Week 4: Bills at Ravens 10/2 1pm
EmotionallyUnstable replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
And that’s where Singletary looked at his best - when he has multiple opportunities to get in a rhythm and stay physically in the game. so far this year, RB carrys per game: W1 - 15 W2 - 20 W3 - 14 If you’re splitting that three ways, I don’t know how you can expect any of those guys to get into the zone. That being said, I believe our issues up front are not as much to do with who is at running back, and more to do with what is happening up front -
The issues with the ground game lie largely beyond who is carrying the ball, and everything to do with what’s going on up front. Just too many plays where our guys have to beat a player in the backfield just to get back to the LOS. I also think the RPO read they stuck with was difficult to get going given the delayed style handoff and lack of momentum getting the ball carrier going.

I agree with a lot of this sentiment. I do think it’s a huge ask of our QB1. He is the undoubtable God of our franchise, and they are asking him to move mountains. It’d be nice if they could find more ways to take some of that pressure off of his shoulders. Nice run by SaQuon

Week 4: Bills at Ravens 10/2 1pm

There really aren’t many teams that still do this. Most guys, even the heavy hitters are getting spelled by RB2. I agree the Bills could look into this by starting to give carries to two guys, not three. -
I’m confused at those calling for a fine/suspension/punishment to the Fins. Doesn’t an independent neurologist have to approve the reentry of a player? If they gave them the go-ahead, how would that be on the Dolphins ? They got him cleared, so he played. Am I missing something? I know they said it was his back, but still, the independent Dr. still needs to pass him.

It’s the result that makes it a wasted down. If they could become decently consistent with the ground game, I think they’d have no problem with a more balanced attack. The only thing is that they’re just not consistent to a point where it become detrimental to their success. They are literally losing yards on multiple plays.

This Jimmy Kimmel and Joe Buck segment is terrible

Watching this new Dahmer mini series with the wifey, will tune in for the game shortly. Hope I don’t miss anything too good
-
Some good punt coverage though Like, it’s entirely legal to smash your metal helmet into a guys rib cage but hey, “no tripsies”
-
Why is tripping a ball carrier illegal? I don’t get it

Hard to tell anything with blocking line that today. -

Would have liked to have another guy today. We were hurting at WR but apparently we will always carry 5WRs and 3RBs this year. Seems crazy to me, given we have a base set of 3 WRs and almost exclusively feature 1 RB looks. -
Let’s see if the Broncos string together a 20 play, 87 yard drive from their own EZ and turn it into 3 points… ….I’m not sure if that’s a good thing….

NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - Post game thread
EmotionallyUnstable replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Remove the Moss run (43 yards) and all Allen’s runs….we were 14 attempts for 25 yards on the ground. A measly 1.78 yards per carry. -
Maybe Trent Williams can come play right tackle for us?
-
Also hit Allen after the play while he was going down from behind on a scramble earlier in the game

Dang, I was really feeling okay until the Morse inactive - We are almost healthy on offense, but that is a large loss regarding setting protections. Defensively, no surprises. -

Exactly. I just see McDermott doubling down on the bend don’t break, 1/11th, do your job style D. Can they execute that? Gotta finish plays….even when they seem like minimal gains -

Haven’t seen any menus posted, but didn’t think it deserved its own thread: sushi, anyone? fish fry? mahi-mahi? -

I am expecting a very passive approach from Fraiser and company on D. They will likely stick with their front 4 pressure, while keeping the top on the speedy WRs and as a result, probably give up chunk yardage at times in that 12-15 yard window and invite the quick dump offs. I am okay with this. Make them earn their points. Can you force 10-12 play drives? I think Tua and company, paired with our pressure up front, leaves little wiggle room for error, especially when you factor what we have on the other side of the ball. That being said, we HAVE to tackle well. We cannot be in the business of letting a 5 yard pass go for 50. Offensively, you know the drill. Allen will take over this game, despite our issues on defense. I think we will see a relatively closer game that the first two weeks, but still win decisively. Bills over Dolphins, 35-28 -
Tre White to PUP list, out first 4 games

The Hyde injury has me wondering about Tre. Haven’t heard much of anything regarding his recovery or potential return to practice week 5. -

Bills have carried 5 WR and 3 RB into both games so far. Does that change tomorrow? I am expecting so. I think we’ll see Moss inactive with 6 WR. We’re going to throw the ball 50 times. Need the horses ready to run. -
I find this interesting because we all obviously know this, but does the average NFL fan? They look at buffalo, see 40+ points and the best offense in football and do they really look at McD and think defense? The HC position is so much more than what side of the ball you have experience with. The intricate knowledge and experience needed at this level often makes coordinators masters of both sides of the ball. Once a guy becomes an HC, he no longer, in theory, has a side of the ball. He just wants to win football games
