If you were to know everything about x's and o's as you profess, then you most certainly would have known it is "I" formation instead of "eye" formation regardless if it was late at night, early in the morning, hungover, stuck in an airport, have a screaming kid next to you or whatever. Just sayin'.

This, plus the rumblings that C Kelly does not seem overly confident with N Foles is why I think Foles can be had for a decent price. But I would take Big Ben in a heartbeat over Foles.

It should have. If the nose of the ball had crossed the goal line and did not pop out of his hand when he hit the ground, the refs would have looked at it as he was down by contact at the 1/2 yard line or where the ball was when his elbow/knee/chest hit the ground to make him down.

I'd prefer they somehow get Nick Foles away from the Eagles.

So Schwartz inherited Ryan's defense from Pettine and made them better. I wonder if Rex may be impressed by that and work good with Schwartz to make this defense even better. At the very least I could imagine Rex picking Schwartz's brain and find out the things Schwartz did different. Hopefully Rex can think the defense is in great hands and focus more time elsewhere and leave the defense alone.

And Jackson has HC experience. I'd be ok with that also. All i'm saying is I think this team right now, needs an experienced coach, not a would be rookie HC. If the Bills were in some sort of rebuild mode, kinda like when DM was hired, then sure interview everybody and find the best man for the job, OC, DC, college coach, or whoever. This team is built to win now, next year, they are primed to win 10+ games even with it's offensive struggles. Fill just a couple of offensive holes(QB being the huge hole) and this is a formidable playoff bound team.

In the end I suspect it will be somewhere north of 20 interviews. Who would you prefer? An inexperienced never been a head coach in the NFL or somebody with a proven NFL track record? I'll take the experienced guy for this team as I think that resume better fits now. Therefor that would eliminate inexperienced candidates and make for less interviews.

I don't think they are waiting for anything, I think they are inept. Why interview 20/30 people? It's a waste of everybody's time. This isn't a rebuild job, it's a team on the cusp of winning. That said I don't think you want an inexperienced, would be first time head coach coming in here and learning on the job. This position right now needs an experienced coach to come in and hit the ground running, like a Rex Ryan. Target 5 maybe 10 guys like that and hire somebody, this interviewing of 20/30 guys is a waste IMO. He who hesitates is lost.

Or maybe Marrone seen the same thing, a stacked defense and special teams. That's why he made the switch at QB.

As Beerball said, he retires the day after the season ends, the coach quits 2 days after that and the old guard Polian says, thanks but no thanks a day after that and says the owner was going behind Brandons back. Sounds to me like there is something effed up going on within 1 Bills Dr.
