  1. There is a reason the head coach makes all these decisions .No one knows better what they need, when they need it. Coordinators handle monitoring these decisions. I would be surprised if they aren't on a direct line discussing these scenarios. I see your point. But as a head coach, are you really going to put these game-changing decisions in another coaches hands? I doubt it.
  2. I remember speaking with Jim McNally about Peters some years ago. He had such high hopes about Peters and said he would be a top tackle in the league (came true). However, it really is a shame watching all these talented guys making idiotic mistakes. It drives me crazy.
  3. I cannot see one benefit. I suppose you could argue that it gets Geno ready but the destruction is causes during the game and within the locker room is crippling.
  4. If Sanchez is named the week one starter, Geno Smith may still make it into the game in certain sub packages. Is NY serious? To me, this is Tebow 2.0. They will under-mind their starter's confidence and fluency by doing this with Geno. I am clearly opposed to this but is anyone in favor? Would anyone like to see the Bills incorporate Kolb as the starter with EJ rotating in for certain packages? Food for thought on a rainy Thursday... 5. Nice. Glad he's beefing up with some cuban chicken panini's and chicken noodle
  6. Thanks everybody. It's been a while since I was able to find some decent film. Tired of highlights, highlights, highlights....
  7. Well that escalated quickly... Either really.
  8. Hey all, I've been looking for a good website to look up film of the past season. I'm looking to get into more straight film study and avoid the highlight reels as much as possible. Does anyone know of, or use, any good sites or have any recommendations? Thanks.
  9. This statement makes perfect sense. Wouldn't you be happy if your defensive coordinator were crafting up blitzes and packages so that you were to be successful.
  10. I'm having trouble interpreting this. Do you mean to say that without a full back our offense will lack the potential to have a power running game? I wouldn't be so quick to assume that a spread scheme necessarily lacks power. Virtually any play run out of the tradition I formation can be done out of a single backfield by dictating defensive alignment with formation and motion, I envision our running attack being aggressive and powerful
  11. Timmy and Tom talking Angels and Uggs
  12. Refrigerator Dareus?
  13. This. With so many young weapons, why restrict the number we can put on the field by using a FB. This offense seems geared more towards creating space with alignment and scheme, as opposed to a more tradition I formation set.
  14. Let's be honest, Pettine's new look will be founded by outstanding play be Ryan Denney.
  15. I seem to agree here. However, the OP never said he's going to be a pro-bowler (we can only hope )!
  16. Seems Gragg would be fitting based on his OTA success and the new offensive scheme, IMO
  17. It will be interesting to see this battle unfold. Woods is an almost lock for the 'Z' receiver. He's been consistently talked about as the most NFL ready rookie wide receiver this season. The 'X' receiver position is up in the air. In order to understand the competition, we have to understand the position. This player is going to be on a lot of backside throws (Posts, digs, verticals, etc.) They also need to be a solid blocker. OTA highlights showed Graham playing well. Goodwin was highlighted for being an outstanding blocker. Da'Rick Rogers is someone you haven't mentioned, and also my favorite to win this battle. http://queencitysports.net/the-x-factor-which-buffalo-bill-will-play-x-receiver-in-2013/ This link breaks down each receiver and their measurable, skills, production in terms of necessity for an 'X'
  18. The new staff has come out publicly and said they want Stevie in the slot. His physical skill set is almost hand crafted for this position. He doesn't have the speed or size of a true outside receiver. Purely speculation, but I believe they like him in the slot for his shifty moves but also his ability to get off the ball. Nickel corners and defenders won't play him on the line and this will lighten the load in the box. As much as it makes sense for him as a receiver, it also plays in nicely with the run game, IMO.
  19. Buftex, love the dedication man. Where are you getting this stuff?!
  20. Gotta agree about the WR corps. Lots of young talent and potential. I think the entire secondary will be something to watch. Movement in the off-season, regime change, rookie additions and a contract hold out could make for a good battle at safety and corner. With the exception of Gilmore, I can't see anyone's position being safe.
  21. Which goes hand in hand with yards per attempt. One of the most overlooked stats
