In college a decade ago, a buddy of mine and I decided to watch it after a long night out with lots of drinks. We caught it being replayed on some cable television station, commercials and all.
I watched about an hour, fell asleep on the couch for an hour and a half, woke up and there was still another two hours left in the movie!
Longest movie ever. Or most commercials. Idk but def thoroughly enjoyed the classic Mexican standoff scene.
Our interior OL will have a challenge ahead of them, with Quinnen Williams on the docket. Glad to hear Saffold is playing well. Hopefully they can continue this upward trend the past few weeks up front!
No mention of Milano as a DNP today? idc who your opponent is, that’d be a huge blow. Something to definitely keep an eye on later this week.
Gotta imagine Dodson would be next up, especially against the Jets
My in laws, who moved from Rochester to Buffalo, still order them as “Buffalo Wings” when we go out 🤦🏻♂️
“How do you want your wings?”
Buffalo. Can we get those extra crispy?
…I just shake my head and telecommunicate an apology to the server.
I am not all concerned about the Jets offense and our defenses ability to match up.
As many have alluded to, the Jets defense has talented players at every level:
Upfront Quinnen Williams, John Franklin Myers, Jermaine Johnson, Carl Lawson will be a force to handle.
They have veteran LBs.
On the back end, Gardner has been lights out.
Our offense will need to be layered, and Dorsey will obviously play a huge role in finding ways to exploit their D. Looking forward to seeing them have to find alternatives when things don’t go their way. It seems that the Pack DBs did a good job of holding the WRs in check later on in the game. What do we have up our sleeve when we can’t move the ball down the field? Allen runs, TE outlet, RB check downs? I look forward to seeing what other wrinkles Dorsey can add this week.
Anyone care to wager what number Hines will wear? Previously 21 (Poyer) with the Colts, 7 in college (Johnson) and 2 in HS (Bass).
Available #s:
1, 5, 9, 11, 12, 16, 19, 20, 22, 23, 29, 31, 32, 34-38 (many more in 40s)
I’ll guess #22
All that aside-
They haven’t given up more than 21 points all season. That includes the chiefs, dolphins, titans and reigning super bowl champs.
Jared Goff will not hang 35 on this team, with or without Poyer or Hockenson in either lineup IMO.
They are elite.
Beane has some very tricky salary cap work to do next off season as they build for the future. There are a ton of guys that are due, some big, some immediate, some role players. I think their success as a team will largely have an effect on what happens for many of these guys. Not for Edmunds.
As much as this fan base (myself included) get frustrated by the style of play that @Shaw66 illudes to, Edmunds is their guy. Like Beane has said time and time again. They draft, develop and retain their own.
I have no clue about the money, and with big names like Poyer, Eddy O, Gabe Davis and Singletary needing need deals either this year or next, plus other part time guys like Phillips, Lawson, and Quessenbury, it becomes tricky to keep all the pieces.
Make no mistake about it though. He is a pillar of this team and defense, they will do everything they can to keep him here and maintain their defensive prowess with him roaming in the middle. It just means some of those priority role players walk.
After seeing their pass rush destroy the bengals offense, and the thumping run game on O….I’m doubling down on my take. I would have rather seen the Bengals win, and bury the Browns hopes at a playoff spot.
