
  15. Idky teams try to do that in situations where they seem to be having regular success.
  16. I’m reLly getting annoyed at all the “chiefs trying to lock up the 1 seed” talk. They were gifted the opportunity. Don’t act like they earned it 100% outright
  17. Let’s go get that 2 seed buffalo! KC lucks out again. SMH
  18. This is getting ridiculous
  19. McDermott, according to some people on this board just a few weeks ago
