  1. I think it's unfair for you to make the assumption that I agree with those moves or beliefs. I'm speaking from my beliefs, my experiences. I'm not the Buffalo Bills. I was simply stating that I agree with the idea that players should be shown respect and compassion when it comes to families and personal lives. The Bills have many, many disfunctinal aspects in their organization that I disagree with but I believe them to be correct in allowing a player to miss time for this reason. Is it not reasonable to identify specific situations as respectful or compassionate? Why must it be labeled as a black or white situation?
  2. Why look at this so cut and dry? There is a situation aspect to this. I'm looking at it from an organizational and cultural perspective. Clay does his job on a weekly basis. Regardless of how you might feel about his production, he is doing his job. He has earned the respect of the team to be able to do what he is doing. This isn't preseason and he isn't an undrafted FA trying to make a roster. It's just my personal belief that successful organizations, in sports and other business enterprises, treat their employees with respect and compassion. It breeds an environment that people want to be a part of. Maybe you feel differently and that's fine.
  3. Lack of production is much, much different than missing a single game to attend a one and a lifetime family experience. It is a cold business but being let go because of production is nothing surprising.
  4. They don't have to be a family. But it is important to show respect and compassion for its members.
  5. Where are you getting the fact that they disapprove of him missing the game? I haven't seen that anywhere.
  6. Many successful organizations believe in and display compassion for their employees, not only professionally, but personally. It happens in every aspect of employment. Creating an environment where players' personal lives are not respected nor appreciated with create a disfunctionsl culture and project a negative atmosphere. I hope and am glad the Pegulas and the Buffalo Bills respect and approve of a players'"family first" mentality.
  7. Usually no news is good news, but I'm assuming Clay with not be there?
  8. I wonder how likely it is that Nick O'Leary permanently takes over the starting role as the Bills TE because of an amazing performance. 5 catches 110 yards and a score. Calling it now!
  9. As unfortunate as this timing may be, I'm glad he chose to remain home. That being said, it still sucks for the team
  10. Someone is injured and it's not on our team?! Must be Friday!
  11. Raiders 31 Bills 24 I don't see our offense keeping pace with theirs. It will be much, much closer than many media outlets believe but the Raiders have shown time and time again that they can finish
  12. Ragland has been out all year, we haven't really missed Wood all that much and AW is sorely missed. Shaq, Marcel, Shady, Gillislee and Sammy argue differently. Bob Woods will join this group down shortly. I'd argue this list is much, much more imperative to the team than the other
  13. Your windshield wipers are on, bro.
  14. One thing I will say about the injury bug is that it hit us early and it appears (fingers crossed. Knock on wood. Blah blah blah) that we're getting back key members to this team at the right time
  15. You're probably right. But IMO, he has earned more chances with the first team O. I'd love to see what he's got with more snaps and more targets
  16. That was an excellent catch. Could Harvin have gotten than ball? Idt Sammy would have caught that either. Let's give this kid some chances
  17. You have some good points. I don't know that there is one answer. My biggest criticism for him thus far this season was that he doesn't throw his receivers open. So to me, saying he has only a few options isn't an excuse for holding onto the ball
  18. By many accounts, TT doesn't read the whole field anyways, has a tendency to prematurely run with the ball and still takes the unnecessary big hits he shouldnt. I see what you mean but it's not like we're rolling out Peyton Manning
  19. I'm not arguing that he is the next Eric Moulds. I believe he has deserved more of an opportunity to run with the 1s. I'm sure there is a reason he hasn't been but I'd like to see more of him
  20. Partially. But not solely. Plenty of out breaking routes can be used to get players open and in space.
