  1. Why doesn't that make sense? In no way shape or form is EJ the be all end all QB for this team. Mallett was considered a top QB in the 2011 draft, and just because he didn't unseat Tom freaking Brady he is considered a lesser QB talent than EJ Manuel, ok whatever. If you think the Bills brass was only interested in trading for Mallett to only be a backup, I have some more waterfront land for sale in Florida, you also interested?
  2. If they had got Mallett, I don't think they would have got Orton. I don't think they go get Mallett to just be the backup. Sorry, that makes no sense, to bring him in as a backup, why not just stay with Tuel, (i know he sucks), but it's not proven either that he would have been any better then Tuel. IMO he would have been brought in to challenge for the #1.
  3. Lol, backup to one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. What do you think EJs stats would look like if he was in NE? Pretty irrelevant. There was a reason why they inquired about Mallett, IMO it wasn't about being a backup. As you have already pointed out his stats show he has no on field experience, so they were not after a "proven quality backup" as you want to think because Mallett had no experience.
  4. and if you think Mallett was going to be brought in to be the backup, I have some waterfront property in Florida for sale, you interested?
  5. Right, it's just preseason. That's why the Bills and Pats were talking about Ryan Mallett. Please with this preseason crap, EJ is not a good QB!
  6. I think it is delusional to not think he is going to challenge EJ. If the coaching staff was all in on EJ, Orton would have never been brought in. Bottom line is Marrone, Whaley and whoever else put all their eggs in EJ's basket are not 100% confident that EJ is the future, IMHO. and they are going to do what is the best thing to win games now, if it's Orton fine, if it's EJ, fine, they want to keep their jobs.
  7. This day and age, you don't draft a guy as being a project, 16th overall. Guys drafted in the 1st round should be able to come in and help the team immediately. "Projects" should be drafted in the middle rounds, not 1st round.
  8. It's a different age, they need to come out and be NFL ready today. Especially with the amount of pro style offenses colleges are running, there really isn't an excuse to not be or almost be NFL ready nowadays. IMO I don't think EJ is close to NFL ready.
  9. I don't think it was a concern of his as EJ is/was the man in his eyes. I think they put all their eggs in EJs basket, and have been utterly shocked at how bad he has been, hence his comments about a QB. I have to believe Marrone is smart enough to know that if EJ fails he gets fired so he is going to do what he needs to do in order to keep his job. If that means replacing EJ, so be it. We shall see!
  10. Yep! couldn't agree more!
  11. I disagree, he speaks the truth.
  12. I think this is the answer.
  13. and EJ has sucked even harder in ALL 4 preseason games so far.
  14. So you're saying Nassib would do worse than EJ is? I disagree with that.
  15. I wished the Bills would have drafted him. Spiller for Nassib is too much. Maybe Bryce Brown and a receiver would work.
  16. Don't know if it has already been posted, but interesting. http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2014/08/21/three-bids-for-buffalo-bills-are-each-below-900-million/?partner=yahootix
  17. How long before the Bills trade a 2nd rounder to the Giants for Nassib? They know they won't have to lessen the playbook. IMO, they should have drafted Nassib to begin with.
  18. yeah, but how does Tebow compare to Chuck Norris?
  19. I now right, yet Brady still managed 4300+ yards and 25 TDs and not close to a thousand yard rusher and went 12-4.
  20. T Pegs is a Pennsylvania guy and his wife is a Fairport lady.
  21. For whatever reason it seems CJ gets brought down to the ground very easy. It seems like he never sheds tacklers or breaks tackles. IDK, just frustrating.
  22. I know right, how many years before EJ approaches those "lofty" numbers? Oh yeah, with a much superior WR corps too boot! IMHO, never, I don't think EJ is going to be the answer.
  23. If Duke wins out it'll be 4 Williams on starting defense.
