You can't tell me that Ravi Shavink, as good of a field striker as he is, would have help up to Griffith (The greatest player in the history of the game, my favorite) if they still have 7 meter half lengths. Why do all of these companies all of a sudden feel this need to "start a conversation" about some sort of social issue? Just be honest. The real reason is to start a conversation about their own company. Same as the Starbucks race thing.

you DC Tom! Only reason anybody knows who the bandits are because people jumped on the bandwagon during the NHL lockout.

I hate hearing this, because yeah, the Cubs have sucked but guess what? They have the Bears, who won in '85 and were just there about 10 years ago, granted they lost. The Blackhawks, who have won a few Stanley Cups. and the '90s Bulls, arguably the greatest team in the history of the sport. Buffalo however, has Wide Right, Four lost Super Bowls, Music City Miracle Tragedy, and No goal. And that's just two sports. We were more or less promised a Major League team if we built the stadium. We had larger crowds than both the White Sox and Braves. We built it, and they didn't come. And Basketball our team left town and went to LA. So you Chicago. We've been screwed in all four sports.

Maybe not a standing ovation, but at least have a home crowd that wants them to win for a game.

Because they've been working hard. How would you like it if you went to your home arena every night and had fans rooting against you. For some of these guys, this is their first NHL experience. They need to see the kind of support Buffalo fans can really offer, and to let them know that it was nothing personal. Kind of like an apology.

Sorry for your loss. Reminds me of my grandpa. He loved the Bills and Sabres till the day he died. I vividly remember the last conversation I had with him. This young Myers kid that coming up through the system. How time changes. My grandma hated Tom Brady with a passion. Always called him "Baby Brady." That big comeback win against them was our first time playing them since they'd both passed. I can't help but think they had something to do with it. I didn't know your grandpa, but it sounds like him and my grandpa will get along well. When we finally win that Super Bowl, they'll have the best seats in the house.

Not to mention he's been talking about Griffith (my favorite player) all week. Because of one bad derby roll back in '09, where he ended up getting the half bat anyway!
