I am cautiously optimistic about this kid like you. I think he has enough years under his belt riding the pine to be mature enough to start. I think he has the talent, and the moxie. I believe this because of his playoff performance against the steelers. However, he is an unknown quantity. That is why i am CAUTIOUSLY optimistic.
As for the above quote, all I can say is that is what they said about Tyrod...
Eagles ran a faux final walkthrough at the stadium, all fake plays. Then they ran their "real" walkthrough in the hotel conference room. Bellicheat and Ernie Adams were ill prepared as they were thrown off by the bogus Intel gathered by the Eagles trickery. Hopefully McCoach takes something from this...
Not the final walkthrough right before the game. That is a big part of spygate, they taped it and then they knew all the first half plays on offense, and all the formations and disguised blitzes on defense.
I think the fake walkthrough puts to rest once and for all whether the Patricheats are still cheating or not. Otherwise, why would Philly put in the effort to do it?
Not to split hairs, but wiki says Rogers 6ft2, Mayfield 6ft1, although the combine measured him 6 ft 3/8 inches
It's all relative though, this height thing going on with mayfield is absolutely ridiculous
Hmm interesting.
I just think the height thing is drastically overblown. He is arguably the most accurate passer in this draft, has the most competitive drive and has won big games against some of the best competition in the NCAA. Not to mention he thrives off of rivalry.
He WILL mature. He responds to coaching. I think Mc Coach can do wonders with him.
I hope this is correct, the Post usually has good insider info on the Jersey Giants & Jets...

He was high on bath salts and had a flashback to Mc Coach's pre game motivational speech in the locker room vs the chiefs.
Well, now we know players will run through walls for him!?
