  1. No need to be hobophobic. Im sure many hobos are just like you and me.
  2. Euron pulled a Mike Tyson: everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.
  3. The Tenement Museum is worth the trip for sure. And if you want to get same day tickets to a Broadway show, look up tkts near south street seaport, you won't have to wait on a ridiculous line (like the one in Times Square) and you can get good seats for a decent price to whatever they have available that day.
  4. Two thick slices of Italian bread, toasted lightly. Leftover meatballs, cold and sliced thin but piled high, with some sauce -- not too much. A fair amount of grated Romano cheese.
  5. Will it make less traffic on the interstate? That's where I will be driving.
  6. Yeah, maybe "raise eyebrows" was a bit of an understatement. But, hey, it wouldn't be unconstitutional so I say go for it (inserts beer drinking emoji here).
  7. I think (not sure) that since Mueller was appointed by DOJ his removal by Trump wouldn't raise a Constitutional issue. It would raise a lot of eyebrows. If Mueller were a Congressionally appointed investigator, it would raise both.
  8. No, but advertising dollars do go a long way. My point was that people aren't necessarily stupid. They're distracted. They vote representatives into congress to represent their interests. That's not happening with regard to this particular issue (I'll limit it to this issue).
  9. In the pockets of the lobbyists, taking advantage of constituents who work for a living and don't have time to enlighten themselves.
  10. Everyone except Congress talks about reducing healthcare costs. It is the most rational of all questions. Why is it that they ignore this aspect of healthcare reform? The whole reform idea from both sides of the aisle is pure bull **** without reducing costs.
  11. Before or after it is eaten? Maybe before. Not after.
  12. Today's parents were the kids he's talking about -- who didn't have it so easy. Social media plays a big part. Every kid today knows what every other kid has and does (whether that kid is in town or across the country) and they all have to keep up with each other. Most parents today feel compelled to placate their kids and not enough of them say no.
  13. I'm hoping he has a big year and they find a way to keep him long term. He's got Hossa-type potential.
  14. Wow. Stupid man pays the stupid tax.
  15. What dialect of gibberish is this?
  16. I think I remember Putin saying that he gave up on Trumps chances near the end of the campaign. Elections are regularly scheduled and you don't have to be so quick as when there is a shocking upset that you use to your advantage. I'm not saying you're exactly right, but I do believe that to some extent the Russians are playing along and trying to gain an advantage from our internal divisions. I think it is why Trump is so bad at handling this whole matter. He usually likes to create the distraction himself to his advantage. He's got no control over this distraction and it keeps him off balance. I have no love for the Russians and Putin, but I expect them to do this. It is the domestic actors who are trying to undermine the functioning of the administration (because they have a different goal) that really pisses me off.
  17. So for any of this to be true (a) Trump and his people couldn't possibly have been colluding with Russia on anything -- because the more important aspect is the manipulation of the story for the purpose of distracting the government from real issues that they should be focusing on, and (b) if the Russians are manipulating the story then whoever's doing the steady and well-timed leaking on their behalf is more guilty of treason than whatever anyone in Trump's campaign allegedly did. ...Unless (a) is actually the Russians capitalizing on the overblown reaction to the election results, which would be pretty deft on their part.
  18. Natural causes? Pretty high. I think they probably don't take bets like that because it could lead to unnatural causes.
  19. Ask your programmers to add willful ignorance into your data set. It will decrease your frustration levels.
  20. Me too, but I think there would be a decrnt possibility of getting both.
  21. I'd bet a coup eventually results in China's border moving south.
  22. State parks are closed. I've been on a NJ beach every day since Saturday. So have a lot of other people. Didn't notice a thing. NJ also found a way to collect tolls on the roads all the way down here, so there's not a complete shutdown, rest assured.
