2019 Playoffs. 1st round
EmotionallyUnstable replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We had our quarterly congruence at work today. I spent the whole shift looking at data, analyzing our most recent numbers for patterns and similarities/discrepancies. We checked for validity and reliability in our assessments in order to be sure that we're accurately measuring productivity. It was a long 8 hours. I'm not sure what the hell everyone else did while we we're there but I'm about 96% sure the Bills are going to the playoffs. -

2019 Playoffs. 1st round

Week 12 Rooting Interests (Bolded teams): Broncos vs. BILLS...8-3! COLTS vs. Texans...Bringing the Colts to 7-4, and dropping the Texans to 6-5. It’s not ideal, but someone has to win. I think I’d prefer the Colts as the division winner. I’d want no part of having to play Watson in the playoffs round one. However, I think the Texans are the better team. Raiders vs. JETS...We can always hope for them to fall to 6-5, but they’ll likely take care of business and end the week at 7-4, one game back from us. DOLPHINS vs. Browns...I actually like the Dolphins here, and don’t think it’d be all that crazy to expect a good game from the Phins. A Browns loss will hand them their 7th loss, likely taking them out of contention. Steelers vs. BENGALS...You just never know with division games... JAGUARS vs. Titans...Both teams would then sit at 5-6. I’m not concerned about either, as I think they have a mixed bag along the rest of the way, and will both likely fizzle our to a disappointing 8-8 or 7-9 COWBOYS vs. Patriots...Let’s go!!!!! Ravens vs. RAMS...Not a huge deal here, but why not root for the NFC to serve up some humble pie and bring those birds back down to earth a few weeks ahead of our meeting. Ravens are hot, and I bet they keep it rolling Teams on Byes: Chiefs, Chargers Synopsis: This could be a very boring week for AFC teams looking to gain ground on the wild card. Many teams in the hunt play games vs. non-contenders and struggling teams. It’s also a chance for one of those teams to sneak a win, and the unfortunate victim to suffer a crippling loss. As many have stated, the only thing that matters is the Bills to win. I think that this point should be emphasized in a week where many contenders likely are looking at adding to their win columns. Playoff Predictions Post-Week 12: Division Leaders: Patriots (9-2) Ravens (9-2) Chiefs (7-4) Texans (7-4) Wild Card: 1) Bills (8-3) 2) Raiders (7-4) In the Hunt: 3) Steelers (6-5) 2) Colts (6-5) 5) Jaguars (5-6) 6) Browns (5-6) 7) Titans (5-6) Disclaimers: I am not sure who owns tie breakers, and am not willing to do the leg work on which 5th or 6th team has the H2H advantage in a hypothetical situation that probably won’t ever happen. -

a loss for them essentially kills their dwindling WC hopes. And might give us a good team to root for down the road, as they will still have games against the Chiefs and Raiders. I think the Raiders have a dangerously easy schedule the rest of the way. And the Chiefs have tough sledding. Idk if it’s best that the West best each other up, or one team runs away with the division and we root against the other -

I agree. But a charger win isn’t the worst thing either -

I’m curious how often they brought 5+ rushers, as compared to the previous games thus far. -

He was also slobbing all over the Patriots shaft that whole game. Can’t even hide his girly crush on Brady. I like his analysis but it’s extremely annoying -

I would agree. Idk with the tie breaker with Colts or Raiders would be, but Steelers SHOULD be head to head. keep winning and it won’t matter. 7-3 for the first time in what feels like my entire adult life and I like it. -

Ty Nsekhe injury - Updated to “day to day”

I get it. I just tend to lean on the less sympathetic side of injuries, for all players, Bills included. They know the risk, they earn the pay check. It sucks they get hurt and I wouldn’t want that to happen to anyone. However, the fact of the matter is that it is going to happen. They know it, we know it, and they’re compensated well for that risk, so it doesn’t bother me in the least. -

Gameday! Bills vs Dolphins PreGame Thread

sounds like a fantastic day. leaves?! you don’t have 6 inches of snow? Nice. The roast sounds good too. It’s a great fall/winter meal -
I agree. However, winning your division could still guarantee you a playoff spot, as it does now, without guaranteeing you home field advantage.

Tyler Kroft makes Trent Murphy look like a steal Yes, but Charles Clay never used “the shovel” as a TD dance during Snowvember’s relocated Jets’ game to Detroit. Charles Clays biggest contribution to this team was looking good getting off the bus. That is my only memory of Scott Chandler, and I love it.

It’s an interesting idea, but I don’t see the Wednesday and Tuesday games ever becoming a thing. I haven’t read through much of the discussion on this topic, but a few points stand out to me: -17 games benefits players since they’ll likely seek expanded checks from owners, while 17 games not only gives them another chance at FULL stadium revenue, but lengthens the season another week into the year. - I formally request no regular season games to be played before Labor Day. That’d really annoy me. I love the current kickoff scheduling. It signifies the end of summer to me and the start of a new season. I don’t think and of us up in WNY need to feel like summer is getting shorter! - if they have two bye weeks, which I believe they’ve had before, I would like to see if they could push the Super Bowl into Presidents Day Weekend. They’d be able to keep their traditional Sunday game while providing the Monday relief many fans ask for. I don’t know the specifics, but I think between an extra bye and an extra game, it’d get you to that weekend. -Keep Wild Card Weekend as is. It’s my favorite non-championship weekend of the year -Reseed teams based on record for byes/home field advantage. I don’t want to see any 9-7 division winners hosting a 10-6 wild card team Scheduling and Playoffs would be interesting to see how they’d reconfigure them, but is to tricky for my simple brain.
