New York Giants @ Eagles Sat. 8:15 PM-FOX

Huh? -
The DT practice squad elevation was predictable and makes a ton of sense. I expect Ankou to be active. Kingsly Jonathon will be inactive IMO. Not sure why they called him up, unless the plan to completely turn the DEs loose and give them more free reign to rush at-will and disregard rush lanes/run fits. Maybe they plan to do so and want fresh legs. just trying to make sense of this. Surprised by Brown, as I feel McKenzie/Beasley/shakir is a bit redundant and Smoke offers something else that none of those guys does…. Maybe that is calculated, and Dorsey doesn’t want to tempt Allen with that speed and unnecessarily pull his eyes and attention down field when he should be working the quick game. who knows.

Am I the only one here who think Lawrence isn’t nearly as good as people think he is?
-
I really don’t care who wins. Hoping for a good game today and a Bills win tomorrow. Whoever we plan next week in the Championship game has another thing coming!
-
I really don’t care how good he is, tbh. Any RB, even a generational talent, wouldn’t be the right move IMO

Updated: categorization of Josh Allen fumbles
EmotionallyUnstable replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good data work here. Another reason the Bills should look heavily at adding to the OL early in the draft. Allen is not blameless for the sack fumbles, but we could throw him a bone once and a while. @Beck Water any ideas of this breakdown would stack up against other top performing QBs? Im sure finding fumbles and fumbles lost is relatively easy, but mining the film to find the way in which they fumbled probably isn’t. It just makes me curious how to see if Allen is loosing fumbles while sacked at a higher rate than other QBs. -
I’m fully expecting McFraiser to double down on only rushing 4. They had some success with bringing pressures (5) from LBs against Miami. One difference you may see is the simulated pressure, sending Milano or a Edmunds and dropping a DE/DT into coverage. They’ve used this all year and I think it’d be a good game to bring it back. I also expect a ton of movement up front. If they shut down the Bengals running game early, it may open up more possibilities with stunts and alignments up front. I won’t knock the DL pass rush too hard as some people want to do, but I am also not blind. If we can find a way to get an edge fit guys that have seemingly underperformed when asked to line up and win 1v1, I’m all for it. This would include things such as lining Groot up as a DT and rushing 3 DEs, tackle/end stunts/twists or overloads to one side of the OL. Rushing 4 doesn’t have to be as vanilla as we always make it seem, and by stifling the run game early, I think the shot callers might be more open to getting creative to how they try and confuse, best, or overwhelm a beat up Cincy OL.

Will your respect for Tom Brady change when he retires?

Think about it like this: If our OL we’re facing similar injury challenges, the lineup would be… Hart - Saffold - Morse - Botteger - Quess Idc who their back ups are, the people saying that it doesn’t matter much are just wrong. It makes a tremendous difference. Not only in the run game, but also calling protections, line calls, or how pairs of guys pick up stunts, pressures, work with TEs or RBs in pass pro. Just ignoring the potential implications because there aren’t any (healthy) super star pass rushers on the DL is a lazy critique looking to complain. I can guarantee the board would be all over how much of a liability it’d be to be down 3 starting OL…and that’s considering the talent level of the players we’d be losing vs there’s isn’t as substantial for us. You might not see the outcome in a measurable means, but it will undoubtedly be a factor in many facets of the game IMO

In fact, don’t even try to block. Just stay out of the way. ST these days are a joke. Not the bills, I mean across the league -

Lmfao more gifts. It’s Christmas! -
Why did you even bring this up? Boo you stink

Huge plus coming through the game healthy. Watching the Bengals lose their LT (no idea about the severity, but it didn’t look good) makes me extra thankful.

Considering an extra day’s rest for Jax, and the injury to the Bengals LT tonight, I think we are better off playing Cinci… It just feels right

A Bengals win feels almost serendipitous. Having them come to OP for the divisional round, would be yet another epic chapter in this season’s saga. I think I prefer this route instead of sending the Ravens to KC. At least the Jags have SOME hope of defeating the Chiefs with a possibility of a home Buffalo championship game. -
