  1. Carson Wentz has made 128 million dollars in the NFL over the past 7 years. 28 of which he is earning this year. That breaks down to be about 1.6 million per game check. Carson Wentz made 1.6 million dollars tonight. Let that sink in.
  2. NFL said, “ehhhh close enough, we need 6”
  3. Last weeks game was at least humorous. This is just ugly.
  4. Appreciate the recap. That way I can shut off WGR when they bring on Paul Hamilton
  5. Man, I just realized: The Bills play the Bears on Xmas eve… looks like we’re opening presents early this year, boys!
  6. Kirk said “Washington finally starting to string together some runs and passes and get in a groove” Uuuhhhh those were penalties but okay
  7. NFL called the refs and said throw some flags were trying to get some points in this game
  8. Wentz…99 yard TD pass like Allen in our near future? Magic 8 ball says…
  9. Al Michaels, as much as I like him as a media personality, does nothing for me with play by play. Just very monotone, no excitement in his call.
  10. Who scored? I could look myself but I feel like you want to tell me.
  11. He was in the opening preview of their defense. Maybe due to injury? nickle?
  12. Do the bears really run the ball on 60% of snaps? Holy hell could you imagine if that was the bills? This place would burn.
  13. Maybe I should rewatch chiefs raiders instead 😂
  14. Might we see a TD tonight? Did not know former bill Rashad Wildgoose starts for Washington. Am I the only one watching? I am pathetic.
  15. 2nd half run play notes: 1&10 first drive of 2nd half on the 20 -Counter to Singletary, Dawkins pulls and seals DE. Morse and Brown up to 2nd level and get on bodies decently, shakir with a nice block. Singletary for 8. 1&10 variation of pin and pull, Morse/Bates pull around with Brown and Morris down blocking onto DT and DE. Bates destroys CB at LOS, Morse leads around upfield to miss 51 Jack, he gets enough. Singletary for 6 1&10 Pin and Pull variation, this time Bates/Sweeney blocking down with Morse and Brown pulling around. Brown kicks out Safety at end of LOS, Morse leads through. Tackle made by backside backer (Bush), scraped through the mess for shoestring tackle. Singletary for 5 (Drive results in a Morris fumble from the 1) 6OL (Hart) 1&10, stretch to Cook away from strength, cuts back to the heavy side, whole OL is washing the DL, Sweeney makes the TD block here, gets enough of the DE to stake him to create whole off the back end of Hart and moves onto 2nd level to cut off safety trying to fill hole. Cook does the rest. Touchdown. Keenum Enters Game 1&10 to cook, essentially the same play he scores on out of different formation. No cut back here. OL moves the LOS with good push and Cook presses the hole. Brown Morris Bates with a good push. Gain of 6ish It is wild the only scored 38 points in this game. I’m liking what I’m seeing from the pin and pull run game (idk what they call it, tbh). I’m not so crazy about the RPOs. I think they are finding their groove up front on the ground. They will never be road graders, moving tough DLs and just muscling yards off of teams. I think their future on the ground is utilizing the speed of our lineman and using angles and misdirection to their advantage.
  16. I suppose this is a good place for my notes regarding the run game (not Josh): FIRST HALF -2&10 from the 2 Bates blown up, Saffold and Morse miss blocks…9 man box. No gain. -2nd and 6 after the Steelers fumble…bates hold as he overpersued 51 Jack…otherwise good gain for Singletary 1&10 Dive to Singletary knifing DB makes the play cutting in front of gabe Davis. Looked clean up front. Bunched formation. No gain. -4th drive from the 1 Moss makes nice cut off the backend of the zone, great push up front, stumbles as he turns it up feild and falls for 6 -toss to cook to the bunch set…motion away. Morris whiffs on a crack block as Dawkins and saffold fold around, forced to cut it back into traffic flowing. Loss. -1st and 10 RPO zone to Cook for 2. Bates/Brown double team gets zero movement…Brown unable to get to the backer with Sweeney also unable to move the DE. Cook cuts off the back of the zone into waiting backer. Falls forward for 2 -Singletary for 25. The old pin and pull. Saffold seals (hardly) the nose with Morse and Dawkins pulling around. Single follows Morse through a tight squeeze and picks up two good downfield blocks (Sweeney and Davis) to break it for a big gain. Not that anyone cares but I’ll be doing the second half tonight
  17. I’m sure it’s very difficult. That being said, they know it’s a business. From a dollars stand point, I believe being elevated from PS guarantees 3 game checks at the vet minimum. This means that guys can make more more from a single game active than they’d otherwise wake all year on the PS. It probably stinks having to deal with the uncertainty and tumultuous style of being a fringe NFLer, but I can imagine the $$$ boost makes those transactions easier to swallow. EDIT: correction - the three game checks are only if you are signed to active roster. Elevation is only a single game boost to active player pay, yet is still about 3x what they make on the practice squad that week. So for Prince Emili, who signed to the active roster Week 3, and then was immediately released following the game, he still gets active game checks for weeks 4 and 5 despite not being on the roster.
  18. It’d be great if they can pull this off somehow. I’m not holding my breath. Either way, we have to handle our business next weekend!
  19. Just throw it deep 4 times in a row to Adams
  20. Carr legitimately has only thrown to the RBs and gotten sacked. Aside from the opening TD. Can he do anything else?
  21. 1 score game vs 2 score game. wont matter though when they’re up 21 by the end of this game!
  22. I feel bad for Maxx Crosby.
