Out Of Divison Rivals
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Patriots* rivalry never took off, because it seems like we've been on a see-saw since the AFL days. When we're good, they suck, and vice-versa. -

Living in Houston, I've met a lot of Oilers fans still salty about the Comeback. Even if we ignore that they're technically two separate franchises, that's more of a one way thing, as I don't think the Bills or our fans have any reason to have animosity towards Houston. -

I did the mission in Valentine where the guy was at the small tavern, interviewing the drunk retired gunslinger. Went and got all the pictures, information I needed, but don't know where to go with that. Did I miss something about where he said he'd be? He's not at the saloon anymore. -

I keep forgetting this isn't like grand theft auto, where once you die, your warrants and all that go away. I have like $300 worth of bounties, and $60 cash. -

This game will take me a year or two to finish. One, because I don't play video games very often. Two, I have more fun riding around, shooting animals, playing blackjack, and causing havoc than I do the missions. Lol. -

Fixed. -
Outside of the obvious ones in our division, what other teams would you consider to be rivals? For me personally: Jacksonville. Marrone, Dareus, Ramsey talking crap about Allen and of course knocking us out of the playoffs. I'm sure the fistfight that happened this year will only strengthen that. Tennessee. Music City Travesty. The whole Bud Adams middle finger deal. Some might say the comeback, but I pin things like that on Houston, even though they're technically a different team. Not sure I'd consider Dallas a rivalry anymore. Yeah, they beat us in two Super Bowls. But it's not like they "stole it" from us. But neither team has done anything special in years. With all the former players/coaches/FO staff, I can see a friendly rivalry budding with Carolina. There's also a friendly one with Cleveland. The whole small, cold city, loyal, blue collar fanbase, but mostly lousy teams the past few years.

The last thread about what you got in trouble for as a kid, got remembering things I got in trouble for that I didn't do. Once, my aunt had an antique wooden dresser, and she found mine and my brother's name carved into it. We were both grounded for about two days until my brother finally confessed that he did it. But the one that still stands out, was I lived in the upstairs of a duplex in West Seneca. Landlord lived downstairs. Landlord, who I'd guess what about 30s or 40s at the time, told my parents that I spit on her from our second story balcony. I was grounded for two weeks, and to this day I I know I didn't do it. Not sure how much my mom believes me, but I will testify in court that I didn't do it.

Nah. We got enough video of everything we need from people's cell phones. -

Bills hire Heath Farwell as ST coordinator
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't understand why the Carolina thing is such a big deal. It happens in college all the time. A coordinator gets a HC job somewhere, or a HC gets an upgraded HC job, and they take as many of their assistants with them as they can. -
What's the most trouble you got in as a kid?

Also, maybe not the most trouble I've ever been in, but definitely the dumbest. I tried to dingdong ditch a guy that was mowing his front lawn. -

If you've never had your parents pretend to call Father Baker's to come pick you up, did you really grow up in Buffalo? Is that still a thing by the way, Father Baker's threats? I remember hearing they wanted to make him a saint and being pissed. When I got older, I realized he was actually a really good dude, taking in orphans, and the parents of WNY smeared his good name. My father in law always tells me the story of the time his mom was having the church women's group over for tea. She realized she was out of napkins, so she handed him some money and told him to go to the corner store, and get the best napkins he can find. He brought home "sanitary napkins," and was so proud of himself. -

Lol. I just got to that. What even was the point of that? I gotta say though, that was one of the most accurate portrayals of intoxication I've ever seen in TV, movies or video games. -
Ya'll Thought My Wedding Was Crazy

I do stand up comedy, and this thing bought me five minutes of material. I don't even have to write jokes because half of this stuff is funny on it's own. -
My birthday is in June, so my brother buys me six months of Napster for my birthday, and the other six months for Christmas. That, on top of his Hulu and Netflix passwords, make it the greatest gifts that keep on giving.

By the way, the remixed White Album is on streaming service now. I know a lot of people here are audiofiles and will want to get the CD or vinyl. But if you just want to hear the demos and unreleased material, and are okay with streaming audio quality, you can do it without breaking the bank.

Lol. I did the same exact thing. I realized once while aiming my gun that the game wouldn't let me shoot my horse. So I was showing my wife, who loves animals, how the game doesn't let you shoot horses, and accidentally killed a horse. Learned the hard way that it just won't let you kill your own horse. Lol. -

I stole a crunch bar from Tops when I was 4. My mom caught me trying to open it, and took me back to the store. Had the manager pretend to call the cops on me. Told my mom I hated her when I was about 7. Got a mouth full of soap for that one. Another time, my downstairs neighbors/landlords accused me of spitting on her from my second story balcony. To this day, I maintain my innocence and think they're full of *****. -

Yes. Just finished that, and like, two other missions. I've also accidently shot a few people. Lol. Pressed a wrong button once or twice. -

I just started playing the game. People in town are real @$$holes to me. Is this because I have a bounty in the town? Will that change if I pay it off. Or is that because off the whole honor meter thing? -
I'm not sure I know how to ask this properly. So for me, baseball always has, and always will be my favorite sport. I could sit in any stadium, and watch any game, and be happy. Little League, High School, College, Minor League, MLB, doesn't matter. That being said, I'm an Astros fan. Granted I've only been rooting for them about eight years, but when they win, I'm happy, and I don't like when they lose. But even when they won the World Series last year, I wasn't THAT excited. On the other hand, I'm obviously a huge Bills fan. The day we win it all, I'll cry tears of joy. But I only watch a small handful of NFL games outside of the Bills. I've watched parts of maybe two playoff games this year. Hockey, I love the Sabres almost as much as the Bills. But I honestly can't remember the last time I sat down to watch an NHL game not involving the Sabres, and barely follow the rest of the league. The way I explained it to my co-worker is if I was in Denver, CO, and had free tickets to see the Broncos play the Bills at the same time as the Rockies were playing the Astros, I'd go watch the Bills. If they were both playing two teams I don't care for one way or the other (let's say Chargers and Padres), I'd go to the baseball game. Even that's assuming the Bills were on a bye or something, because I'd probably turn them both down to go watch the Bills on TV somewhere. Is that weird? Being so passionate about a sport, but not your favorite team, or vice versa?
