  1. Maybe it is rigged. The NHL told them to start winning to make it look real. THey'll come in 2nd last, and still win the lottery. #ThingsFansTryToConvinceTHemselvesOf
  2. Nah. Redskins are a dumpster fire. Browns are a close second though.
  3. I can't stand Cubs fans trying to tell me how they get what it's like. Yeah, 100 years without a championship sucks. But that's just one sport. Most likely, they're still fans of the Bears, who won in '85, and were just there a few years ago, Blackhawks, who are doing really well now, and The Bulls, who had one of, if not the greatest team in NBA history. Buffalo however has the Bills, who lost 4 Super Bowls, and the Music City Miracle Travesty. Sabres, with No Goal. Braves, who left town 12 years before I was even born. And the Bisons. Who were promised if we built it, they would come. Now we have a basically major league stadium for a AAA team.
  4. I've always had a special place in my heart for the Browns. A cold, blue collar town. Die hard fan base, with less than stellar play on the field for so long. Lost their team, just like we almost did. We're very similar. IF we had ended up losing the Bills, although I wouldn't have been anywhere near as passionate, it would have been a seamless transition.
  5. Exactly. Sam Bradford could be our Trent Dilfer.
  6. I'm not bashing them. I'm admitting to also being a Kool-Aid drinker.
  7. Bradford is more talented. It's his health that is causing concern.
  8. Oh, we're definitely on the right track now. I'm just saying, for the past decade and a half, we've been the biggest Kool-Aid drinkers in the league till now.
  9. You do realize we're Bills fans, right?
  10. You can't blame Ted Nolan or the players for doing their job. The problem is, GMTM needs to find a way to do it without making it so obvious.
  11. He could pull a TO and hold his own workout, and invite the media and teams to show up.
  12. That one too. I just remember being so excited, and tweeting every single reporter who predicted the Bills to not even have a chance of winning that game.
  13. At the same time though, Jackie Robinson wasn't the best black ballplayer of his era by a long shot. One of the best. But talent wise, Josh Gibson was far superior. But he had anger issues. So when they hurled insults at him, they didn't trust him not to retaliate. Because if he did, it would have set black baseball back twenty years, because the argument would be "See. This is why the blacks can't play. They can't be trusted." Which is what it seems Michael Sam would be doing with the reality shows, etc. Whether he likes it or not, he's representing a whole group of people.
  14. She does. But this was last year, before the Rams cut him. But put yourself in the shoes of a GM. A player that is unproven, and seems to be a mediocre player at best, is already gonna be a distraction. Now he's gonna bring that distraction along with him. The coming out thing is one issue, but when you think about it, it's better that he came out on his own terms than some paparazzi scandal later. But if he really had any integrity, he would have turned down the reality show.
  15. I guess. I didn't care for the fact that he was about to do a reality show for Oprah. If you want to be treated like everyone else, act like it.
  16. Exactly. Whether you like it or not, it's a distraction. What teams need to consider, is if the production on the field is worth it. With an established elite player, the pros of their on the field ability, leadership skills, etc, far outweigh the media circus that would follow.
  17. Let me ask you this, and it's purely hypothetical, not making any accusations. If JJ Watt were to come out as gay, would it effect his value as a player? Is there anybody, other than a small vocal minority, who would honestly say "I don't want that [insert gay slur] on my team." The answer is, of couse not. He's a proven beast on the field, and an angel off. Michael Sam just isn't good enough to play I'm the NFL. Maybe he will be, and he proves us all wrong, then good for him.
  18. Seriously? I picked those names almost as a joke, although I agree about Kolb, who will never see the field again. But Tebow, and Jordan Palmer, better than Sanchez. C'mon now.
  19. I saw this Led Zeppelin Tribute band about a year ago. Very talented. Sounded just like them. Their setlist is what sucked. It wasn't the songs they picked per se. They had a good mix of hits/b-sides fast/slow songs. But they started out with all the upbeat hits. Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Heartbreaker etc. Then played like 30 mins of slow b-sides nobody knew, which I love a good Zeppelin blues song, but c'mon. Then ended with Stairway and Kashmir.
  20. I'm sure your in your 100 post free trial now. I'd suggest the $19.99 gold membership when it's done. You get unlimited thread starts. The platinum membership, which is 24.99 is a waste. It gives you unlimited poll creation, although the 3 polls per month limit works just fine for most. And the price of posts in the shoutbox goes from 7¢ instead of 10¢ per shout. Not worth it. But weigh your options.
  21. But multiple sources said... So we're not INterested in him?
  22. I've always had trust issues with gerbils.
  23. It was in response to Beef Jerky saying that any free agene is > Sanchez. I was listing some who clearly are not, or at least wanted to see Beef Jerky defend the fact that they were.
