  1. The haircut made him look like one of those guys in the Spanish sitcoms that they dress up in sailor outfits holding a very large lollypop.
  2. I don't remember Charlie Hustle having such a thick New York accent. "Give me a friggin break heah! I paid youse last Tursday."
  3. Probably not difficult now, but this was 4 years ago.
  4. Nice! (heard in JP Losman's living room) RING RING! Donahoe: Hey JP this is Tom. Are you ready to play yet? We could use you. Losman: I'm getting there boss. (10 minutes later) RING RING! Donahoe: Hey JP this is Tom again. Are you ready to play yet? We could use you. Losman: I'm getting there boss. (10 minutes later) RING RING! Donahoe: Hey JP this is Tom again. Are you ready to play yet? We could use you. Losman: I'm getting there boss. ...etc.
  5. Uhmmm. Also know by its surname...Living In Oblivion.
  6. 175th but just starting to hit my stride
  7. True. I had to order it on the Internet from a Canadian wholesaler. One of my faves.
  8. Nice! Thanks. I've been looking for something like this for a while.
  9. Is this thread really necessary?
  10. "So I really gotta ask...Can the excuses stop?" Apparently not. BTW, the way they are playing right now, Drew and Brad Johnson are basically interchangeable and their W-L records reflect it.
  11. If they changed this to a 15 yard penalty then wouldn't receivers get absolutely manhandled past 15 yards? If I was a CB, I'd friggen deck the guy if I knew that I could prevent a big play.
  12. Why bother...the refs change the rules on a play-by-play basis anyway.
  13. My favorite is jamming 5 cars into the middle of an intersection so that they can all turn left for 2.5 minutes after the light has turned red.
  14. Well at least they didn't blow any of the important calls.
  15. There's a saying about a river in Egypt...
  16. Interesting exercise, here's mine (modified)..... 1. QB lack of confidence to make crucial throws in a timely fashion 2. Running Backs do not pick up the blitz 3. QB inability to audiblize(sp?) to protect from or take advantage of blitz mismatches (also attributed to improper coaching IMO) 4. Offensive Line, in particular pass protection 5. Coaching (Offensive schemes) 6. Lack of a TE with catching (and blocking!) ability To comment on a few others that I didn't rank... #. Unsuccessfully replacing Peerless Price - jury still out until a sound attempt to properly utilize Evans is made #. Running Backs not having good catching ability - I don't think this is necessesarily a problem
  17. Oh ye of too much faith. Well there's the rub then. Somebody forgot to tell the offensive coaches that teams blitz in this league. But at least they're practicing it this week. This has been easily correctable for two consecutive seasons. It must be the most difficult easily correctable problem ever faced by man. Freak and obie_wan are completely correct.
  18. 34-78-83 mentioned it.... I never understand it when people complain about Madden being too hard or too easy. Adjust the AI settings! It's completely customizable in numerous categories to suit your skill level and preferences. The only people who should complain are the ones who still dominate with the settings at the most difficult or suck with the settings all the way down. It's the difference between hating the game and having fun.
  19. Sorry, but you come out here with your hair on fire calling everyone idiots and whatever, telling us to quit the blame game and your argument is that the Bills "need a superstar?" That's pretty thin. Especially for all the wrath that you brought with you.
  20. First off, let me say that I have not replayed the Raiders game to do any of this attempted analysis because I have neither the capacity, nor the intestinal fortitude. I encourage anyone who has replayed the game specifically looking at the blocking breakdowns to tell me that I am full of stevestojan if appropriate. However, having watched the game once and looking at some of the stats, something stood out to me. I don't think that the "new look" O-line is as horrible at pass protection as many think. Defining the O-line, I'm talking about the tackles, guards, and center, not HBs, FBs, TEs or WRs. That may seem obvious but it is important to make this distinction because not including the skill positions is the basis of the argument. Looking at the Raiders defensive statistics shows that 2.5 sacks were given to defensive linemen (DEs & DTs) and 4.5 sacks were given to LBs and CBs. That is somewhat telling. The primary responsibility of an O-lineman is containing one or more members of the defensive line. Certain packages may change that responsibility somewhat, but I think it is generally a safe assumption. So really, the fault for a majority of the sacks can be placed on... 1) the TEs, HBs, and FB for not blocking the LBs, CBs, and Safeties sufficiently 2) Bledsoe for hanging on to the ball too long and not changing plays or blocking schemes to either defend against, or take advantage of the mismatch created by the blitz. I believe that the 2.5 sacks allowed to the defensive lineman was mostly due to having two big beefy pro-bowlers at the DT position that required double teaming. Which, now that I think about it, points blame back to the TEs for not covering the OL duties while the DTs were being double teamed. Also, sorry to condemn Drew further, but having seen some of the plays where Henry and Shelton ran right past the blitzers into the flat...I am almost certain that some of those plays were run exactly as designed and Drew failed to get the ball past the blitzer before being dumped like last Thursdays trash.
  21. The fact that Bledsoe is a free agent in one of my leagues might also tell you something! Yikes.
  22. The only thing "NICE" about the long pass to Evans was that it was a completion. Drew didn't even come close to hitting Evans in stride. I would be interested to go back and see if Drew felt comfortable enough in the pocket to really step into the pass. He's broken. Cripes, McNabb threw a ball through the back of the end zone from about the same place on Monday night. Evans had to pretty much come to a complete stop.
  23. Holy crap! My toughest decision this morning was Caf or Decaf. Congrats man.
  24. Good post. If I hear the Bills say the they "need to execute" one more time I will probably do the same to myself. Now where's that gun-to-the-head smilie face?
