  1. Biggest change for 2016 will be that we will have two clowns instead of one running the D
  2. Still collecting $3 mil a year from the Bills for one more year.....yep....he was cut loose to collect $6 mil on the bills. He can afford to be selective....and sit out another year if he likes.
  3. There are no future Jills.......that act has CLOSED! And been disbanded. Hope finishing the lawsuit is the last I ever hear of them.
  4. The Jills are in the rear view mirror, no matter how this legal action comes out. A 20th century artifact. There will never be another Jills crew imho. And, thats OK with me, I go to the games for the football, not T&A.
  5. I would like to see media types prosecuted for violating the HIPAA laws......laws apply to everyone....and I have been annoyed for years about the media's claim that they are above the law. they are not, and we need to see some jail time to prove it. Now, the NFL doesn't want to upset everything or anybody, they just want the cash to keep flowing....but, JPP has a case, and, imho, could screw those folks reporting. but, he will be stiffeled by the NFL and the Giants....count on it.
  6. Yes, this is the fact that I think says the coach has to go....this is exactly what he should have done. In stead, they run the ball....and the rest is history...fumble, and a couple of real bad penalities from Cinci's poster boys for bad attitude....and Cinci is done for the year. they had the game in hand.....and couldn't think to take a knee........game management skill missing.......
  7. Unfortunately, this is likely. I think EJ's still guarnateed $3mil and no cap relief if cut......so, incremental cost to have him as backup is zero......Bills can't afford to pay another #2, since EJ will get his money anyhow if cut. Unfortunately, that means, unless TT stays healthy, more bad QB work from EJ. the meltdown in London was the end in terms of him being an NFL starter ever. Nice guy, but, over his head. Look for a rookie #3, and this time, he will be elgible for the Practice Squad. Sims refused to come back to the Bills from the Falcons practice squad. Rex was right in bringing him over from the Jests, he would have been a better stopgap than EJ when TT went down. But, the front office blew it with the fine print regarding the practice squad rules.
  8. Implausible imho. Pegula is to big league to make that kind of mistake. I can think of many circumjstances where a non playoff year should result in another year for that duo.......(say a Jets like 10-6 with no playoffs , or even worse, an 11-5 non playoff situation) Not surprised they had to retract....I don't think it was ever true.
  9. I may throw a fit if Rex brings in any more former Jets. NOthing there we want or need.
  10. Most of the players will play hard....an overlooked point is that Fitz has many friends on the Bills, and none of them wants to give him an easy pass....they will play up to ability because they want him to think well of them. I heard a comment by McKelvin around that feeling.....also another I can't attribute about Fitz friends in the Bills org. Face it, Fitz never won the big one for the Bills (or anybody else, actually, cept maybe Harvard) If he wins this one.....good for him. don't want that ,but I am a Bills fan. And, I thought getting Gailey and Fitz back together in NY was a stroke of geneius.......if that new head coach did that, good for him. (I don't think there is anybody else that smart in NY) They were a great pair in Buffalo...(Chan was undone by bad choices in the defensive coaching ranks) ...except they lacked O talent to compliment Chan's system. (Donald Jones, and lots of other guys now out of pro football)
  11. MIller's ankle is so bad he should not be on the field. He needs healthy snaps, not snaps with one leg. I was appalled when I saw how bad he was walking last week...he does not belong out there in that condition. Must be he is showing he is tough....oh well.....
  12. Point taken here.....a pro is somebody who does his job no matter about how he feels that day.
  13. Rex, but really the PEGS for a bad hire............had a top four D, but HE (rex) was smarter....oh yeh.....so the Pegs give him another year to save face.....but, I am not expecting much, other than hot air from Rex. Mario was miss used in Rex 3x4. but he has Made $76 mil in the last four years, and has the stones to call out REX.....he will be gone, and get his double digit sacks elsewhere in the NFL next season. Teams will be jumping over each other to sign Mario.
  14. Don't know where you are coming from, but bring your cold weather gear......its winter in Buffalo right now. And, there will be some wind, count on it. Good training for young men, though...toughen them up!
  15. I agree with the injury comparison above.....the Jets in good shape physically, and should win. If Darby can play, however, he and McKelvin are a good set of CB's and the passing could tougher for the Jets. If we have Mario Butler and whoever out there, however, our chances drop some. So, the Jets should be favored. However, did we ever see Fitz win the big one? Actually, no.....and he never has. He has to break form to win into the playoffs. Maybe this is his time....but it would be the first time. Of course, Kurt Warner won big after being in Pro football a decade...maybe that is Fitz also....but he doesn't have Warner's arm.
  16. He will prosper again in a true 4x3 D, and deliver his double digit sacks again for a few more years. He is a high performance tool that Rex and company did not know how to use....REX is a one trick pony....only knows his complex 3x4 system. He didn't have the personnel for that this year....the biggest missing piece is the hugh nose tackle.....who is supposed to take two or three guys to handle in the middle. I remember when the Jets had Jenkins in that role....he was really good, and the ryan D was tough then....I always thanked our lucky stars when Jenkins was out hurt when the Bills got the Jets. A real pro head coach would have come into the bills, looked at the defensive results, and said to Schwartz......I'm the head coach, but you run the D. But, Ryan's ego wouldn't allow that...and so all Pro tools were wasted. Of course, the new owner Pegs are at fault for mixing oil and water here. Just a replay of the Sabres management fiasco. Mario will take a small pay cut.....will still get $10 mil with incentives........he will just have to make do.
  17. Lasting lesson: Matching a quarterback's skills to an offensive scheme increases the likelihood for success This is sooooo important....putting round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes...........and, I agree Taylor is that QB who fits the scheme they are using. Of course, if Rex recognized that in TT, why doesn't he understand the same concept on the D? Rex put square pegs in round holes and it didn't work. The reason Rex did that is he is a "one trick pony"...he only knows his D....and NEVER would have considered keeping Schwartz around. Rex believed his own press clipings, but his D reputation is now exposed. At least Clay was not on the worst list....he hasn't had a great year, but he looks the tight end to have having seen him at the games. They just haven't used him as much as I thought they might.
  18. EJ will be just like Losman......stay with the team that drafted him for 5 years, and then, end of career. Losman tried to do it elsewhere, but never latched on anywhere again...except for the summer league one year where he did well.
  19. Agreed not the same player as last year, Perhaps he will heal further off season . But he needs to return to 2014 form or addious.
  20. Rex is a "one trick pony"...only knows the 3x4....when he has all Pro talent in the 4x3, he really doesn't know what to do with it. Bad hire imho!
  21. Well, can't have a universal response here......I am dropping my 4 tickets. The product has not been worth the money spent over the past 20 years. I enjoyed the fair weather games, but hate the cold weather games, and the night games, which are scheduled to accomodate the TV contract. The night games at home are not for the benefit of the fans....especially in November and December. The NFL is headed toward stadiums being TV studio's....and I will watch from home, whereever that is going forward. NFL Sunday ticket is a much better buy entertainment wise than season tickets. Lots of other annoyances......the security at the stadium is an annoyance, the removal of drinking fountains from the stadium so they could score $5 sales on bottles of water make me resent going to the games. This isn't necessarily the Pegula's....its just that the decades of bad management....including the Pegs is to much. And, the management is not yet right....haveing a GM and the Coach report to the owner is loony tunes....the GM needs to work for the owner...and hire and fire the coach. No more QB arguments on who is on the roster. (Cassel situation this year, Orton situation last year) I don't see this franchise getting it right until the management structure morphs into a make sense organization from a structure point of view.
  22. All the comments above are right....the team chemistry isn't correct, that is for sure. I think Kyle Williams absence is a problem, but so is AWilliams being gone.... But, there is another problem that Talley pointed out, and we have some of it on the Bills for sure. The idea that each player is his own CEO and is in this for himself. Yes, these players are here about the Money folks. EJ Manuel formed a corporation and sold shares in his future income stream to generate up front money. Sammy's dismay at not being targeted more was tinged with his desire to score the next big contract...read the words. and, going to the Redskins, RG3 has what EJ did only 10fold bigger....he is a business first, a football player by the way. He doesn't put in the time to succeed at QB, but he is all over his commercial opportunities. (Subway anyone?) Thats why I am against even a hint of the Bills going after RG3, even at a deep discount from a tade point of view. So, the MONEY is ruining some of the players.....they are fixated on it.....and, they should be to a reasonable extent...they are professionals, after all. Its just that many of them can't handle it. They sign with the agent that makes the biggest promises, not one that might provide realistic sound advice. I think the mantra of the Levy years was good, he liked smart players and character players, as they could form team allegiances despite the money aspects of their careers. The Bills and much of the NFL have little of that kind of loyality. I have to say, and I don't like it, but I think Bellicheat does a good job of putting that kind of team together, and he has Brady to do some of the team building...in addition to playing QB at the all pro level.
