  1. You’d think. Sometimes though these kind of games get sloppy, and they can turn into big plays, defensive scores, etc. Could end up being entertaining, anyways!
  2. @PatsFanNH When I eluded to the return of white and Elam, I meant strictly in regards to boundary corners. Taron Johnson will be in a majority of the snaps at nickel. In the past while playing man, they’ve used Milano, Edmunds, even big nickel Siran Neal, to cover tight ends. So how do they cover everyone? It depends on how formation. personnel and down and distance. Either way, it’s likely to be a combination of the above mentioned players, in addition to Poyer/Hamlin from the safety position
  3. HOW WAS THERE NO OVERNIGHT UPDATES TO THIS SITUATUION???? Von should be required to sign up for tbd, and post updates/photos of his knee so we can all diagnose the severity of his injury and provide him with opinions. Lord knows we have ton of those around here!
  4. One undeniable contributing factor IMO is that he has been poor as a blocker, limiting his snap count and thus, receiving opportunities
  5. And yet, he saw 100% of the snaps on Thursday. For some reason they like him over Benford. When guys rotated in, #47 came out. We’ll see how they manage with the injury and promotion of Rhodes.
  6. This is 💯 why I hope the Bills continue their upward trend of more man coverage for the following reasons: -depleted edge rush ….with Miller out and Groot up the the air, I would love to see forcing the Pats to try and push the ball down the field. -return of White/Elam …ramping up White’s snaps and Elam returning full strength, these are two inmediate upgrades in man coverage -average skills players …the Pats are average, at best, when it comes to their talent at WR, TE, RB. That’s not to say they can’t be successful, but I like our chances taking away the quick hitters, delaying the throw, forcing the ball to be held, creating multiple read scenarios, allowing for the interior rush to develop, etc. McD and Fraiser are very familiar with Parker, and Agolor and Myers are decent role players but neither can/will take over a game. Hunter Henry is a great piece, and likely a top 10 TE receiving option. The Bills have had their fair share of handling guys of this caliber (Kelce, Higbee, Andrews, etc) so far this year and have faired quite well in doing so. I don’t think the defensive scheme that we’ve seen for years is going to up and vanish this week, but we have undoubtedly seen a shift in their balance and willingness to bring pressures from LBs and Safetys, as well we playing more press and man coverage. It will be interesting to see what looks the Pats try utilize. If I were them, I’d try and force the Bills out of nickel and then use motions or formations to find advantageous match ups against our 3rd backer (if edmunds is out).
  7. As others have mentioned, I think they’ll keep him out another week backed up to the mini-bye with 10 days off… If he is truly ready to go, the saddle up for THURSDAY because he would be a large addition to an already decimated defense. Edmunds return would be equally, if not more, important this week. Based off what I’ve seen from Klien, it wouldn’t surprise me if they erred on the side of caution and also gave the 10 days off to fully heal. Morse will likely go IMO, as having finished the Browns game, he couldn’t be too banged up. A short week likely played into his absence. Dawkins falls into the same area as Groot IMO…ankle sprain likely looking at a week off leading to 17 days from injury to his return.
  8. Just be back as close to the playoffs as possible, whatever it takes.
  9. Stash Benford on IR with White/Elam/Dane/Rhodes on the active roster. Could keep him there all year if they choose. In fact, they very well might.
  10. Hopefully you won’t have to!
  11. Any big name WRs or OL in the Michigan/OSU game to watch?
  12. Was he injured in the final play of the half that Brown (yet again) gets beat around the edge? Dawkins did not play a great game. But I have to imagine it was better than what Q gave us.
  13. Makes me wonder, what do these film room and install days look like in the QB and offensive rooms… Dorsey: “alright here’s the game plan” Allen: J. Brady: What is the back and forth conversation that is happening? Is Allen having a hand in this process? It was my understanding one of the main reasons people were excited about retaining and promoting Dorsey was because Allen and him had a good working rapport and seemed to be on the same page with a lot of things. Does Dorsey explain the “why” behind their scheme and game plan to allen, and if so, what questions are being asked? Is Allen always on board? How about McDermott? Joe Brady? Keenum? It will never come out because of how well and buttoned up this team appears to be in regards to keeping things in house, but I am dying to know what the film study and install day conversations/thoughts and discussions look like
  14. Thank you. I encourage everyone on this board to find some perspective: In regards to rushing defense, we still rank: 5th in points allowed per game (18.1 p/g) 8th in rushing yards per game (106 y/g) We are winning the battle up front with stout DL play despite being devistated with injuries all around the defense. As backwards as it may sound, the Pats are more likely to find success through the air vs the Bills than with the run. I hope they ramp up the man coverage this week. I know a few of the Pats WRs were dinged (Myers, returned to the game, Agohlor at the end) but with the hopeful return of Edmunds/Milano on Hunter Henry and White/Elam working back towards full strength, it makes sense to me to devote more rushers to try and get Mac rattled. We are missing our #1 pass rushing threat and I don’t think lining up 4 and playing zone repeatedly will get it done against their passing attack. My 2 cents Yes, 100%. They’re making great reads/stops and allowing too many yards after contact.
  15. 3rd and 1 from the Lions 47 with 4:16 left in the first. Shotgun snap, draw to Singletary. We have 7 to block 8. Unblocked DT #96 taken out of the play by an immediate jump cut by Motor and he puts his foot in the ground and plows ahead for the first down. Nothing revolutionary, extravogent or ultra impressive. Just a reliable RB1 who can get it done.
  16. My entirely uninformed medical prediction (as that appears to be a thing) is that he doesn’t play Thursday, but returns for the next Sunday home vs. the Jets. That’ll be 17 days from injury to game time, which seems like adequate recovery time based on the way he was moving around after the game
  17. I REALLY hope Fraiser dials up more man coverage next week and brings pressure. They’ve been more willing to do so as of late, but the injury to Von, and the return of White and Elam have me thinking they can rattle Jones and hold up on the back end
  18. At the rate we’ve been rehabbing, it’s good to know we’ll AT LEAST get him back by next Thanksgiving.
  19. It’s the same phenomenon as when a player acts like he catches a pass that he clearly didn’t…like bro, you KNOW they have cameras and replays all up in this place. Just, why?
  20. Injuries have been wild. If they’d clean up the missed tackles, it’d be even more unbelievable. The amount of times they’ve bailed out our underperforming offense with quality defensive performances is notable especially with the number of back-ups we’ve trotted out all over the field. People don’t like watching this defense because it is frustrating to swallow. It’s also frustrating to offenses who face us. Imagine that at full strength with pass-rushers full force and good coverage on the back end.
  21. Is Von already ruled out, or just suspected due to severity with injury of this nature?
  22. Victory Monday shirt has been getting lots of use at work the last few years.
  23. We deserately need the following: -get healthy -find our offensive rhythm -take over the world!
  24. Ah damn, now I need a “Victory Friday” shirt.
