This Rodgers extension really looks like it might bite them. They back loaded the deal to a 40+ YO QB who now has a ruptured Achilles. -
O'Cyrus Torrence.....Bills best O-lineman??

He’s just too tall and can’t get the leverage he needs to swallow up a bull rush. -
Week 2 Bills vs Raiders Home Opener!
EmotionallyUnstable replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
We’re talking bout practice. It’s illogical on whose part though? I actually really like the STALLION 12, as it does more for you that simply sub in a a TE for a WR. I do thoroughly agree that the slow developing inside zone game is brutal to watch, especially with the style of OL and speedy back we have. I want more gap/power game with decisive rushes. I think having Kincaid on the field is a good thing, even if he isn’t catching the ball every play. it’s the same argument to those who wonder why Gilliam gets burn. He doesn’t catch the ball!!! Yes, but watch and see what his contributions actually are not only to the profitability that is measurable in yardage but to what the personnel and formations can do to the defense -
All-22 1st Half Analysis

I was with you during the broadcast. Cursing up Dorsey left and right, wondering why he put Allen in these situations. Rewatchjbg the game made it so obvious that Dorsey made a clear effort not only to make the short passing game an option, but also prioritize it. Some of the designed swing passes and outs were, in my opinion, a way to force Allen into that calm and cool mindset, building confidence, etc. I agree the some of Dorsey’s play designs are curious, but as you mention you never really know what’s going on behind the curtain. Example 1: Bills WRs running routes within 5 yards of each other. Much like on the Davis strike on the opening drive, Diggs is loafing his clear out route. At first glance, it’s wtf concept is that? Upon further review, it’s executional error. Example 2: 3rd and short with 4 WRs running intermediate routes. Again, at first view here, we might wonder wtf…but we do not know how particular coverages are effecting a route tree. It’s entirely possible there are times that option routes are dictated by coverage. Saleh was obviously aware of this, so sitting on the short game in these situations may have cause a pre-snap or mid-play adjustment. This example is entirely speculative, although we know this is common place in football at many levels. As others have mentioned, Dorsey ultimately has to find a way to calm Allen, continue to provide ample opportunity for taking what’s there, while allowing him to gun sling in a responsible manner. My offensive wish list for next week: - No negative 1st down plays - More gap/power run game over zone/RPO - Dorsey/Allen working half the field in two man concepts. -
Elam a healthy scratch tonight.

So are we expecting this to be a theme? Seems like Benford is entrenched as CB2 for the time being…but Elam not even active for situational usage? yikes. -
Buy - Kincaid, Bernard, Benford, Floyd Sell - Brown Hold - Davis, Allen

Can James Cook break a tackle, ever?!?!
EmotionallyUnstable replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
3rd quarter 1:17 3rd and 6 check down to cook. When he caught that ball, I though he had the sticks easy. I didn’t see an ounce a burst when he turned up field. Williams made a nasty play, but I want more from a guy that is suppose to be electric -

All-22 1st Half Analysis
EmotionallyUnstable replied to MasterStrategist's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen was 9/10 with 55 yards before he threw his first INT...took the check downs all first quarter. After that, the Jets just out-willed him with patience and he got agressive and spiraled. First drive looked good actually, minus a 1st down penalty. 2nd drive was fine and stunted with a botched play in what looked like a miscommunication in an RPO....crazy how fast Allen just goes from methodical to maniac. Throughout the first quarter, the OL actually held up quite well against the pass rush. The JFM sack was Allen holding the ball too long on a ton of pump fakes, and the other 3rd down scramble was messy but he could have stood in and sorted through the junk if he wanted to. idk what happened in the 2nd half. My wife made me turn off the tv 🤷 -

There’s your problem -
I’m not sure what anyone saw that would make you think they’re going to be okay: The Bills entire offense = Allen to Diggs, Allen run. This hasn’t changed. Bills defense continues to be good, but will they make the plays when I matters most? Special teams has been a wreck. They have a LOT to fix, and I question if they have the brain trust to do it (Ps this is my indictment more so of the coaches/front office than actual talent) PSS yes I’m being dramatic

Bernard, Torrence and Benford all officially starters
EmotionallyUnstable replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is pretty common around the league and in football. The center has a tougher job presnap, often helping the QB direct traffic and setting protections. Giving the snap count responsibility to the guard allows for them to focus more on the actual snap being on target, as well. -
Well I’m calling it. At least I toughed it out longer than the Giants. Night y’all
