  1. And very possibly his last. Got to appreciate the time you have…best of luck, Mike!
  2. Haha cut him a break, I suppose, it is his preseason too!
  3. Solid defense and invest in the running game
  4. Dude was a tackling machine a few years ago with the brownies. Lost track of him last year, just like everything else related to Jacksonville. Interested to see what the compensation is. Steelers really doubling down on the “old way” to win
  5. Sometimes it’s just routine for me at least. I find if I get in the routine of going, I can’t fall back asleep without it (middle of the night). Every so often when I fall into this cycle, I have to will myself to just hold it as long as possible and it slowly goes away.
  6. Diet all the way. Except for Root Beer. That’s got to be a classic fountain bev. PSA: Wegmans carries this diet sparkling strawberry lemonade, only canned for some reason (no 2L). Do yourself a favor and go get some.
  7. Watching the first ever Field of Dreams game on Fox. Pretty awesome field and unique venue. Amazing for me as the movie is one of my favorites. Sox lead 1-0. Any updates on the Steelers are appreciated!
  8. If I had to peg them, they’re more of a 4-2-5
  9. What is the NFL’s end game with this? Goodell suspended Zeke 6 games for his gf filing charges of abuse, to which is he never charged. Yet 22 civil suits against Watson and not even moved to the commissioners exempt list? Is the NFL headed for a stand off with the Texans, waiting to see what the other guy’s move is in order to save face? I think it’s awful.
  10. Wasn’t he listed as a TE last year? maybe I’m splitting hairs
  11. Yup which is why I don’t see a scenario with Moss, Single, Breida, Jones AND Gilliam (5) unless they only carry two TEs as Gunner mentions above
  12. I think @Alphadawg7 has a great point about Gilliam (FB) as an emergency TE. What does a 3rd TE offer you on your active roster? If they don’t play special teams, I’d rather them try to sneak a guy like Sweeney onto the PS and then have the option to promote him as needed given the current CoVID rules for PS elevations. Historically, they’ve carried 3 RBs and 1 FB, or 4 in total. Think back to Pat DiMarco and his ST contributions. I don’t see a way they carry, 4RBs AND a FB unless they really only have 2 TEs on the roster.
  13. Upon another look, I think a question you’ll have to wrestle with in your scenario, if they don’t keep Taiwan Jones or DE Johnson, both whom have been praised as solid ST guys, are they really going to keep 11 DL, and only 6 LBs? You know how much they love their special teams In previous years, I’d say they’d be hanging onto developmental guys. Players that they took a chance on, or who they drafted and need time to groom. Reality is now upon us, and it’s time to win. I think they’re going to opt to send the “not ready” type players packing and hang onto guys who they know can fill a specific role (special teams, 3rd down pass rush, extra WR). They are in win now mode, IMO, and that means packing the 53 with guys who can play.
  14. Trades like this preseason are more common than you’d think
  15. I was looking at the potential 53, and for the first time in a LONG time, it seems relatively easy to figure out how the pieces fall into place. With the exception of maybe 6 roster spots, I think the top 46/47 guys are buttoned up. That being said, there seems to be a decent amount of young, players with potential that the Bills just can’t afford to keep. Pair this with Beane’s ability to turn roster bubble players into draft picks (see Teller, Wyatt) I imagine a potential trade is imminent. My guess is that it infiltrates the line. Guys I could see on the go: OL: Lamp, Bates, Boettger DL: Phillips, Zimmer, Johnson What ya got?
  16. I wouldn’t be so quick to assume Harry makes the roster, no?
  17. Crazy that buffalo gets all the bad crap about being a cold, snow riddled, terrible weather city. Yet today alone the heat took out guys from Texas (Beasely), Florida (Breida) and Louisiana (White)
  18. There are no seas in the ocean.
  19. If they make the offer, and they’re serious about hiring you, explain your situation to management and I imagine they could hook you up with HR, to help you navigate these circumstances. Chances are they’ve dealt with something similar, or can at least offer you some more meaningful advice. I’ve only ever been hired using an interview process once, but in my experience, it’s best to lay all your cards on the table.
  20. Despite the fact that 3/4 of those guys are very different in style of play to Edmunds, they are all more valuable IMO. Maybe, he is a better Lb than Smith. Still, I think the way things are looking for contracts, 10M is not that far off. Im not a big fan of Edmunds, as much as I try to be, so I hope they are prudent with this, especially given how many deals they’ve shelled out recently
  21. well done He makes a baller salad dressing
  22. I see you point. But that’s where McD and Frazier earn their keep. As much as we focus on the player v player match-up, I don’t think it’s stressed enough how imperative it is that the game plan, play calling and personnel decisions put players in a position to do what they do best.
