  1. If they were willing to talk trade it would be a first and a second ... if we were lucky.
  2. I remember all the wild places I watched games. First super bowl against Dallas in gtmo, the next cutting lines in the Florida straits. I watched the big comeback against Houston in a navy em club and was so drunk at half time, getting ridiculed for my bills gear that I barely recall the second half, just remember that I was able to get all the squids to start cheering for the bills in the second half. I don't remember anything after they completed the comeback but some of my new friends got me back to the ship thank goodness, I had just reported aboard the three days after Christmas. (Hmm, not sure why the quote swapped but this was meant to quote the Saudi Arabia viewer. Guess I am too old to use technology well.)
  3. I always pull for them to win but I will admit that if we are already out of contention the loss doesn't sting as much.
  4. Well that may be the Jersey I buy next year... too cynical to buy any QB Jersey.
  5. I am all in on Murphy being a fan favorite. What number will he wear?
  6. Thank you for the review, I enjoyed it and agree. Things are looking up. I spoke to the only other bills fan in my bowling league this evening and we are both excited about where the team is headed. On a purely personal level, as a Louisville cardinal fan I would love the excitement Lamar Jackson brings but I ask past second guessing these guys, I have faith they can make the right decisions and recognize they know more than I do.
  7. Hard to argue the value of this contract, it is far better than I expected and there is upside with this signing.
  8. They cited interview and combine prep primarily.
  9. Story locally here in Kentucky the last couple days is Jackson has not hired an agent, reason stated he is having trouble finding someone he trusts. Good he wants to find responsible representation since so many athletes manage money poorly but it is getting late in the process and one draft "expert" says it could cause him to drop. Take that for what it is worth, we all know how local sports radio can be.
  10. I found this a fun thread and it quickly went down hill. Guess some folks just like to be miserable, I have an aunt like that, never happy unless she has something to complain about.
  11. Very cool, and yes glad he is sporting bills apparel. Both of them!
  12. I had been ambivalent about him before, respected his talent but that note to the fan base got me. Here is to three more years of him as our face and a run the playoffs.
  13. Certainty of the tackle beats intensity of the tackle, especially in that situation.
  14. Awesome to see the team that pumped up. I hope they ride this wave to a victory next week and another shot at the Patriots.
  15. If he CONTRIBUTES to a win, I agree someone will pay him.
  16. It was awesome and for a time I was worried that was going to be the final moment for him... now he has next week to top it!
  17. Lowest remaining seed goes to highest seed remaining thorughout the playoffs so to Foxboro for us when we beat Bortles.
  18. I was dog sitting, my brother may not get his dog back.
  19. I was stationed there twenty years ago. Loved the area. My best friend ran the only sports bar in Eureka but I am sure it is gone now. He was a raiders fan but always tried to get the bills game for me. Would let me in early since the games started at ten and his wife would make biscuits and gravy. Good times.
  20. I figure the Steelers end up with home field and the patriots would have to travel in the conference championship game and somehow the bad Steelers show up and lose the divisional round and hand home field back to the pats. Must be my cynicism coming through but so many years of the patriots seeming to find ponies in huge piles of manure will do that to you.
  21. Living here in Kentucky I have seen a lot of Jackson. His OL is bad, running game is average to below average and somehow he still is able to get the job done. Without him Louisville wins maybe five games each of the last two years. The one thing I have seen that concerns me is his balls will sometimes sail on him, my thought being he is too excited but that is a short term concern. I would love to pick him up with our first pick but I think once scouts talk to him and see him throw without having to run for his life he will move up boards and be gone top ten.
  22. Six days to the first game I think he means, we get to wait a few more.
  23. Phil Hansen and Don Beebe for me. Oh and almost forgot Kelso, loved the way he played.
  24. I would love Cole Hikutini from Louisville in the sixth if we haven't taken one and he is still there.
