Is there any cold/wet weather prep?
EmotionallyUnstable replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall
In college, we would simulate a wet football in 7v7. It was dumb. They’d dunk the entire ball, over and over into a bucket of water. In the games, they’d switch out the ball so often it was never similar to how we’d practice. The bigger issue is keeping a dry hand and towel. I think if anything, I’d be more effective to practice throwing with a wet hand than a wet ball. -

No way the Browns can pay Mayfield. When I saw that he’s thrown 10/6 TD/INT this year, I thought it was an error. apparently not -

Top FA Veteran CB's available
EmotionallyUnstable replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thise three guys are primarily slot players. Siran and Cam have played on the boundary, but it isn’t not there natural fit. Siran is more of a big nickel and cam more of a traditional slot defender I.e. taron With Wallace and Jackson your boundary CB1 and CB2 and no clear #3 option, I think they’re almost certainly going to sign a PS guy to the active roster or elevate a boundary guy each week on game day -
This seems like an XFLish idea Vince McMahon would love!!

Does CB Now Become a Necessity Early in 2022 Draft
EmotionallyUnstable replied to thronethinker's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair enough. I respect that. Just seems a bit quick to whip out the old mock draft machine with more than 6 games to go (and a deep playoff run on top of it). -

frickin love the grit he (appears) to play with. Went to look to buy some Knox Sox… saw the prices and remembers how cheap I am. Maybe after these Blue lights!

A good crack block by a WR or TE can be very convincing. At the speed these guys play, it doesn’t take much. A slight chip can almost entirely nullify the DE in a sprint roll out while allowing the WR/TE to still get into an underneath route. That being said if the DE wants to play a wide 9 on the TE, then they absolutely should be running the ball.

Not only does it limit the down field options, it also shrinks the field of play for the QB to scramble. If you want to move the pocket, how about some naked boot action? The Bills love a good PA fake, 7 stepper in the pocket. Give Breida an outside zone PA fake and send Allen out on his own vs a DE who may or may not keep contain. I like our chances. Disclaimer: yes I know it still shrinks the field for the QB as a runner but with proper scheme they could have a personal protector to allow for a throw back 11 personnel, pin and pull with TE/T combo. Knox blocks down on the 7T DE and the tackle pulls out behind him. The rest of the line slides gap protection and the RB either cleans up the mess or keeps the edge clean. Sets up a perfect TE screen or throw back for later on. JmO

I respect this opinion. I also respect McD’s “next man up” and “1/11th” approach. We were thin at corner to begin with, so I imagine that Fraiser won’t sit idly by and just plug and play who’s next on the depth chart. Question for all: Would you expect this injury to make the defense even more conservative in their coverages and pressures or more aggressive with them? My initial take was that they’d ramp up the pressures, hanging out their dynamic duo on the back end to cover up and extra field. Now as I write this I almost wonder if they’ll play less man, or softer zone. I suppose it depends on the opponent and the man who plays CB. Friggin Jets fans…

Ed Oliver has been a beast the last few games...
EmotionallyUnstable replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lots of traps and WHAM blocks by TEs. I’m sure McD probably coached him up about playing his gap and maintaining his 1/11th. I question how ready they were to see those types of plays. That being said, he is all over the place. His run stuffing ability, his pass rush, his hustle. He is a bad man. -
Huge blow. Terrible for Tre, he is such a great guy. I’m glad he got his contract and love he is likely a Bill for life. But… How many people at the beginning of the year said, “The Bills can win the super bowl because of how well Tre White plays” ? None. We will miss Tre. His ability, his fire and his personality more than we can probably measure. But this team will live and die by Josh All-in and the offense. We’re just going to have to score more now than we thought.

I think I actually spend more while staying at home than at the game. This was extremely true from about 2011-2018 when December tickets were essentially given away. -
