We could trade our 1st round pick next year for a franchise QB!!! Oh wait, we tried that. And, we don't have a 1st round pick next year.

Every Tuesday is "Defensive Players Get to Beat the Crap Out of the Offensive Players" day. Bats, chains, and other bludgeoning devices will be sold at the concession stand. I can see it now...Spikes with Bledsoe in a headlock.
-
Possibly against the Fins. I've watched a lot of football this season and they are the only team that looks as pathetic as us so far.

Official "off the bledsoe blandwagon" thread

Drew's done. My days of blaming the protection are over. Unfortunately, the Losman era is on hold....for now. -
Not too different. The aim of politicians during an election is to sway the dumbest cross-section of America to buy into their BS. Those who can think for themselves can see through the BS and have already made up their mind.

My first choice would be Washington.

Guys....need opinions on a Fantasy trade

If Portis' and McCallister's bye weeks were later in the season I would suggest that you go for it. However, your two best backs will be out right about the same time that Davis is projected to come back. If Davis doesn't come back on schedule, then you might be without a productive RB. Then again, it is early in the season. If its not a very deep league and there are still some respectable FAs available I would tell you to put Davis on IR and pick up a mediocre RB just in case. -
You should probably dump a defense...but maybe not KC as everyone is suggesting. Do you get points for special teams (yardage and/or TDs)? If yes, then the value of the KC defense just went up. Do you get points for PA (points allowed)? If yes, then Buffalo's stock rises. KC gets in to too many high scoring games and, therefore, would be a liability. Are the most DEF points created by turnovers? If yes, then KC gets the advantage. KC tied for fifth best in the NFL in takeaways last season. Buffalo?....dead last.

You make it sound like trial law was a hobby. He's won over $40 million in settlements. Guess what? He knows how to get his point across. To wit: You base your point on the fact that he his experience and status of being chief of staff, sec. of def., congressman, and VP will make the debate a runaway. Well Bush is the friggin' president of the USA and he speaks like a clueless moron. Cheney's best quality is his smugness. That's not saying much.

Since nobody wants to RTFA, here is an excerpt... I don't doubt that some of you were contacted when you were a senior in HS (very possibly AFTER you had registered with SS), but the point is that before the NCLB Act, it was an opt-in system. Now it's not.

A family member recently told me that a note had been sent home from her daughter's high school informing her that the school would be releasing her daughter's personal data to the US Military. This is all done as part of the No Child Left Behind Act. If she chose to, she could opt-out of this to prevent the information from being disclosed. Here is an article that I found on the subject.... http://writ.news.findlaw.com/ramasastry/20021204.html For those of you with children in high school... - Have you heard about this initiative? - If yes, have you been informed by the school? - Does it bother you from a privacy standpoint? Personally, I would opt out of this (assuming that I was properly notified). As far as I'm concerned, the military can have my children's (once I have one) information when they register with selective services and not before then. Opinions?

I say Vick. NE is gonna get ahead of the Cards early and then its gonna be run, run, run. Plus the St. Louis secondary is shaky.

OT - I have a major dilemma brewing and

Go. They'll have their fun but in the end respect you more for going. -
I went to Montreal this summer (got engaged there!) for the first time. If you get a chance and you like Polish food, try the Stash Cafe in Old Montreal. Excellent sausage, pierogies, cabbage, etc. For more upscale (AKA impress your boss) I recommend The Globe on St. Laurent. I know you're going for business, but its a really nice city if you get a chance to explore it.

OT : NHL Hockey. Do the owners have profit..
MattyT replied to FTW_BillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Revenue sharing only makes the field level if the owners are required to put the shared revenue towards building the team or more specifically the coaching/player payroll. The MLB system (not sure about NFL) is basically welfare. The salary cap is a much more affective equalizer, but as we all know it has its share of ups and downs. Personally, I've grown accustomed to free agency in sports and I'm OK with it. -
Flat out NO. That's a pretty tough conspiracy theory to sell.
-
Essentially, blocks further up the field than the line of scrimmage. Typically applied to LBs or DBs.

I hope someone has been spending time with Coy going over the tape of the Jags game this week. His ability to read the PA pass could use some improvement. For this week in particular, he has to be careful about biting on Gannon's signature pump fakes. I guarantee he gets burned on at least one of them. I'm crossing my fingers.

I agree about the late model Mustangs, but have you seen the new, new Mustangs? http://www.fordusa.com/2005mustang/photogallery.asp I wouldn't necessarily buy one, but at least they're easier to look at.

To try to add a bit of perspective here, how many TBDers can honestly remember complaining about Clements' play during the last couple of years. Other than being lumped in the general category of "not creating turnovers" (which was every DB last year) has anyone seriously proposed trading Clements because he was a bad player before last week? I certainly don't recall that. I think we all need to chill a bit and let the season take shape.
-
I'm not necessarily a proponent of trading Clements, but "if we were to".....I would be remiss to not point out that Mike McKenzie is a holdout that is definitely available.
-
While I agree that it is good that we didn't lose a player for the season, here is the problem with your statement. The Eagles and Panthers could still kick the Bills butt even without these injured players. Now who am I supposed to feel sorry for? No thanks.

My constant Bledsoe Bashing & "Statue" comments
MattyT replied to Foxboro Mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How 'bout reconfiguring your computer so that any time you type the word "statue" it gives you a small electrical shock. That will reduce the number of recovery steps dramatically.
