Whats the worst car problem you ever had
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Top This: A few years ago, I went camping in Texas Hill Country with my cousin and uncle. We were on this gigantic ranch. After my uncle went to bed, My cousin and I decided to drive around the property. We found a lake, and drove right up to the lake. The ground we drove on, was really dry... until about 6 inches deep. The truck got stuck in what was essentially quicksand. My uncle left his phone in his truck to charge, so he didn't hear our calls. We spent the night in the car, and he finally called us back the next morning. My tried pulling us out with a rope, nothing. We decided to try jacking the truck up to make it easier to pull, nothing. So we decided to go back to camp, get some food and water in us, then go back and try, or call a tow truck at least. We all jump up in the truck, and drive off. A mile down the road, just as luck would have it, we run over a sharp rock and get a flat tire. No biggie, we'll just put the spare on. Except the fact that the only jack we had, was in the only other vehicle we had, two miles back at the lake. About 20 oz of luke warm water between the three of us. So we had to hike two and a half miles each way, through giant hills, in the Texas heat. Got the jack, just to find out the last time my uncle had the tires rotated, the people at the dealership put the lugnuts on too tight that none of us could get them off with a regular lug wrench. Including my offensive lineman cousin. So we drove back on unpaved roads to camp, and had to get a two for one special from the tow truck driver. Ended up just staying an extra night. -
Which away game are you traveling to this year? Friend of mine just bought a pair for the game in Houston as an early wedding gift.

NFL Logos ranked worst to first

Penn State hid a major scandal for over thirty years. Do you think The Browns really have that kind of competency? -

NFL Logos ranked worst to first

Hey now! The Browns have improved a lot this offseason. I could see them getting 1 or 2 wins. Maybe even three, but I don't want to get carried away now. -

I may be in the minority here, but I've always loved The Browns' lack of an "real" logo. -

Thanks. My mom has been with the same guy since I was 12. They've lived together for over ten years. Much easier to call him my stepfather. -

Rex Ryan is a football genius. That being said, the day he was hired I said he would be successful if 1) He didn't let his ego get in the way, and try to revamp the defense. Keep it exactly as Schwarz left it. and B) He had any sense of discipline. I always thought Rex seemed to be a "likable" guy. But he seemed to care more about being his players friend than their coach/boss. I feel like Marrone was too much of a hardass, and they over-corrected it with Rex. McD seems to have the perfect balance of discipline, while still maintaining respect for his players and not being a dictator. -

I think I'd switch Nix and Whaley, but yeah. -
Canisius in college baseball postseason tournament?
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to BobbyC81's topic in Off the Wall Archives
UB lost their baseball program. And from what I recall, Canisius was on the cusp of making the playoffs a year or two ago, but got screwed somehow. -
Tom Donahoe Marv Levy Russ Brandon Buddy Nix Doug Whaley Rank 'Em. Strictly by their job as GM. Forget your feelings about Marv as a coach, or Russ' marketing skills or any of his alleged misconduct.

Also, looking for a PS4 game that has car racing. But I'm not into cars, as odd as that sounds. So I'm looking for one that's strictly racing, and half the game isn't building up the car.

Are you trying to insult me? You're like @DC Tom minus the charm. -
Rob Johnson Alex Van Pelt Drew Bledsoe JP Losman Kelly Holcomb Trent Edwards Ryan Fitzpatrick EJ Manuel Kyle Orton Tyrod Taylor Left out those who were never considered anything but backups filling in for injuries (Lewis, Tuel, etc.) and of course Cassel technically starting the first game. Rank Em.

My father in law swears by Premium Saltine Crackers. Nothing else will do. Bought some store brand once, and gave him a blind taste test. Figured it out instantly. -

I buy mostly store brand products. What products do you have to have name brand on, that you won't skimp for store brand. Conversley, any store brands where you actually prefer the knockoff over the "real thing?" I have to have name brand Cola. Prefer Coke, but Pepsi will do. Haven't found a store brand cola that's any good. Boxed Mac and Cheese. Has to be Kraft. Perfect amount of cheese flavor. Anything else is too much cheese, or not enough. HEB, a Texas supermarket chain, has their own line of salsa that is worlds better than any brand I've ever actually heard of. Wegman's, Diet Wedge (Squirt knockoff), tastes better than the real thin.

Texas is known for their Blue Bell. I think Blue Bell is good, but honestly don't get the hype. It's good, but a bit overpriced. I prefer HEB store brand. Recently went to a place called Sub Zero. They basically make the ice cream right in front of you. Mix in the cream, flavoring, etc, then spray liquid nitrogen on it to instantly freeze it.

Yes. Also, ask her if it's "that time of the month again." She may realize that she's just being hormonal.
