  1. Story locally here in Kentucky the last couple days is Jackson has not hired an agent, reason stated he is having trouble finding someone he trusts. Good he wants to find responsible representation since so many athletes manage money poorly but it is getting late in the process and one draft "expert" says it could cause him to drop. Take that for what it is worth, we all know how local sports radio can be.
  2. I found this a fun thread and it quickly went down hill. Guess some folks just like to be miserable, I have an aunt like that, never happy unless she has something to complain about.
  3. Very cool, and yes glad he is sporting bills apparel. Both of them!
  4. I had been ambivalent about him before, respected his talent but that note to the fan base got me. Here is to three more years of him as our face and a run the playoffs.
  5. Certainty of the tackle beats intensity of the tackle, especially in that situation.
  6. Awesome to see the team that pumped up. I hope they ride this wave to a victory next week and another shot at the Patriots.
  7. If he CONTRIBUTES to a win, I agree someone will pay him.
  8. It was awesome and for a time I was worried that was going to be the final moment for him... now he has next week to top it!
  9. Lowest remaining seed goes to highest seed remaining thorughout the playoffs so to Foxboro for us when we beat Bortles.
  10. I was dog sitting, my brother may not get his dog back.
  11. I was stationed there twenty years ago. Loved the area. My best friend ran the only sports bar in Eureka but I am sure it is gone now. He was a raiders fan but always tried to get the bills game for me. Would let me in early since the games started at ten and his wife would make biscuits and gravy. Good times.
  12. I figure the Steelers end up with home field and the patriots would have to travel in the conference championship game and somehow the bad Steelers show up and lose the divisional round and hand home field back to the pats. Must be my cynicism coming through but so many years of the patriots seeming to find ponies in huge piles of manure will do that to you.
  13. Living here in Kentucky I have seen a lot of Jackson. His OL is bad, running game is average to below average and somehow he still is able to get the job done. Without him Louisville wins maybe five games each of the last two years. The one thing I have seen that concerns me is his balls will sometimes sail on him, my thought being he is too excited but that is a short term concern. I would love to pick him up with our first pick but I think once scouts talk to him and see him throw without having to run for his life he will move up boards and be gone top ten.
  14. Six days to the first game I think he means, we get to wait a few more.
  15. Phil Hansen and Don Beebe for me. Oh and almost forgot Kelso, loved the way he played.
  16. I would love Cole Hikutini from Louisville in the sixth if we haven't taken one and he is still there.
  17. Go Bucs! I am awfully good at this after I missed in week three of my own eliminator challenge.
  18. Bad year to have the first pick I agree but a GREAT year to trade it away and build picks an organization so sorely lacking in talent needs. IF they can find a buyer and IF they are smart and gutsy enough (you know the fans will be screaming for one player or another at #1) they could do very well out of this, as you put it, tank,
  19. Tampa Bay is getting healthy, Winston is practicing, Evans cleared protocol and even Doug Martin made an appearance in practice. It may be that I just can't imagine a second good game from Cutler and Bears backup offensive linemen but I think Tampa wins this one.
  20. I've always thought if full time, they would have debrief film sessions after every game of their game and then a highlight of all games, especially where mistakes were made. I mean 12-14 hours of film review every week and as full time employees you could do that and I think it would go a long way to standardizing penalty calls across the league if they saw what was done well and done poorly over and over.
  21. I agree. I have told my friends that if i was starting a team and could draft any player in history to play for me, after QB, the first player I would take is Anthony Munoz because I would not have to worry about LT again for 15 years.
  22. No doubt he could have summed it up perfectly to all the other Cub fans: "Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?"
  23. That was frickin' surreal. Without a doubt one of the most memorable games I have watched.
  24. It has been a long time since I was stationed there but the best place to watch sports was the Stick and Stein pool hall/sports bar. It was away from the strip and more regularly frequented by locals. I remember watching Elway win a Super Bowl there. No idea if it is still open or has changed names so really not much help.
