  1. That was tough to understand. Like he typed it while driving. Thanks for translating.
  2. I thought he was talking about Gugny dressing as a woman in order to get groped by orangutans.
  3. Wow Vince, you should check out the unpopular opinions thread. You could really shine there.
  4. Well now I know that bears don't just s**t in the woods. They s**t in the river, too. This bear cam really puts a big dent in my productivity.
  5. Every team has a loyal fanbase. In my opinion, Jets fans are utter tools. But they're loyal fans and there are a lot of them. There is no way to rank fanbases.
  6. And you just pointed out two factors that make a three year projection meaningless. There are way too many moving parts. Tyrod could also turn into a top 5 QB. Some key player may miss a year on IR. Rex had a year to implement his system on a defense which wasn't set up for it because Marrone unexpectedly left. Rex could be a buffoon or he might do well. The only team I saw ranked was Seattle (because I'm thankfully not an ESPN "Insider"). What happens if Pete Carroll stops coaching after next year? What about Russell Wilson's health?
  7. Why did I click on that? Why would anyone rank fanbases? Was this some marketing school project?
  8. I'm not saying that their complaints were totally without merit. Just save it for a different time. They couldn't find anything to say. Not even, "boy, Portugal really had to change gears there and make it a defense-first, team effort to win". Everyone knew that the longer it went, the better Portugal's chances would have become. And they pulled it off with stellar goaltending and by preventing second chances as much as possible. Hard to say the wrong team won when it genuinely took a team effort to overcome the loss of Ronaldo I'd say the opposite. France is studded with great players and losing one of them wouldn't have hurt so much.
  9. Congrats to your team. Happy for you. My wife is Portuguese. She was so down in the first half and then her enthusiasm built up all through the remainder of the game. What annoyed me was the post-game comments by every single ESPN commentator. They couldn't help but crap all over the winners. Not one positive thing was said about Portugal's team or victory. Couldn't even say "good game", "resilient team effort", "they were underdogs even before their all-time great player went out"...nothing. They just bitched about how the game was boring and how they shouldn't have gotten out of their group and had an easy time of it on their side of the bracket. Sounded like a bunch of idiots at the local bar who put all their money down on France. I wanted to watch the celebration -- I should have muted the sound on the T.V. but I just couldn't believe what I was hearing.
  10. You just drafted the public service announcement. Well done. I also think a Bill Veteran should be included in this campaign. I nominate Ronnie Harmon.
  11. Yep. There are a lot of ways this topic can go. Parenting, drug and alcohol abuse among kids, college life, the fact that every mistake you make might wind up going viral; and the after-the-fact pressure that goes along with that.
  12. I'm sure mom and dad have seen this a lot at home, first hand. And by the way, he got arrested a few weeks ago for assaulting an officer while trying to escape from rehab. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/uconn-mac-cheese-student-arrested-article-1.2691325
  13. "What difference--at this point, what difference does it make?"
  14. Bought two packs today. They are our go-to dogs. I always thought their distribution was limited to downstate NY/tri-state area but I could easily be wrong about that. They've got good cold cuts and their hot dogs are pretty good too. I like Nathan's too, as well as Sabrette. I like a nice well done Sahlens when I'm in WNY.
  15. You might be right about stereotyping to a certain extent, but you're also overlooking the stereotype of a small-ish running QB and the perpetual fear that he will be injured. In that light, it doesn't matter what the color of his skin is. I don't hold my breath because I don't think he has the "attributes" to be a successful quarterback. I hold my breath when Taylor uses his legs. I hope that with experience, he will stay in the relatively safer pocket.
  16. That pick at 69 is a real crapshoot. I hope he doesn't stink.
  17. Dunkin donuts can't make its food look appetizing on a t.v. commercial. If you can't do that, I don't consider it to be food.
