Can't expect a team like AZ to roll over. This will be interesting to see how they respond. -

What is the biggest question mark going into Game One
JohnnyBuffalo replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am going to go with offensive production/consistency. I think there are too many obvious things about the defense that will allow for us to say "yeah well that happened because of...." My question is are they as good as they appear to be on paper? Can they control the ball enough to allow the defense to have enough gas at the end of the game to keep it close? Fast strikes and home run balls are fun...but can they put sustained drives together and score touchdowns with consistency? Of course I could have said "the whole darn thing is a big ?" Go Bills!!! -

I am absolutely furious! Here is why: COACHING MISTAKES....15 yards on Rex again...guys not on the field in crucial situations....punting on 4th down....mind numbingly repetitive play calling ....3rd and short late game play call (this one sealed the night for me)....defensive scheme at the end of the 1st half (rush 3?).....not being prepared to have the headsets go out ...it's NE...it's going to happen get ready for IT! Players not recognizing key situations in the game....pretty much any punt or kickoff return is crucial...secure the ball before looking for the big time return (This could fall on the coaches as well)....Getting to the first down chain before dancing for yardage....HOGAN! He also was almost decapitated by this idiotic move....Manny Lawson taking a play off when the Pats were pinned deep and they decided to run the ball (watch the replay WOW)....I get that these are just guys playing a game but it is frustrating when you don't see the competition making these mistakes in key parts of their game. The Pats were vulnerable and they blew the chance. Yes it was a good D scheme for most of the game but once again they laid down when it mattered. Giving up points before the half when you aren't receiving the 2nd half kickoff is a cardinal sin in this game. It's a turnover...you give them 2 possessions to your one....brutal. So yeah I am pissed. If you have given up and don't care....maybe you could get a spot on their special teams coaching staff. Need a win against KC. Go Buffalo

I always liked Fitzy! He was a man among men..,played hurt and played with grit. He should still be a Buffalo Bill if for no other reason than he is smart and has character. For Rex to make fun of a guy like that pissed me off a bit. If he had more guys that played as hard as Fitz and the same character he may have a better record. Don't get me wrong I think Tyrod could be that same type of guy with a lot more talent....but we shall see. Go Buffalo!!!

What is happening on Defense?
JohnnyBuffalo replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems pretty simple to me....4 guys up front are expected to get pressure...they aren't. They are getting blocked. Today was awful. Dropping 7 only works if they force the ball out of the QB's hands...these million dollar men up front didn't get it done. Been a few games like that. -
That was one of the most frustrating things to watch today. Watching A wide open guy roll his own ankle. Maybe it was already sore after having to pull it out of his mouth this week. 10 times a game...kinda helps if you play the whole game bro! His rant this week reminds me of his premature celebration last year....too soon to do either.

My family's thoughts and prayers are with you! Get well soon.

Source: EJ Manuel to start Sunday for Tyrod Taylor
JohnnyBuffalo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I apologize if this is redundant to another post as I haven't read through them all....start EJ. I find it hard to believe that a less mobile TT is better than the alternative. Hey EJ did win some games. I think having a QB that might be able to run a more robust number of plays (roll out or heaven forbid a QB draw) would be better. Not to mention the mental hesitation a guy has to have playing banged up. EJ is going to have to put it all out there and play with such tenacity that I think would prefer that despite talent edge to TT. Either way the D has to show up like they did last week. Like some posts it may not matter what's on offense this week if the D gives up long drives again resulting in TD's. Go Buffalo! -
Hard Knocks. Houston Texans
JohnnyBuffalo replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone like this....At or around 48 minute mark of the episode during the preseason game Ryan Mallett is called for off sides for his hard count. the following comments made me chuckle and then sort of get pissed off.... O'brien to Mallett "Only 2 quarterbacks in the league that can do that" Mallett to the ref "HA HA I been watchin Brady man...sh!t that's what he does every time" Anyway I digress. -

Fitzy broken leg today
JohnnyBuffalo replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the replay showed Fitz trying to stand up after that bs trip. He's tough as nails and I feel bad for him. Heck I might go as far to say I would take him over Orton....broken leg or no!
