  1. I have no problem admitting that I'm a bit concerned about the discipline of the STs thus far. I'm hoping that the issue has to do with guys trying too hard to show something which is causing the breakdowns like not staying in their lanes.
  2. romanowski and rodney harrison came to mind first
  3. Spiller is an incredible offensive weapon that needs to become a better pass blocker to get regular work, Freddy is better than people are giving him credit for and Lynch will be an ideal complement at power back assuming he can focus and return to form. That said, people seem to be looking at the RB situation all wrong. It's not about one back being better than another...it's about other teams knowing that all three backs are able to do serious damage with the ball. This makes it necessary for teams to account for them. And when 2 or 3 of them are on the field at the same time then it creates favorable matchups in the running and passing game. It can also neutralize the blitz allowing Trent more time upright. The offense will be less predictable and the team's best weapons will stay fresh. I blame the fact that FJ and ML got injured during the first game which forced Chan to run more traditional schemes (that and it's preseason so he probably wants to keep some stuff up his sleeve anyway). We haven't seen the real offense yet and we need to stop thinking about it the way we have in the past.
  4. I'll be happy if we just don't fire our OC and cut one of our starting OTs the week before the start of the regular season.
  5. I think that Green Bay will be one of the top teams this year...so no problems here.
  6. Completely false. Do a little research. http://content.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/salaries/default.aspx?Loc=Vanity
  7. I like it, so thanks SDS!
  8. I agree that this is great, but am I a bad person for not knowing who Brick Stone is? The article is sort of written in a way that makes me think that it's a given that I would.
  9. Life can be pretty good sitting on your couch in your isolated corner of the world.
  10. I posted this in another thread awhile back... 1 1 DET Matthew Stafford QB 2009 0 0 1 3 10 201 377 2267 13 20 20 108 2 1 Georgia 1 2 STL Jason Smith T 2009 0 0 0 1 8 1 Baylor 1 3 KAN Tyson Jackson DE 2009 0 0 1 6 16 26 LSU 1 4 SEA Aaron Curry LB 2009 0 0 1 5 14 53 2.0 Wake Forest 1 5 NYJ Mark Sanchez QB 2009 0 0 1 6 15 196 364 2444 12 20 36 106 3 USC 1 6 CIN Andre Smith T 0 0 0 Alabama 1 7 OAK Darrius Heyward-Bey WR 2009 0 0 1 1 11 2 19 0 9 124 1 Maryland 1 8 JAX Eugene Monroe T 2009 0 0 1 7 15 Virginia 1 9 GNB B.J. When 7-8 of these guys become established superstars and we end up thinking *which one of these things is not like the other?* with Maybin, then we can start talking bust. Until then, I just see a list of guys who are well paid, but haven't done much of anything yet.
  11. Fat Albert torched by the Washington Post today... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/08/22/AR2010082202581.html
  12. On a positive note, i just checked out the mobile version and it's sweet!
  13. I'd love to kill the Gallery images at the top of the forum home page w/o resorting to Adblock or a custom stylesheet. Any opportunity for this? Personally I just don't think they belong in such a prominent position...pushing the forum links so far down the page that I almost need to scroll just to get to the main forum.
  14. I never heard much demand from Torontonian's for NFL football (from Buffalo or elsewhere) so I'm not exactly going out of my way to crucify them for failing to support it.
  15. Nelson was an exciting prospect that brought Bills fans a tiny shred of hope...of course he's injured. Probably get a staph infection too...why not? Just rub it in football gods! DAMN YOU!!!
  16. Caught double-posting in the excitement of trying to be first...only to find that you were 3rd (and 4th).
  17. I refuse to take part in any doom n' gloom poll that doesn't include an option for Eddie Robinson returning to play LB.
  18. This thread title makes me think we should be discussing whether or not to put Trent down out of mercy.
  19. 1. He couldn't have been TOO deep...he was right there to make the hit almost immediately after the ball was caught. 2. As you said, his primary coverage may have been deep on a WR....and if that was the case, then he made a heck of a play to break off of that coverage and get to the TE in reasonably good time.
  20. I see what you did here.
  21. Those of us who can see the future, definitely knew that our two top RBs were going to be out after less than 1 Qtr into the preseason.
