  1. We had an absolutely rude, inattentive, and uncaring waitress once. Finally, a waitress who wasn't even assigned to our section appologized profusley on our waitresses behalf and took care of us. So we made sure that the tip went to her, and not the one who was allegedly our waitress.
  2. For me, I'd say its a fair mix of British and American. I've been going through a country phase, so lately it's been mostly American. What I find interesting, is blues and rock and roll are American art forms. But I find that the British have much more respect for them that we do.
  3. Oh I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about the actual GD. Lol.
  4. I've only intentionally not left a tip a handful of times, but it has happened. It takes a lot to get me to that point. I'm understanding if I can tell a waitress is new. I'm also a picky eater, so I remain level headed if someone gets my order wrong. It usually takes an attitude of not giving a ****. A mistake is understandable, but how you react to such a mistake can really set me off.
  5. Yeah. Like I said earlier, I was glad he came out, and I that I was able to see him. Not sure I'd go again unless the other acts on the ticket were worth it.
  6. That's awesome. I tried to get Willie's autograph once. Showed up to the venue like four hours before the doors opened. I'd gotten autographs there previously from Chuck Berry, REO Speedwagon, and Creedence Clearwater Revisited (Original Bassist and Drummer. Not quite the original act, but more than just a tribute band.) But security wouldn't let me anywhere near Willie's bus. This was like two months after some podunk cops decided to raid his bust and, surprise, Willie Nelson's bus had marijuana on it.
  7. Wasn't that the Red Wings baseball stadium? I'm surprised they'd play somewhere so small. Also, is there any truth to the rumor I heard that they didn't play Truckin' in any of the cities mentioned in the song because the crowd cheering for their city mid song would ruin the tone of the show?
  8. Question. Before attending a concert, do you look up what the setlist has been like for that tour, or do you like to be surprised?
  9. *Meadcoin™ only redeemable for bottle of wine, to be sent directly to home of Mead107.
  10. Under/over on 30 posts before someone says something that gets this moved to PPP?
  11. Guess I didn't read it. What does that make me?
  12. @DC Tom hasn't even called me an idiot yet. Do I still qualify if I send you the money.
  13. Actually, about three months ago I went to see a local Pink Floyd Tribute Band, who played all of Dark Side. They were good. I even got my first writing piece to be officially published out of it Then a week later I got free tickets to a different Floyd tribute, who did all of Wish You were Here. The one I'm seeing a week from today is a group called Classic Albums Live. They tour the country, and do a different full album, and usually a few greatest hits, of different artists. The Wall should be great, doubt they'll do much if anything else after being that it's such a long album. If I had to rank my top 5 country artists it'd be Waylon Willie Hank Sr Cash Charlie Daniels For my birthday in June my fiance got me a Johnny Cash hat, a Waylon Jennings car decal, a shirt that says "Waylon, Willie, Merle, Hank, Johnny" and a Willie Nelson ticket. Best gift I've gotten in a long time.
  14. Been going through a huge Waylon phase lately. Just found out that his original touring band is still together. Sometimes they tour with Shooter (who's good, but absolutely nothing like his dad), or Jessie and a Waylon impersonator. Of course there's only one Waylon, but if they ever come near me, it'll be the closest I'll get in this lifetime. Also, saw a Floyd tribute a few weeks ago that started their show playing Dark Side in it's entirety. Going to see another one next week that's doing The Wall.
  15. Switch 1 with 3. But yeah, no matter how you rank em, their first four are easily their best.
  16. I was really into golf for the summers after seventh and eighth grade.
  17. Probably their last great album before they started phoning it in, from the studio at least. Far Away Eyes is probably one of my favorite country songs ever. Probably my favorite Stones song.
  18. This reminds of the time I was working in a call center in Texas. I was training some newbies, and they were listening to my call. When we thought the call was over, they asked "You're from New York, are you a Jets fan?" "I'm a Bills fan. F*** the Jets." Then heard "Hello?" on the other end. I didn't get in any documented trouble, but got a stern talking to.
  19. I was gonna say, that doesn't seem like a concert that would be up your ally.
  20. Elementary School I went through an Elvis phase. Middle School I went through a Beatles, and then Weird Al Yankovic phase (met him). High School went through a Lynyrd Skynyrd phase. When I graduated high school, I started learning guitar and went through a blues and early rock and roll (Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, etc. Even got to meet my hero Chuck Berry.) Lately I've been going through a country phase. Mostly older stuff Waylon, Willie, and the boys. But some of the newer non mainstream stuff. Used to think country music was dead. It isn't dead, but most of the good stuff isn't on the radio. Not to get all PPP, but I went though a hardcore Republican phase from junior year of high school (2006), up until around the Romney vs Obama election.
  21. What are your top 5 favorite albums of all time, in any genre? (In no particular order) Abbey Road Back in Black Ol' Waylon Live Bullet Led Zeppelin II
  22. This is an a-hole move. I'd rather champion the 1st round QB that was drafted by the bills and !@#$ed us over and played in another damn league instead of playing for us.
  23. The writing staff is like an all star line up of comedy. Steve Carell, Colbert, Smigel, Louis CK.
