  1. Why is it THAT guy who constantly beats us? Why can't it be some burly dude. It adds insult to injury.
  2. I like our chances. Especially if we do what we should have done in the first matchup -- what the Giants did. Tight man to man coverage while trying to get as much pressure as possible on the QB and good fundamental tackling to limit YAC. I'm not very worried about our offense getting points on the board as long as they don't screw anything up too badly. However, after we win Monday night I fear a letdown against KC and if I had to choose one win over the other I think beating KC is more important. I hate looking ahead anyway so I won't anymore.
  3. Disturbing. Is that an actual saying or did you come up with that visual on your own?
  4. The Sabres need this one tonight because their upcoming schedule looks brutal.
  5. Jets fans and their local media hacks are always surprised and bitter when the Bills beat their crappy, overrated team. it happens every time. And Rex doesn't care about the media or their reaction. He doesn't care about the fans' reaction either. He does his thing and I think he really only cares about his team and protecting his players and coaches. He was that way in NY and he's that way in Buffalo. And if being the over-the-top front man is his method to win his team's loyalty then good for him (as long as it works).
  6. I'm liking the Bills' chances. I'm getting in early with "a win would not surprise me" - especially if they get their front four back together.
  7. We know. You just don't need to throw it in our faces.
  8. Derek Jeter. He's got everyone fooled except for me.
  9. We shall see if Rex is stubborn on Thursday night. Fitz should be pressured up the middle, and Mangold is hurting. Maybe Dareus will be used differently then. You also need to note that with Kyle out there is probably more need for Dareus to take on a more traditional NT role.
  10. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/was/ Does that make you feel better? Back to the Mets: Cespedes certainly blew a golden opportunity to cash in during free agency. Maybe he could be a two sport baseball/soccer guy.
  11. Right. But when you place a hot dog into a bun - split or otherwise - you've made a sandwich. Same with a hamburger. Just because a hamburger is placed between two pieces of a roll or bun and then is named after the filling doesn't mean it isn't a sandwich.
  12. It is in my local place here in Brooklyn. And it is really good.
  13. Just because a roll is split doesn't disqualify whatever you put into it from being called a sandwich. Bread comes in a loaf until it is sliced. New Question: what about traditional open faced "sandwiches" like a Reuben, a Monte Cristo or a Tuna Melt?
  14. I don't know. I'm in "be careful what you wish for" mode with Leodis to safety. I'd be happy to be wrong again.
  15. Of tight ends and running backs coming at him up the middle? Maybe my memory of him is faulty, it has been a year.
  16. I agree with the coverage and ball skills. Maybe not so much with reading plays (a new system that he hasn't played yet) and tackling.
  17. So this is an extension of the Andrew Luck Excuse thread.
  18. I've done the trip out of Penn Station the last two years and will again this year. I have to refresh my recollection and check the schedules, but I am pretty sure that I caught NJ Transit out of NYC to Secaucus Junction and then to the Meadowlands from there. I travel with a couple Jets fans that do the trip regularly so I get lazy with the details.
  19. Good thing fans' opinions don't count toward anyone's final record. Can't look past this week. Just beat Miami first then think about the Jets. If we beat Miami then the Jets game will be huge.

  21. Was wondering this all during the game yesterday when they would put the camera on Rex and Felton was just standing there behind him. Did Whaley tell Rex and Roman that he was spending a few million bucks to bring in Felton? What was their answer? When all of the running backs got hurt and they brought in retreads, wouldn't it have been wise to have Felton block for these guys? You know - make their lives easier a little bit?
