  1. I'm on the fence. I don't think he's going anywhere. I think Gionta is as good as gone. I wonder whether Kane wants to stay in Buffalo, so if he isn't moved, what's his motivation going to be in the future? I have no idea whatsoever, just wondering. I also wonder (given he does have a lot of value because of production and that he is locked up through next year) what you would try to get in return? Would you go for the most talent playing in the NHL now? Would you focus on picks and prospects? Would you try to package him with Gorges or Moulson to free up $$? Lots of options.
  2. Wow, he hit the boards hard. I wish this team could string some together. At a minimum they've shown a consistent ability to make third period comebacks.
  3. ... but Oakland, Washington and Philly. And don't forget Tennessee and Tampa Bay.
  4. ??? who are you comparing them to ??? New England Picked 2 QB, 6 WR and 9 DB's. Cleveland picked 3 QB 6 WR and 10 DB's.
  5. I don't see this going well. What will Lynch's role actually be? Book the flights and make sure the equipment gets there on time? But better yet, leave the HC duties AND personnel to a first-timer.
  6. Nope. No deal is no deal. Not only that, but on top of it you went right back to pasting the flowers on the parade float.
  7. I sent an email to a Pats fan today. It said "congratulations, that one looked legit".
  8. Just lay off the salutes to the Super Bowl champs and I won't bring up the trap. Deal? You can keep up with your Kane love. I don't think he's going anywhere.
  9. Haha! The bombardment stupid decision ray. So the opposing team and their coaches should line their hats with tinfoil (like I do).
  10. Matt Ryan is the most un-clutch player ever. No faith in him pulling this off.
  11. Chicken soup and NyQuil. I was going to be a bit more ambitious, but don't have the energy.

  13. Perhaps he's right, but I think a more important stat is the amount of times the puck is in the back of each team's net. Call me crazy.
  14. I'm only responding to the bolded part. The Rangers' (run of the mill at this point in his career) goalie didn't really need to work too hard. This is in spite of what appeared to be a lot of scoring chances for the home team. Many of those opportunities were routine saves and the Rangers' defense made Lundquist's life easy last night. That doesn't happen every night for that team and Lundquist isn't capable of carrying that team anymore. On the other hand, Lehner had to make a lot of big saves to keep the Sabres in the game. If Grabiner had better hands, he would have had three or four goals on his own. The difference was a lack of defensive support. A team can't ask its (run of the mill at this point in his career) goaltender to continually keep them in games. Last night, the Sabres did that and the Rangers didn't. And Jack Eichel held the puck way too long all night.
  15. Ha! I was going to say Glanville. Wyche is a good choice though. Remember his "you're not from Clevelend" stunt?
  16. The tradition should be that if the stupid groundhog sees its stupid shadow then it is immediately beheaded and roasted on a spit. Every idiot who attends the jackass ceremony would then be forced to eat a chunk of it. And, no, I don't want to extend this to other events like the Oscars or Miss America, etc.
  17. Lundquist is, again, our main hope for a win in this game. They've got to find a way to gum up the speed on those first three lines of the Rangers.
  18. ...in order to stifle the remarks of a homosexual immigrant. Sounds like a hate crime.
  19. Talk about being a potential big player at the trading deadline! Every team that wants to make a trade will need to go to McPhee to determine whether he's got any future interest, and maybe lob a draft pick at him to keep his mitts off. He could wind up with half the second round.
  20. Interesting. Maybe you'll survive if you take vitamin supplements. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2011/04/how_long_can_you_survive_on_beer_alone.html
  21. Actually, I realize that I was "that guy" regarding this subject. I believe, honestly, that potato chips and corn chips will qualify in this case. If you want bonus vegetables, then go with onion dip and salsa.
