  1. I hate waiting around all day for the game
  2. Brewed in Canandaigua, NY
  3. I never got the super-tight jersey. I get the extra cloth flapping around being an extra latch for a defender to snag, but have you ever felt a game-worn jersey? Even after warm-ups, these things are soaked and stretch with ease. Notice they mention it takes 2-3 guys to get them on, but almost always can get it off with no trouble. in college, I had a few teammates who went the super-tight route and some who just didn’t care. I don’t think there is any measurable or meaningful difference in the results of any given play. I mean, by the time the game starts, is all wet and elasticy anyways
  4. In a pinch. I just don’t think he’s any good, anywhere on defense. And maybe their best RB
  5. It’s amazing how well pampered and cared for these guys are. What an amazing thing to experience
  6. How the heck did Tyler Kroft get placed on the protocol, too. I can’t see how they’d be spending a lot of time, or be within proximity of one another for an extended period of time?
  7. The OL has been the unsung hero of this passing attack so far this year. They have been far from perfect but have held up respectably. Allen makes this all the more interesting. Having a big-bodied, elusive and mobile quarter back may play into the Williams deal, IMO. They paid Morse. They paid Dawk. They have a few big contracts on the horizon. Beane is going to have to prioritize where he continues to dish out $$ and I think the OL will likely be a spot we don't see many more, if any, large/long contracts. On a side note: Beane has been pretty outstanding at bringing in competitive and serviceable OLmen since he first walked onto the job. I imagine he likes he chance in FA of signing guys to plug holes, as we've seen with Mongo, Spain, Boettger, Bodine, Winters, etc.
  8. I think this is playing with fire. If they choose to go this route, it will be aptly timed and not overly used. Delayed blitzes, overloads, etc. But I can't see them bringing 5 or 6 consistently.
  9. I'd like to send a big "screw u" to the good people at Fox for making the Buffalo area (and oddly enough ONLY that area in the NE) endure yet ANOTHER Tom Brady game. Between him and the Pats in primetime, I can't escape it!
  10. The key to stopping Kyler Murray (maybe) in the run game is as follows: We need tremendous DL play and disciplined responsibilities by our LBs. They cannot allow themselves to be fooled by their eyes, especially on zone reads, options, motions, etc. The second we have players going off script (crashing on a zone read when they are QB responsible, going back door instead of THROUGH a block), KM will gash us. I have trust in McD that he is going to be PREACHING gap integrity and "playing your role" in the defense this week - as usual, but possibly more-so than ever. The players have to buy in, and allow their teammates to make plays when their number is called upon, staying home on their assignments so that Kliff cannot take advantage of cheating players they see from the booth. This will also help limit their edge on play action roll outs, bootlegs and sprint outs. I don't expect many DL stunts or run blitzes, because I think this is how you get caught in trouble vs. a team like ARI. They are not maulers on the ground game, and their best true RB is not healthy, and might not even play. I expect a very safe game call from McD/Fraiser on early downs, despite the aggressiveness they've shown in recent weeks. I think they'll be more willing to let their guys play, and make the cards beat them with long drives and working the field (much like teams have tried to make us do!) Thoughts?
  11. I have no product in particular, per say, but this does remind me of a way to pass the time. One debate my wife and another couple like to have is the "Generic or Name Brand" game. I'll say a product and you tell me if you'd buy it generic or would prefer it name brand. So far (since we are cheap and broke) the only item we prefer name brand is Canada Dry Ginger Ale
  12. Del'Shawn Phillips to the IR per Bills Text Darren Lee promotion in the near future?
  13. Holy crikey...Matt Barkley is just not what you'd think of a football player lol that video is hilarious.
  14. Got it, thanks. It is weird.
  15. What kind of authentic look is that?! "Alright, fellas, try not to be duped here. ... but if #5 is the quarterback, it MIGHT be a pass." I like it. The Bills defense is due for a big forced fumble on one of the Murray runs. If I'm McD and Fraiser, I am PREACHING to the DL and LBs pursuit. Dude hangs the ball at his hip as he runs. Just looked it up. Actually, I'm quite surprised he's only fumbled 4 times this year, and only lost two of them. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MurrKy00.htm
  16. I would not have pegged Matt Barkley as the guy...
  17. virtual learning has its own set of unique psychological dilemmas. There is tons on research on this but one area which I found very interesting: Kids today see the digital world through Instagram, Twitter, tik tok, etc which provides an altered reality. Photoshop, filters, animations, etc create a sense of perfection within the digital world. Students in today’s world are MUCH more conscious and concerned with their image during virtual learning and fear to make errors or take risks, or look silly and not project themselves in the mirror image of those they see online. Kids even worry about what people can hear/see in the background of their screens. it may be different for some, in the sense that it removes any physical bullying. The digital age has opened a can of worms for children, platforms and parents/educators everywhere that we are still learning to navigate
  18. I do wonder if Beane and Co already have a number, terms, structure, etc in mind
  19. Here is a low key match-up to watch: Haason Reddick vs. Dion Dawkins (or whatever Tackle) Reddick leads the team with 5 sacks and 9.5 TFLs. He has played over 90% of defensive snaps over the last two games. I'm interested to see this match-up because I believe is Allen is afforded the time in the pocket, as he was given the first half of the Seahawks games, he will torch them. Buddha vs. the world is another: How will they deploy him vs our offense. I imagine he'll be down near the LOS a lot. Can Allen and co. maneuver the protection to account for him without isolating him rushing the passer against the likes on Knox (see Knox v. Adams last week).
  20. Not sure the quality of the source, but this article is from 2018: http://footballnextlevel.com/tag/2019-practice-squad-pay/ Practice Squad: The maximum players allowed on a NFL teams practice squad is 10. A practice squad player can sign with any teams 53 man roster at any time and if signs with another team then its own the player is guaranteed 3 regular season game checks (Assuming there is 3 regular season games left). EDIT: Okay, I can confirm this. Here is the 2020 CBA. The following is an excerpt from Article 33, Practice Squads (p.195): "Section 6. Active List (Other Clubs): If a player on the Practice Squad of one club (Club A) signs an NFL Player Contract with another club (Club B), (1) the player shall receive three weeks salary of his NFL Player Contract at the 53-player Active/Inactive List minimum even if he is terminated by Club B prior to earning that amount, and (2) Club B is required to count the player on its 53-player Active/Inactive List for three games (a bye week counts as a game) even if he is terminated, traded, or assigned via waivers to another club or is signed as a free agent to another club’s 53-player roster or another club’s Practice Squad prior to that time." So I'm not sure if this applies only to a NEW team signing a player off of a practice squad or if their current team signs them. HOWEVER, under the 2020 CBA, two practice quad players that are elevated to active rosters are not techniqually signed to active roster contracts, and are only entitled to 1/17th minimum salary for that week's game, and then revert back to the practice squad. So the 2020 CoVID elevations definitely dont apply to the 3-game minimum payment because they never terminate the practice squad contract.
  21. not sure if this is what you meant, but I believe the 3 week minimum only relates to guaranteed monies. The player themselves could be released at anytime but activating them to their roster would result in a guarantee that player is paid for at least 3 weeks regardless if he is on the team or not (at least in a normal year).
  22. Athough the Bills could offer him a contract if another team was interested, he isn’t obligated to take it. Practice squad players (at least in a normal year) are essentially free agents and can/will field offers/calls from other teams. It is usually a courtesy to discuss and check in with their current team to see if the could offer something the player likes better
  23. I’m watching....why not!
