Hehe...its an abbreviation that I commonly use for backup. Now that I am thinking about it I'm wondering if I made it up or if I've seen it elsewhere. Not sure. Sorry for the confusion.
-
Absolutely. I wouldn't want him to come to this board and see that 3/4 of the posts were incredibly about our former quarterback.

"For all I know" is code for "I saw him getting a lap dance while I was at the ballet."

I have a follow up to this question.... If he fell when nobody was there to listen, would he make a sound?

Bills | Miller Could be Option as Backup QB - from www.KFFL.com Thu, 17 Feb 2005 09:25:18 -0800 Mark Gaughan, of the Buffalo News, reports the Buffalo Bills intend to have a veteran backup quarterback behind projected starter QB J.P. Losman next season and their first preference would be to re-sign QB Shane Matthews, who served that role last year. If Matthews decides to retire or signs elsewhere, the Bills could consider veteran QB Jim Miller (Patriots) during the offseason. Anybody know how reliable this Gaughan guy is?

Maybe he's playing Bills vs Pats in Madden over and over again.

Do you feel that he is patient enough in the pocket for the NFL or does he have too many "snap and dash" moments?

What are the chances Drew doesn't play

Sad fact.... The lockout caused Golisano to lose around $7 million dollars. The bad part? He would have lost a lot MORE money if the season had actually taken place. What a screwed up league. -
Ditto. However, seeing them try to take that boat out on the water next week ought to be interesting.

Well....no turning back now...

Pick? 2005 BMW M3 or Bills Superbowl Win in 2006.
MattyT replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll take the M3 and a Super Bowl win in 07 thank you.* *This is unusually difficult because an E46 platform M3 is basically my most desired material possesion. If you used almost any other car as an example I would have taken the 06 Superbowl. -
So which is it with the backup QB
MattyT replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like both A and B. My preference at this point is Mike McMahon, but I'm not sure about his mentoring. However, I would trust him with the ball. -
Funny you mention that..... Seahawks | Looking to Lock Up Hasselbeck - from www.KFFL.com Wed, 16 Feb 2005 08:04:34 -0800 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports with the Seattle Seahawks reaching a new deal with OT Walter Jones this week, the club has now turned its attention toward re-signing free agent-to-be QB Matt Hasselbeck. The team has the option of designating Hasselbeck their franchise player if a new deal is not worked out before the start of free agency in March. If they DO resign Hasselbeck, how likely is it that they would franchise Alexander? I'm not sure that they guy wants to be there.

A fairly plain, black, strat-shaped Charvel that I bought back in my metal days because it looked like Kirk Hammet's ESP and a small Peavey Stereo Chorus amp. The guitar is nothing special but the action is reeeaaaal smooth. I used to have a fairly large Carvin amp but sold it to put towards a mountain bike. All this talk is making me want to start playing again.

Seahawks | Jones Agrees to Lucrative Long-Term Deal - from www.KFFL.com Wed, 16 Feb 2005 07:54:14 -0800 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms with OT Walter Jones on a seven-year deal that includes a signing bonus exceeding $15 million and includes additional roster bonuses over the first three years. Jones' new deal averages more than $7 million annually, putting the veteran tackle on par with the highest paid linemen in the league. Jones is expected to officially sign his new contract Wednesday, Feb. 16.

Actually I would be satisfied with McMahon. Charlie Batch and Tim Hasselbeck would be realistic second choices. But if I had money on it, I would bet we see Kordell make another lengthy visit to One Bills Drive this summer.

Honestly I think your looking at this backwards. Talented FA wide receivers change teams to earn promotions. #4s go where they will get playing time, #3's try to prove that they can be both hands and speed at #2, and #2 guys try to show that they have earned there stripes in single coverage and are talented enough to be productive at the #1 spot where they will often see double teams and be counted on to make the biggest plays. That doesn't even factor into the money, which goes up...not down, unless the player is well past his prime. Teams that have outstanding #3 receivers fall into one of three categories: 1) A #2 guy goes to a proven, successful team with a veteran QB that is on the verge of a championship, or 2) a rookie develops into a player who goes beyond his expectations or 3) you have a role player type career hands guy in the mold of Wayne Chrebet or Bill Schroeder. We've almost got scenario number one working for us except for the fact that Losman will most likely be our starting QB next year. With an unproven and inexperienced QB leading us, a real-deal #2 guy will not want to be demoted to playing #3 in Buffalo. I know that YOU love JP, but when money and a career are on the line, how many receivers do you honestly think are going to take a demotion?

I don't have contract specifics for Givens, but according to the sources that I have been provided with he is an FA. http://www.theredzone.org/2005/freeagents/...p?Team=Patriots

There are some really unrealistic names being thrown around here to play what essentially will be a 3rd WR. The Bills aren't in a comfortable enough spot under the cap for the kinds of players that are being mentioned. If we're extremely lucky... we might land Cedrick Wilson (SF) or Ronald Curry (Oak). Curry is wishful thinking because it looks like Porter wants out. IMO, more likely candidates include Lee Mays from Pitt (my personal choice), Kasper or Patten (NE), Troy Walters (Indy), or maybe a return performance from Bobby Shaw. - Houshmanzadahwhatever and Burress want to be #1s somewhere. It may not happen, but no way to they accept a third spot. - I don't see the young guys from Detroit or Arizona going anywhere. - The NE situation with Givens/Patten/Kasper is a tough one to call because you never know what is running through Belichick and Pioli's minds when they make roster choices.

I think it would be fun to get drunk on a plane with Hunter Thompson. Jay Leno?....booooring -
I know what you mean. I saw Billy Lane fabricate two fenders and an incredibly symmetrical gas tank by bending most of the sheet metal around a length of pipe and table edges with his hands. He places them on the bike for fitting, takes a quick look, makes a few more bends, welds it all together and he's done with that part of the build. I've never seen Paulie do that. However, it sounds like they've got some machines in the new shop that will let them build more parts in-house. Paul Sr. obviously doesn't like the fact that so much work is being contracted and he's pushing the guys to get more done on their own. Hiring Rick was also a step in the right direction.
