  1. https://amp.knowyourmeme.com/memes/exciting-whites “Exciting Whites refers to an exploitable meme and reaction image depicting a picture of the supermarket sign reading, "Exciting Whites," which references a white wine section in a grocery store or supermarket. ” “The wine sign displaying "Exciting Whites" became a prominent exploitable on social media over the following years, often used to compliment a white athlete or to poke fun at stereotypical behavior.”
  2. Commanders @ Eagles (-3.5) Who ya got?
  3. I think Karloftis is a good player.
  4. I am in agreement here. Still doesn’t change my initial premise that his current level of production is not what many hoped it would grow to be
  5. Is it? My point was that he has not elevated his level of play THIS SEASON to where many people (myself included) expected him to be in year two. You reference his year one catches as a rebuttal to my point that he’s improved in year two, yet he isn’t on pace to meet that total in 2024. If that’s the stat you want to use, it is directly supporting my stance that he has not in fact been more impactful. However, I don’t think receptions is a fair way to assess his presence. We don’t judge a running back’s impact on a game solely by looking at how many carries they had. We must do the same with pass catchers. His 73 catches came at less than 10 yards per reception in 2023, which is not a good number even for a tight end. Good rookie year, sure! I am not arguing that. Albeit a ton of quick game and check down work, he was making plays doing what he was asked. It left a lot to be desired. So looking again at year two, where many expected a much nore threatening presence from Kincaid, we haven’t really seen it. His current yards per reception is sitting at 10.5 (a respectable number- not the best for TEs but decent). Interestingly, his receptions are down, although he’s seen an increase in target share (16% to 20%) and is on pace to see more total targets than he saw last year. My take away here is that the Bills have continued to use Kincaid as a large part in their passing attack. He’s been asked to do more down the field, and in turn has seen some decrease in his overall catches and yards but a humble increase in yards per catch. But it hasn’t really amounted to the caliber of player we all hoped we’d be getting from a Round 1 talent. These numbers this year aren’t too far off from what we saw from Knox in 2021 and 2022. To be clear, I didn’t say he was a bum. He is nodoubt a good player. One area I’d like to see info on (maybe someone can provide it?) is the # of first downs he’s secured compared to last year. I’ve often seen 1D/ route run and 1D/ catch as good advanced indicators of efficiency. I’d like to see that compared from year one to year two, and how it stacks up to other pass catchers around the league. All of this doesn’t mean he is not the occasional playmaker, or won’t ascend to be a top 5 guy at the position, but to me there is no doubt he is not there yet. I was only agreeing that his potential absence this week might not be as heavily felt in terms of a talent gap from TE1 to TE2 compared to other potential absences.
  6. I am down to one fish, in case anyone was keeping track.
  7. Here’s the game highlights for last year’s divisional loss to the chiefs. A few notes: - Allen was a monster. Killed them running. He had a number of wonky unbelievable throws to different guys (including latavius murray!). - Shakir TD catch was insane. As was a Diggs grab over the middle. We also see a lot of the motions and routes (specifically the quick screens) that we’ve seen a lot of this year - ground game had some good runs although Allen was the leading rusher - D line never really got mahomes (0 sacks) but did get him out of the pocket quite a bit - Tyrel Dodson, AJ Klien, Dane Jackson, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer all started this game on defense. Wow. - Allen bomb to Sherfield incomplete (drop) - Damar Hamlin failed fake punt lol - Hardman fumble through the EZ - Bass misses 44 yarder to tie it What a game
  8. Can we get a red standing buffalo on the helmet with this combo? Americas team!
  9. Funny tidbit on the statler. While closed for renovation, a friend of mine had access to the main lobby. Last year, August 2023, my main fantasy league and closest friends held our annual draft in the abandoned bar off of the main lobby. It was pretty spooky and a fun memory/experience.
  10. I’m with @Straight Hucklebuck on this one. Kincaid is on pace for another 600ish yard season in year two. He really hasn’t taken that leap that many around the Mafia were hoping and frankly, expecting, from a first round pick who was touted as an elite pass catching talent. I hope he’s good to go on Sunday because he is a good player. The loss of Kincaid however is less impactful than that of Cooper. This is not to say he won’t contribute to improve and have more of a statistical impact on the games, but so far, I think it’s fair to say he’s not met the preseason expectations.
  11. I believe DVOA and First downs per play combined (offense/defebse) are some of the greatest indicators of further success. I will look for the source
  12. Might as well spill the beans now. What did he do?
  13. I’m guessing Shakir and Benford would be the priority, followed closely by Bernard and Cook in a distant fourth. I love Bernard but seeing them let Edmunds walk and prioritizing other positions early in the draft and FA make me feel like they think WR/CB are more important than LB,
  14. These two things do not match. You would look more to the seam ball when a team is playing cover 1 or 3. C2 would have both safeties ON the seams, and when a play such as vertical routes is called vs this look, you have your seam player either: 1) bend to the middle of the field to split the safeties 2) clear out safeties and run them out of the intermediate range for anything coming underneath It isn’t a great route combination for the TEs vs the two high look. It these circumstances you often see Allen throwing the boundary vert between the CB and deep half, or taking the check down if the flat player carries the boundary WR downfield. I think your overall sentiment here is one that I’d love to know more about in their scheming for downfield passing attack. They continue to lack the consistent ability to stretch the field in structure without relying on Allen to create. There are many levels to this (design, personnel, defensive scheme) but they just seem completely content taking the short to intermediate routes and allowing those deeper options to essentially act as clear outs
  15. I believe the bills should win this game, but my prediction is they won’t. There have been too many self-inflicted wounds that I think the Chiefs will exploit more than the Colts or Seahawks were able to do in the last few weeks. I really do think we have constructed a better roster overall, but their top end talent is superior, IMO. I also give the nod to Reid and the chiefs for having the edge in “knowing how to win” the close games. I am not just talking about a wild blocked FG to avoid a one point should be loss. Tack on the offensive injuries, already inconsistent passing offense, defensive lapses and reliance on turnovers, I see the Bills stumbling into the bye on this one. I stand by my prediction for this team, which has remained unchanged for the past three seasons; they will live and die by Josh Allen. There is no one else who can elevate the team the way he can and will need to if they want to contend on January.
  16. 3rd and 19, Verse has a clear shot at Tua, whiffs, 25 yard dump off to the RB….insane given the circumstances that brings them back into FG range and a two score game vs getting the ball back down 8 Insuing Rams drive: 1&10 dump off to the RB for no gain 2&10 15 yard sack 3&25 Cooper Kupp for 18. 4&7 Stafford fumbles snap goodnight
  17. I’ve never seen a team try to lose harder than the Rams right now Rose boom I need those INTS bro…fantasy team on the fritz and you’re my guy. Take one of those to the crib!
  18. So much for my shoot out prediction. This has been a rough watch. Rams fans would be so mad, if there were any
  19. Rams DL looks impressive
  20. What is wrong with the Rams offense? Just terrible on 1st Cant initiate contact going back against the grain. Gotta just get in the way now. Soft but it was a penalty IMO
  21. How did he drop that
  22. The timing feels funny on this, as he just had probably his worst game so far this year. I almost threw a shout out his way last week, but never got around to it. That said, for a last minute trade at the end of preseason for a late day three pick, I’ve felt like this was a solid move by Beane. He is currently 9th in the league in punt return average. He brings some juice and generally seems reliable catching the ball. He’s only returned 6 kickoffs, and took one 53 yards. I no longer feel like I am holding my breath with every punt return, and actually look forward to seeing what ground he can gain when given a chance. Keep up the good work, young man! *This site shows him as 7th in return average: https://www.footballdb.com/statistics/nfl/player-stats/punt-returns?sort=pravg
  23. Okay, I decided. Go Rams. Just never got around to taking down the St. Patrick’s Day decor
  24. Putting my Christmas tree up incase anyone cares.
