Concert Pet Peeves
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I saw a band play a post game concert at the Astros game. They said "So you've all probably noticed we haven't played our most popular song yet. Usually, at this point in the show we leave the stage, you guys cheer, and we come back out for the encore. But that involves walking down steps, and into the dugout, and it'd be awkward for all parties involved. So we're just gonna turn around for about 30 seconds. You guys pretend we left the stage and cheer, and we'll turn back around like we're come back to the stage and play." -
Each day through my window I watch her as she passes by I say to myself you're such a lucky guy To have a girl like her is truly a dream come true Out of all the fellows in the world she belongs to me But it was just my imagination Runnin' away with me It was just my imagination runnin' away with me

Rex Ryan with a foot joke....
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it was @DC Tom who said something along the lines of "Rex Ryan is the first celebrity to have a sex scandal with his own wife." -
Hypothetically, if you had 100% control over the curriculum, would you teach penmanship? If yes, how much time and effort would be put into in comparison with the other subjects?

Texas wedding crasher
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in Off the Wall Archives
When they were taking pictures after the wedding she was already yelling and nagging at her husband. Literally 10 minutes into being married. Honestly, the woman in the picture actually looks like her, and I had to double check because I wouldn't put this behavior past her. -

Texas wedding crasher
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You may recall my thread from a few months ago complaining about a crappy wedding I had to attend. I brought my suit with me, but because my wife was the maid of honor, I just wore a T-Shirt and jeans because I helped set up and didn't want to get my suit dirty. After some of the early guests showed up, I just went to my car and changed into a polo, and kept the jeans. I was still dressed better than half the people there. My wedding from a few months earlier on the other hand was quite formal. All the men there were dressed in at least ties, most had jackets. Except the guy in this wedding. He showed up wearing blue jeans and a pearl snap. And I don't think he took of his ballcap my entire wedding. -

Where in Texas? -
Watching sports. Bills (obviously), University of Houston Cougar Baseball, Buffalo Sabres, Houston Cougar Football, and Houston Astros. I'm a huge baseball fan so I've taken up score keeping at games because I have season tickets to the Cougars and can only drag my wife and/or friends along to so many. I'm a rock history buff. I go to a lot of tribute band concerts since the bands I listen to are dead, retired, or ridiculously expensive. I enjoy writing, and have had a few articles about various local tribute bands published in a local music magazine. I play guitar and ukulele. Not very well, I like to tell people I know all three chords. I play the occasional video game. Not much though. Maybe an hour or two a day, ever two or three days. I enjoy the occasional cigar and glass of whiskey. I've been wanting to take up a sport again. Martial arts is expensive, and I'm not in very good shape. Golf is not ideal for my yankee body in this Texas heat. Thinking bowling would be fun. I used to bowl in a house leauge in high school. Wasn't good enough for the school team. Lost interest when the bowling alley I was in shut down, and they combined the age group and forced me to play on a team with kids that were like 10 when I was 15-16.

I barely remember cursive honestly. Other than signing my name, I've just never really had to use it. On the rare occasions I have to write in cursive, it takes me forever because I just have to recall it. I can read it just fine, but writing it isn't a skill I've really used in about 20 years.

I never had to take notes, or even study. I could just pay attention in class and had a good memory to recall them come test day. It's a blessing and a curse. Worked great until I got into higher level math. That's stuff that you can't learn without practicing. So by that point I hadn't developed the habits I needed to learn it.

Bon Scott or Brian Johnson
The Real Buffalo Joe replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Agreed. Powerage is one of their best albums and critically underrated. I found an album of a guy that took a bunch of songs from the Bon era, and turned them into acoustic ballads. You wouldn't even know it was AC/DC, and it really highlighted Bon Scott's abilities as a lyricist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What's_Next_to_the_Moon_(album) -
Just asking who wins, man. No need to complicate things.
