Next year we can draft a super good edge rusher and avoid the high price tag and baggage that comes with dealing with chucky.

I was stationed at FOB Kalsu, about 10 miles south of Baghdad on MSR Tampa patrolling from checkpoint 16 up to and as far as checkpoint 22, depending on the time in my tour and insurgent activity. Yes i know full well they were funding the insurgency. I was there in 2004-2006 when they introduced the shaped charges, which forced us to upgrade our armor and when they gave the insurgents higher caliber sniper rifles, which forced us to go from level 3 plates to level 4. Hell, my platoon even engaged and captured almost 15 iranian sf operators (Quds Force, on interpol blacklist my XO verified with MI) in one confrontation. However, that was in the past. This isnt the 20th century. Iran's military is only part of the puzzle, you are missing the elephant in the room. Iran is the worlds premier state sponsor of terror. Even if we completely wipe out their entire conventional military, the Quds force has sleeper cells all over the globe they can activate and wreak all holy hell on our soft targets back home, and then we will have to retaliate, and on and on and on. And all this for what? What is the real reason for all this nonsense? Tell me, what would we really gain by attacking Iran other than some cool geeky hypotheticals from some deep state thunk tanks in D.C?

So we basically did the same job (once deployed). I am just saying i dont know a single guy who is not a pog who is cheering the prospect of WW3 with smiley face emojis. And yes, that is what will happen if we initiate a full scale war and invasion with Iran, anyone with any level of study in military history and current foreign affairs would know that. I love the onion I was about to post the same thoughts, I agree with you 100%. I cannot stand his politics, but he did serve his country and deserves to be honored for it. His time in Senate (especially recently), not so much.
