  1. Agreed. While Allen is far from where he needs to be, all of his shortcomings are teachable.
  2. The relegation thing sort of happens, but it's not an official thing. I'm a Houston fan, and we've been so close to being a true contender. Problem is, every time we build a team good enough, it doesn't last because our coaches leave for other schools. Art Briles, Kevin Sumlin, Tom Herman. It's not that we as a university can't match their salary. But with the way college football works, if you're not in a P5 conference, you have zero chance at making the playoffs. Being an upper mid tier school, it's hard to get big outer conference opponents. Where a team from the MAC (No offense to UB teams), is gonna lose every time. If we played Clemeson/LSU/etc, they'd win 19/20 times. But that doesn't do anything for their ranking. But, while it's a longshot, we have the ability to beat them, and that would just kill them so they refuse to play us. Our basketball team is finally good, and will hopefully stay good for a while, because our coach can stay. 64 teams make the playoffs, so if you're a legit contender, you're in there. Even if you get a lower seed than you might deserve, all of the legitimate title contenders are given a fair shot.
  3. Stop wasting my time You know what I want You know what I need Or maybe you don't Do I have to come right flat out and tell you everything? Gimme some money Gimme some money
  4. What aspects of the Pro game do you prefer over the College, and Vice Versa? For me: College: Overtime System. I like the fact that there's virtually no way it ends in a tie. And each team gets an equal chance. It's like baseball extra innings. I get the NFL argument of "The defense should have be able to stop them." But we don't do that in baseball. If the team scores a run in the top of the 11th, we don't call game over. The home team always gets a chance to counter. One foot in bounds for a catch. I just like this rule better. Atmosphere at a game. NFL crowds just don't have as much fun as college crowds. The tailgating, the bands playing in the game, the fans generally just tend to have more passion and fun at the game. The Buffalo Bills fanbase are certainly an exception to this rule. We have the college atmosphere because we still have ticket prices that the real fan can afford. But most NFL stadiums just don't touch the fun of even smaller, lower level college games. Pro: Playoff system. This one is probably the most obvious. Every team is given a fair chance at the playoffs, and there's an actual system in place to determine who makes the playoffs. Parity. Even a game between the best and worst team in the league, is a game between the best, and 32nd best football team in the whole world. I understand why games are scheduled between Alabama and Central Northwestern Delaware Tech, the money, the practice for the better team, and the scout exposure for the few possible draftees on the smaller schoo's end. But it's not fun to watch as a fan of either team, or a random spectator. Pass Interference Rule. It should be at the spot of the foul, not a maximum of 15 yards. If I'm a college coach, I'm telling my players to do whatever they can to stop a pass longer than 15 yards, because I'd prefer the penalty. It's just now how the games should be played.
  5. I clicked because I hate myself. First off, Allen fit, not McDermott fitted. Second, BEcome a Hall of fame quarterback. A few other things that weren't technically grammatically incorrect, but could have been written much smoother.
  6. This is a possibility if he doesn't get a HC job somewhere.
  7. 2016. Lamar Jackson was playing for Louisville. A surprise powerhouse team that seemingly came out of nowhere. He came to my new hometown of Houston, TX, to take on the University of Houston Football Cougars. Everybody counted my beloved Cougars out of the game. Despite the odds being against us, I proudly supported my team and wore my bright red Cougar gear. That day, he was sacked 11 times, three times by our own Ed Oliver. Coogs won 36-10. Hoping Lamar Jackson has flashbacks seeing a red clad Ed Oliver attacking him.
  8. Everybody has a price. That said, even if the Panthers were after McD, they'd have to take Beane with him to be effective. To pull them away, is it even worth what they'd have to pay not just them, but most likely also the Bills to buy out their contract? Money aside, if they wanted him, they had their chance before we took him. Now, even if we put the issue of money aside, as mentioned previously, he's worked too hard to build what he has here. And the Panthers went to sh*t after he left. Any piece worth keeping he either took, or is gone. So it's not like he'd be taking over something that he help build and had familiarity with. So yeah. I'd say 0.000000000001% chance it happens. Now would they try to poach some of his assistants/coordinators for promotions? That's a possibility, and you can only wish them the best and hope McBeane finds a suitable replacement.
  9. Because if there's one thing we know, it's that when Bills HCs quit to go to greener pastures, it always works out so well for them.
  10. Maybe I didn't love you Quite as often as I could have And maybe I didn't treat you Quite as good as I should have If I made you feel second best Girl I'm sorry I was blind You were always on my mind
  11. My father in law is a huge ZZ Top fan. went to see them in bars around Houston before they even called themselves ZZ Top. Last time they were in town, he missed the concert because his leg was amputated. But a few months later, they played in Enid, OK, where his son is stationed. So they drove up there, and got handicapped seats. A lady stood in front of him holding up a sign that says "Hey ZZ Top, I got legs." After missing two or three songs because of this woman, he finally yells, "Well I f*cking don't so move out of the damn way!"
  12. Rollin' rollin' rollin' Rollin' rollin' rollin' Rollin' rollin' rollin' Rollin' rollin' rollin' Rawhide
  13. But then it turns out they had no intention of firing him, so he shows up to film study Monday morning like nothing happened.
  14. Yep! And Rex was the substitute teacher that went to your school and was friends with all of your older siblings.
  15. Derek Carr's older, much less talented brother. First ever pick for the Texans. Legendary bust.
  16. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I always thought Marrone was too much of a hard ass. Meant for college, but was too strict of a coach for adults playing professional football. Then we replaced him with Rex Ryan, which was a turn into the other side of the ditch. Zero discipline, and cared more about being liked than being a boss. I think McDermott is perfect in the regards that he definitely has discipline, but also has genuinely earned the respect of the players, and in turn, shows respect to the players.
  17. You know I don't understand why you don't treat yourself better Do the crazy things that you do 'Cause all the debutantes in Houston, baby, Couldn't hold a candle to you Did you do it for love? Did you do it for money? Did you do it for spite? Did you think you had to, honey? Who is gonna make it? We'll find out in the long run (in the long run) I know we can take it If our love is a strong one (is a strong one) Well, we're scared, but we ain't shakin' Kinda bent, but we ain't breakin' in the long run Ooh, I want to tell you, it's a long run in the long run In the long run In the long run
  18. There's a place not too far away from here Out with the cows and the Lone Star beer Where the livin' and lovin' is quite all right with me Well they call it Texas and it's a mighty fine place to be Runs from Texarkana to El Paso And Oklahoma down to old Mexico And there's Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antone People in Texas sure do make you feel at home.
  19. In retail, the coupon says it expires on the 10th of the month. The Boomers have decided that the 10th isn't late enough for them, so they try to redeem it on the 25th, or the 10th of the next month!
  20. Rode down the highway Broke the limit, we hit the town Went through to Texas, yeah Texas, and we had some fun We met some girls Some dancers who gave a good time Broke all the rules Played all the fools Yeah yeah they, they, they blew our minds And I was shaking at the knees Could I come again please Yeah them ladies were too kind You've been Thunderstruck
  21. I believe it's the official Bills dot com postgame and halftime show that's streamed on the website, Facebook, etc.
  22. "We've done four already but now we're steady And then they went: One, two, three, four" Singing in the sunshine, laughing in the rain Hitting on the moonshine, rocking in the grain Got no time to pack my bags, my foots outside the door I got a date, I can't be late, for the high hopes hailla ball, uh uh, uh uh, yeah
  23. Got to pay your dues if you wanna sing the bluesAnd you know it don't come easyYou don't have to shout or leap aboutYou can even play them easy
  24. The plays also weren't designed for him to make the big sacks/stops. His job was to cause the distruption so the other guys like Lawson could make the sack. And he's done it to near perfection all season.
