Are the Bills the Ronald Wayne of the NFL?
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Okay, but what if Ronald Wayne had taken that $800 and invested it in Amazon or something else. I'm not saying that Josh Allen is necessarily the Amazon to Mahomes Apple. But it's too early to tell. Mahomes isn't a rookie, he's in his second year, which is what Allen will be in next year before we can really compare. Mahomes also has a better supporting cast around him than Allen did in 2018. -
How to split Direct TV to my garage
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to BringBackFergy's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yeah. And it's not like 20 years ago when you could go to a less than reputable dealer and pay him $100 bucks for a jail-broken smart card and get whatever you wanted. -
How to split Direct TV to my garage
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to BringBackFergy's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Not too familiar with DirecTV, but I worked for Dish for five years. The Genie doesn't use any sort of coax to a TV, so there really isn't any way to mirror it. A new mini Genie would be the only way. -
Ya'll Thought My Wedding Was Crazy
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
When I walked into the venue, the first thing they had was a handmade sign that said "She was his Destyni, he was her saving Grace." Right then and there I knew it was gonna be awesome. The venue didn't have ice, and nobody thought about it. So the bride gave me her debit card, and told me to go to the gas station and told me to get "a ***** ton of ice." So I bought ten 20 lb bags of it. The Best man/Groom's brother had a literal mullet, belt buckle the size of a new iPhone, and one of those gigantic Band-Aid's on his face, from some cyst he had to have drained a few days ago. Since my wife was lucky enough to be the Maid of Honor, she got to walk down the aisle with him. His actual date was his girlfriend. She wore a skin tight camouflage dress, with matching stiletto boots. I wanted to take a picture, but I didn't even feel comfortable doing so, since I don't even think she was 18. The DJ I mentioned not having an aux cord, don't worry. He had a CD player. Not a double CD player where he could have the next song cued up. So the bridal party came down the Aisle to the Final Countdown. Then the Bride was supposed to come down to some pop country song. But the DJ played the wrong song, and it took almost two minutes of the wrong song playing for anybody to realize it. So we sat there awkwardly listening to some song, then another two minutes of silence, before the right song started playing. The DJ only brought the CDs specficially requested. So other than the stuff for the ceremony, the couple's first dance, and the mother/son, father/daughter dance, there was no music or dancing. Both the wedding cake, and grooms cake had pick up trucks on it. All the food was made by the family. Which would be fine. Mashed Potatoes, ribs, brisket, chicken, sausage. I love BBQ. The problem is, they didn't have any warming serving trays, so by the time we ate, the food tasted like it was taken straight out of the fridge. The bride was yelling at her husband during the picture taking, which impressed me. They hadn't been married 15 minutes, and already they were fighting. Also, as mentioned before, no alcohol was served. However, if it was, and I decided to take a drink every time I heard a lame joke along the lines of "There's still time to run" or "Is this a wedding or a funeral" etc, I would have died of alcohol poisoning before the wedding started. -
Ya'll Thought My Wedding Was Crazy

I got dragged to the bachlor/bachlorette party last week. It was a combined thing because apparently these two lovebirds don't trust each other enough to have a night out with the guys/girls. The groom's recently paroled, sorry, just probation because he was only in county and it was for less than 60 days, mulleted brother, ordered chicken fingers instead of steak at Texas Roadhouse. When the groom and all of his friends started teasing him for ordering chicken tenders at a steakhouse, again, a fistfight almost ensued. -

Apparently he just decided to opt out completely. -
Let me describe the white trash wedding I get to attend this weekend. I have to drive 90 minutes to my hotel after work tonight. That's still 30 minutes away, but the town the wedding is in has literally zero hotels. For those who know Houston, I'm driving from Clear Lake to Livingston, and going to the wedding in Onalaska. Groom is wearing a cowboy hat, jeans, boots, and lime green button up. There will be no alcohol served due to court orders on the Groom's behalf. One of the groomsmen, who is the groom's cousin, had to drop out because he got into a fistfight with the groom, 10 days after Thanksgiving, about the amount of mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving.

Dallas never stole a football championship from Buffalo. Now, if we're talking about hockey..... -
Best and worst endings for long running series
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Steve O's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I haven't watched the show at all, but I hate it for the simple reason that it brought a resurgence to the popularity of Don't Stop Believing. -
Super Bowl Wish vs. Prediction

I stopped hating the Cowboys a while ago. While it sucks that they beat us, They truly were a better team. They've also been largely irrelevant in the past 20 years. Also doesn't hurt that I won my fantasy league on the heals of Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray. -

Rooting for Colts because of Frank Reich. But I just don't see anybody beating KC in the AFC, or the Saints in the NFC. -
Best and worst endings for long running series
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Steve O's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It wasn't the best ending to a show, but I don't think that it was as bad as people say it was. I thought it was interesting that the last dialogue segment was the same as the first. -
2019 Movies You're Most Excited About?
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Rocketman. Interesting reboot that looks like they took it in a different direction. Instead of being an idiot astronaut, they're making him a flamboyant piano player. Also, instead of the main character being called Fred Z. Randall, they're calling him Elton something. Should be interesting. -

Despite the people that hated it, I really liked the ending of How I Met Your Mother. Granted I called it after the second episode, so maybe I just liked being right. Lol. -
Who are you rooting for in the playoffs from this point forward. Realistically, who do think will win?

TV Shows You Want Rebooted

Dragnet was great on radio. The only problem is, it's hard to find them in good quality. -
Is Rex Ryan done in the NFL ?
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a head coach, I'd say so. He may be a Wade Phillips. Great coordinator, Terrible HC. My biggest issue with Rex wasn't his X's and O's, so much as his lack of discipline. I always felt he tried to be the player's friend as opposed to their coach/boss. That showed in the amount of penalties the Bills had, and the Jets had towards the end of his time there. That said, he's obviously a charismatic guy, and I think will have a successful TV run if he decides to stay there. My brother is a Dolphins fan. He said, enthusiastically and unironically, that he read an internet rumor that they were going after Rex. Made me feel so good about the Bills situation. -
The good thing about it being time travel, is that they can put something in there about going back in time to save the DeLorean. If the makeup team is as good as they were in 85/90 when they made teenage Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, etc, look middle aged, couple it with modern day CGI, it can work really well.

Saturday idea is cool. Trade it out for outdated holidays like President's Day. It's not like the exact date means anything anymore anyway. President's day is a combination of Lincoln, Washington, mostly, along with two other president's who I can't think of right now, who were born in February. So as long as the day is in Feburary anyway, which is when the Super Bowl is played annually now anyway, it would work perfectly.

McBeane Confidence Update
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You haven't been around here much, have you? If anything, this board is way to critical of what/whoever the current regime happens to be. -
Seth McFarlane gained the rights to reboot The Flintstones. I honestly don't see that being successful. half the people would complain that it's too much like the original, and not "edgy" or Seth McFarlaney enough, or vice versa. Personally, I'd like to see a modern Flintstones with at least a PG twist to it. Since it was originally a show aimed at adults to begin with, but the animation naturally drew a younger audience with it.

I ran this poll back in October, with the results posted below. Now that the season has ended, I'm interested to see how answers have changed.
