The only thing worse than not trading down would be forcing a trade down, losing an opportunity draft a top talent, and not getting very good equity. It's not as simple as throwing a dart at the list of teams and picking up the phone.

Seems to me that Rams regret drafting Carriker and don't think he's worth his contract. It will be nice to have him off the books as they try to sign the #1 pick. I DON'T think this means anything in terms of Haynesworth though....at least not yet. But it does raise an interesting question about which position the Rams pick at #1.

I'm worried that I've somewhat fallen into the trap of thinking that things will be different. If you look at who's running things, it really hasn't changed too dramatically. I hope Nix really does have a better head on his shoulders than the previous decision makers (of which he was one of them), somebody needs to put duct tape over Ralph's mouth, and Whaley needs to have input because his perspective as someone who hasn't been in a Bills draft room before could be invaluable.
