LOL...only problem with your example is that if SD had followed your "proof" then they would have Drew Brees (2nd rd), but no LaDainian Tomlinson (1st rd).
It was refreshing not to have a big event on Fox IMO. That alone made it better.
And someone let me know when they've ever watched a multi-hour pregame anything and didn't find it boring. Seems nearly impossible.
I think McNabb would be a perfect stop-gap. In the meantime, they can groom a young QB (still not sure who that's going to be) and fix our o-line. No sense bringing in the "next great Bills QB" if he's just going to have his confidence shattered like the QBs who came before him.
Don't quote me on this, but I think Pickett is more of a 2-gap guy and Tripplett is a definite 3-gap. I don't think 280 lbs is out of the range for a 3-gap guy.
But, yes, Tripplett was not a productive pickup.
