  1. It's all fun and just good discussions. Except when that asshat @BringBackFergy brings up his excuse for a Cricket team!
  2. It's going in the original draft order it seems like, so this year for once, we'll be towards the end.
  3. Doesn't that literally describe every great artist, in every medium, in the history of the world?
  4. I get dogged on a lot because I go see a lot of tribute bands. But with the music I listen to, it's a great option. I listen almost exclusively to stuff from "before my time." So the artists I like are either dead, or retired. If they're still touring, tickets are sometimes $200+ a pop, and a lot of the times, only have one or two original (or at least from the prime) members left in the band. Even when it's an affordable ticket, for a good amount of the real band, they don't sound as good as they once did with age. Tribute bands, if not free, are $10-20 max, and although obviously fake, the real members of the band are represented. It also take a lot more work than people realize. They not only have to sound good, they have to replicate what the original band sound like, and a lot of the time the on stage nuances and mannerisms. Usually they try to replicate the right equipment if they can afford it? Does anybody else enjoy a good tribute band, or are they as cheesy as people say? I've seen a lot of good ones, and not so great ones. AC/DC 2 Allman Brothers 1 Beatles 4 Billy Joel 1 Bon Jovi 1 Def Leppard 1 Doors 2 Eagles 1 Elton John 1 Guns N Roses 1 Iron Maiden 1 Johnny Cash 1 Journey 2 KISS 3 Led Zeppelin 4 Metallica 2 Ozzy/Sabbath 1 Pink Floyd 3 Rolling Stones 1 Rush 1 Stevie Ray Vaughn 1 Thin Lizzy 1 Tom Petty 1 Van Halen 1 Band being honored, and number of different bands Tributes I've seen of them.
  5. Everything I've read about Beatles songs with drug references, seem to be wrong. The songs the public guessed were drug references The LSD "Lucy Sky Diamonds" thing, seem to be false. Although the song writing definitely seems to have been influenced by it, not written directly about the drug. Everybody involved to this day holds to the story that it's Julian's drawing of his friend Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. On the contrary, a song like "Got To Get You Into My Life" which sounds like an innocent enough song about love for a woman, Paul has said is literally a love song to marijuana.
  6. Of course each player's desires are gonna be different. But assuming they wanted to stay in the game, generally speaking, which do you feel would be best? For arguments sake, all compensation is relatively the same.
  7. Oh yeah. With everything that's gone on with him lately, I don't think so. Whether the allegations, or his turn around were true or not, he's already got a reputation as a racist around the leauge, amongst players/fans/etc. I don't think that could have made it any worse.
  8. At least the straws are gone.
  9. Hopefully some sort of plea deal can be reached where he can avoid jail time if he gets the help he needs. But even then, it isn't gonna work if he doesn't want it.
  10. I laughed way harder than I should have. Losing him and Steve has been hard, and laughing through the pain helps I guess.
  11. Would you really need to even ask that question with him?
  12. Maybe I'm over analizing this, but why is "my family" in quotes?
  13. I'm sure once charges are dropped, or he's found not guilty. Which with the money he has, he can probably make that happen. Or at the very least, can go out and buy another one.
  14. Oh yeah? Well if Brady* is so much better than Kelly, why is his winning percentage AFC West teams playing in stadiums where the endzones go East-West on days that are between 57-66° degrees only .697 when Kelly's is .726?
  15. Any thread that starts with "My cousin thinks..." is bound to be glorious.
  16. Still doing better than the Bengals by five years.
  17. We still have a playoff win drought. We still have a playoff TD drought. But the "Playoff drought" refers to our lack of appearances in playoff games.
  18. I always got my golf clubs from a used sports store. Got one that wasn't top of the line, but did the trick, for about $100.
  19. How can you tell? It still tastes like Bud Light.
  20. I worked in a call center and the girl next to me didn't know how to use copy and paste. She just slowly and carefully typed 16-20 digit account numbers into the chat thread for (usually stupid) questions.
  21. My stepdad mother called my mother and told her that her car wouldn't start. My mom was busy, and told her to call AAA if she had a membership. About 20 minutes later she calls back and says she can't find "Triple A" in the phonebook anywhere.
  22. My fiance loves her. I don't like her early stuff. But lately she's been branching out and recording more jazzy type stuff that I've enjoyed.
