Say what you want about Jay Leno, I can honestly say that just by hearing his jokes, you could never tell his political affiliation. If a Democrat needed lampooning, he did it. If a Republican needed lampooning, he did it. When he had a political guest on his show, and I've seen him have Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh (the worst of both sides) on in the same week and treated them with the utmost respect. Carson of course was the same way. I was a fan of Conan in his 12:30 ET show. Then he took over the Tonight show, and was a bit more "mainstream." Then after the whole Leno/Conan feud happened, he gained this semi ironic "Team Coco" following, and his TBS show isn't terrible, but it's not the same weird outlandish humor he had when he started.

Earliest TV shows/specials you remember watching
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I also remember waking up some mornings and the Flintstones were on the Spanish channel. Had no idea what they were saying, but I watched anyway. My dad tells me that was the worst weekend of his life because nothing was on TV. -
Yeah. In Long Haired Country boy he "Gets up in the morning, and gets down in the afternoon." He also ends with "I don't want much of nothing at all, but I will tell another joke." Song still sounds just fine though. Replaces a few hells with heck, damn for darn/dang, etc. And "In America" when he sings live he sings, "Just go and lay your hand on a [local team] fan." So if you still live in Bills territory, you'll hear it correctly.

Earliest TV shows/specials you remember watching

Watched Bonanza reruns with my dad. I remember having one TV, and my parents were obsessed with OJ. Had no idea who OJ was, but hated him because whenever he was on TV, I couldn't watch anything. -
@Boyst62 is right. Willie can't sing anymore. He literally just speaks the lyrics, but plays guitar as well as he ever did. He didn't play "Always on my Mind" "On the Road Again" or "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain." Relied a lot on the "now you sing it" gimick. But the dude's a legend, and I totally understand the bucket list thing. I'm glad I saw him three years ago though. Played for about 2 hours or so, and sounded about as good as he ever did. Sturgil was good, but like you said, mostly new rock stuff, which I don't hate, but I'm a much bigger fan of his first two albums. Ryan Bingham (not sure if he's on your leg) was someone I've never heard of before but really enjoyed. I saw Charlie about 10 years ago. He still sounds good. But left the stage like three times for songs band members wrote, and a drum solo, which wasn't what I payed to see. Also, sings about two or three gospel songs, and didn't play Uneasy Rider. Still a hell of a fiddle player though. Never Seen Hank Jr, but heard its hit or miss depending how much he's had to drink before the show. Also, If you haven't already, check out Cody Jinks. Dude's one of the few good ones left.

Judgement Free Zone-Planet Fitness
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to JoeF's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There's a reason I work out at 24 Hour Fitness. It's worth it. But I also like to use the pool. Granted my work's health program reimburses me up to $30 a month for a gym membership, so price isn't really an issues for me. #Rich -

Then why are you commenting? -
Going to see Queen Extravaganza in October. They're a Queen tribute, but were put together by Brian May and Roger Taylor. August 9th going to a concert of a Pink Floyd tribute playing The Wall in it's entirety. Keifer Sutherland band is putting on a free concert. No idea if they're any good, but I love 24 and the price is right. "Almost Elton John" in late August. The actual Elton John is coming in December, but barring a miracle, I'm not gonna get tickets since they're like $300 a pop for the nosebleeds. Charlie Daniels is in town in November, but it's on my wedding day. So if someone in Houston wants to go in my place let me know. Her name is Britt, and she's a lovely gal.

Age difference with your SO?
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm 28, she's 23. Weird to think that she was six when 9/11 happened. Wasn't even born when I was going in to Kindergarten. Was in 7th grade when I graduated High School. -

Drought Wall of Famers
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a Reason I specified this. I love Kyle Williams and think he deserves to be on the wall. But last year was far from his best year. It was his time with the team during the drought that earned him a spot on the wall. -

Because they used a standard cliche press release about re-signing a player? Grasping for straws there, doncha think? -
I changed my mind: OJ didn’t do it
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone that wanted to frame OJ. -
I was purposely quite liberal with the names I put on the list. But what players that played most/all of their career in the drought, if any, belong on the Wall of Fame?

I changed my mind: OJ didn’t do it
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this The more I think about it, the more I realize this interview does nothing to prove his guilt. Nobody is making the argument that he's a good guy. At best, he's just a domestic abuser who might not have killed he's wife. Not saying he's innocent, but we all know OJ was an attention whore. So let's say, hypothetically, OJ didn't do it, and he's completely innocent. But, because of the stigma behind what he's accused of doing, he's not a commentator anymore, no more movies, endorsement deals, etc. OJ, who's a fairly decent actor, and is known for his charisma, is no longer in the spotlight. Even if he didn't do it, he's definitely a man with a lot of issues. So, OJ, even though innocent for arguments sake, is approached by someone, asking him to write (probably mostly a ghost writer in any sense) a book, and do an interview about "if he did it." Seeing this as a way to get back in the spotlight, does the interview, and writes the book, all as a desperate attempt to get back in the public eye. Now again, I'm not saying he didn't do it, but would you put it past OJ to do this, even if he truly is completely innocent? -

LeSean McCoy allegations

This may have already been brought up. I haven't been on here in three days, so I'm about 40 pages behind. Any chance Richie organized it "on Shady's behalf," without Shady's actual knowledge? He probably has just as many connections around the country, and has the sanity (or lack thereof) to do such a thing. -
I was reading a story about an elementary school choir that did a Billy Joel tribute. He showed up, sat in the back, and went backstage after the show to congratulate them. Didn't tell them he was there because he didn't want to make the kids nervous.

LeSean McCoy allegations

Correct me if I'm wrong (literally, I admit I might be completely incorrect), but isn't a squatter someone who was never allowed to live in the residence to begin with. Like they just found an abandoned home one day, and just made themselves at home. -
Carbonated Beverages
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This actually happened to me. When I first moved here. My cousin; "Hey Joe. Grab me a Coke out that cooler over there." Me: "There's no coke in that cooler." Cousin: Are you sure? I just filled it up. Me: Yeah. There's Mountain Dew, Sprite, Orange. But no Coke Cousin: Then hand me a sprite jackass. Those are all Cokes. Then he explained the differences. -
