The problem with Pegula selling the team is that you then open up the very real possibility of no longer having an NHL franchise in Buffalo at all if the new owner isn't able to fix it right away. Unless of course you find another multi billionaire owner with strong ties to WNY. Limbo.

I really only follow the Sabres these days by catching up on scores every few days. But hasn't Adams essentially acknowledged its playoff or his job this year? Lindy must have realized this too when he accepted the job. This franchise is unquestionably a mess. However, I do remember the 05/06 team starting pretty awful as well before catching fire, but it was certainly before December that they awoke from an early season slumber. Keep firing GMs and coaches until it works. That's the only way forward for this franchise.
