Football remains a team sport. Look no further than the Packers. They have a top QB of the last decade and can’t seem to get it together. Despite not actually making anything of it, they contend every year due almost entirely to Rogers. This shows the value of the position. It fluctuates between HOFer carrying the team or a game manager relying on the supporting cast. As much as I’d opt for the former, McBean and co. strikes me with the team-oriented approach. Now, given then can get a guy they believe to have the qualities needed to win, they will do so at the right price. I just cannot see them sacrificing their team oriented draft capital for one player, regardless of position

As much as I’d hate the idea of it, I could see McBean rolling into camp with the WR depth chart as is, with the addition of one or two mid/late round guys. I’m struggling to see them willing to invest a high pick into that position after spending essentially two high picks to acquire Benjamin and Zay.

You cabbot draft the first round based on need. I agree, LB is terrible, but they should take the best player available

I think you hope for LVE at 22. Vea has been viewed at a top five talent in the whole draft, and would give us a tremendous replacement for Kyle. IIRC they are both really stout run defenders, but I don’t see this as such a bad thing.

Vita Vea. No reason to stretch for a QB and take the 5th best QB in the draft when we could get the best DT available. Plus Rudolph could likely be available at 22
