  1. We have only done cash in person deals with VIP seats...delivery tickets, they buy when they want to. ARrive with cash, walk away with tickets. I have done both. The moved from Originally on Transit, to many years in williamsville, and now downtown. Good folks.....a local operation. don't know if they have a web site.
  2. Our group uses the NFL ticket exchange mostly and that works pretty well/OK. Have used stubhub a little, more cumbersom if you have to mail tickets etc, find the UPS store, get the printed label on it etc. We have also used VIP Seats, a local outfit...they just moved downtown from Williamsville however, and are , for us, inconvient now. We have four tickets.....and we sometimes sell all four....somtimes sell 2....sometimes buy some, depending who is attending and who is in town. It works pretty well, although, with the new TV policy showing non sold out games locally...we have seen a drop in demand for the sales of our tickets. So, tips......list early...keep on top of the prices for the game you are selling, and drop the price to match the lower end of the range of the section you are in........we have done well...we always sell all four to one premium game to shave the cost of our season tickets...and we get 2 1/2 to 3 times face for that game. But, we attend otherwise whenever we can. Buying extra tickets is also great on the NFL ticket exchange.....I have been able to get additional tickets VERY close to our seats when we need them....when Carolina came to town a couple of years ago, I bought four additional seats only a few seats from ours. OK, other tips...late sales are unlikely, so have a use at the last minute plan as well, even if you have to give them away. Watch out for preseason games....interest is relatively low, usually, and the Bills force the NFL ticket exchange to maintain a minimum price on that forum. Last year ,the Bills were discounting preseason tickets to a level below the minimum allowed on the NFL ticket exchange. (usually 90% of face about) Good games to sell: Pats, Steelers, Packers maybe Dolphins.....bad games to sell:Jets, Browns...other bad teams.........We tried to sell the opener last year...but attended in stead as we did not get our (outrageous) price.
  3. McKelvin will get another NFL job pretty quick imho....maybe the Jests......Leo was the mid level talent that will be missing on the Bills because they are in cap h*ll.....this is the same damage that occured in NO when they had to pay so big to J Byrd. The guys that should be playing out the career and contributing as vetrans....will now have rookies...they are cheap but can't play. I blame Whaley for mismanaging the cap........overspent last year...cutting needed talent this year. Cromartie was terrible in NY last year.......its why he is a free agent. Hope Rex doesn't bring hi8m in as another Jets based stray.
  4. Twin clowns are not better at coaching than a single.......
  5. I guess they are counting on Miller....he didn't bring in last year.....Urbik was better than him. But, whaley is grasping to solve his cap problem...and he can get younger guys cheaper, I guess. Vet minimums end careers, I think, for backup/marginal players. thats OK.....the bills still have big problems on the O line........only Wood is stable imho. Everything else in play.....
  6. I wish Rex would stop bringing in strays that are former Jets.....tired tired tired....... I recall McKelvin picked Fitz to stave off the Jets in the season final......he is a starting CB in this league. he was hurt for first half of season, and took a couple of games to get it together. He played well against Dallas as well, of course, I might have been able to play CB against that QB.
  7. I watched the QB's throw live......the guy from South Dakota was the best by far. He won't last until #19.....
  8. I would comment that the deal that TT got here was pretty good for TT, if he got on the field and got the chance to perform. He did just that, and performed pretty well. I know, he is an incomplete as far as testing him to franchaise QB status......but, here is my point. He now has put himself in the position where the Bills recognize he might get there in year two, and be a total free agent. The only leverage they have here is to negotiate here now when there is still some doubt...making TT want to cash in sooner......or...sign another legit QB candidate through the draft or FA..... Should Tt have a really good year (not even a great year), he would be a real hot commodity on the free agent market next year. the current Bills contract w/ TT apparently didn;t contemplate he would do this well in his first year....it was more like maybe he might do it in year two. So, TT has played himself into the drivers seat here.........If he goes the Flacco route, he will play out the 2d year and go the FA route...and collect big. (not necessarily in Buffalo either) Of course, next off season, then, the bills would have zero QB's on the roster under contract unless there is another alternative. (EJ is history after this year, another JP Losman like fiasco for the Bills) So, look for a promising later round QB to be part of the draft so they have somebody to run the O in the offseason workouts next year. Credit to Ryan for seeing the potential, TT for coming to the Bills recognizing he had a chance here with no established QB and mild criticism to Whaley for allowing this deal to put the Bills in this position. IF TT succeeded, there was never any chance that the third year of the contract would play.
  9. Good news on the Ralph would be that they have put back in the drinking fountains that they took out in the renovation. All the more to sell $5.00 bottles of water to you.....they even got an exemption from the Erie County Health Department...unbelieveable. Of course, they have a yellow water cooler at the guest services desks....and you can get a Dixie cup of water there if you know to go there...and if you believe that is sanitary. Of course, the local golf courses had to remove theirs because the health department told them that such coolers were a hazzard, at least on a golf course. Hard to figure why its safe in the Guest Services desks, but not on the golf courses. I am thinking the welfare of the fans was not at the heart of the decision. Now, as a season ticket holder, I gave feedback to the Bills that their plan here was not acceptable to me...but I don't expect much from them....the almighty dollar will rule...thats what the NFL is all about...extracting max dollars from the game attendees. REINSTALLING WATER FOUNTAINS....that would be good news about the Ralph. (I am guessing the Bills don't have Erie County Health Dept approval for their yellow coolers)
  10. Yes, I saw him play w the Bills and always wondered why he didn't get a legit shot a showing his stuff. He looked like a stud to me...big receiver...but.....our crack coaches had their favorites....and he never got to play here. Big, fast.....never understood it.
  11. Thinking about the big picture here......with Mr Wilson gone....and his long term "challenged" management of the Bills, we now have rookie owners who made a really bad HC hire in Ryan. Makes me think of the Harvey Johnson HC hire that Ralph did in the 80's.......A shame the Pegs couldn't get a football t ype to help them get it right. Brandon is a business guy, and he is OK, but not a football guy. On the HC hire...it was the PEGS..Whaley and Brandon giving lip service to whoever the PEGS hired. But, they saved the franchise...its just it appears it will be the same old Bills....never get it done.
  12. McKelvin and Lawson....probabily.....Urbik...no, he did that last year I recall, nothing much to gain from him now. Carpenter, maybe not....he is still a real good kicker. Unless our kickoff guy can take the job away............in camp. Dixon gone imho unless Shady is in the slammer. I am torn vis a via Gilmore....everybody says he is a top top CB.......but, I haven't seen it often...just sometimes...and I am a season ticket holder. I worry that some of the rep is hangover Bills marketing bs. His interception numbers surely don't reflect top 10 status. And, I wonder what the players truly think about playing for a team led by twin clowns, some might prefer more sane leadership where bragging comes after accomplishment. Anyhow, the big free agents all want to get paid...and, given close offers...might opt to go elsewhere. (It would cross my mind were I in that situation)
  13. This is right. The Bills may well be without him for some games......maybe a lot if he serves time......certainly for NFL or Bills suspension. But, it might partially solve the cap problems in 2016. Cause, he doesn't get paid when on suspension. Lots of analysis out there that fails to account for that fact. Now, he is certainly some kind of thug....but, know what...so are the police in all likelyhood. NFL players/ cops don't have back down in their blood.....and the cops were foolish enough to get involved with a physically superior crew. The NFL guys were also foolish....oh well...bar fights since the beginning of time.......
  14. Richie is still crazy....he is just handling himself more like a pro these days.......hard lesson being unemployed, even the crazy can learn from that experience. But, he can play even at his age. IMHO, playing w Eric Wood has been a steadying influence on Richie. Back when Richie was under fire, Wood was one of the few to defend him......
  15. This The Cowboys learned to handle Dez.....big problems there....so, they will have to more than replicate that kind of babysitting to deal with JM.
  16. The Jests just settled the court case with their "cheerleaders" for a cash sum....and its over. I think the Bills should do the same and adious.....the Jills become part of Buffalo's past history. Never want to hear from them again.
  17. I saw a couple of perfect throws that should have been TD's also. Broncs O didn't have a great game, but the D won it. Carolina has youth on its side.....but, I can't see a clear winner here. If Denver has their front line players....some got hurt Sunday....they will be very competitive. Carolina was great yesterday...but, we will see on the biggest football stage in a couple of weeks.
  18. Miller wasn't very good this year....he seems to have the head...knows the play book, and that is impressive for a rookio. BUT...he was beaten often physically, and when he came back from injury. I watched him come off the field for the Dallas game in particular (I was sitting on home side that game) and he could barely walk. imho, he did not belong out there. The staff wants him out there so bad, they put him out there with no chance as he was physically shot. If a lineman can't take the pounding, he won't make it in the NFL. He will get another chance out there, but, the Bills PR machine says he is a lot better than he really is. Bills definitely in trouble on the O line.....
  19. Actuallly, I was at a night game at the Ralph in the 80's, I think, and some fan crawled out the cable holding up the net behind the goalposts. He went all the way across and was arrested at the other end. Night game....KC I think. The crowd is always nuts for MNF.......and, Buffalo, making the point, has its fair share of idiots.
  20. I don't care if this is ground breaking from a social point of view. ALL I care about is if she can do the job well....if so, I am a supporter. If they are taking a discount in coaching ability to do this as a P/R thing, I am PO'd, as I am a fan for the football...at the highest quality possible.
  21. I wouldn't waste a slot in the 53 man roster at cutdown time on him.....to injury prone.....keep another NFL player who might last 16 games. Played 5 games for 6 mil....what a waste. The problem here is Rex has taken in Harvin like a stray dog....and doesn't want to let him go.
  22. Remember, Roman was the OC that let Boobie go from SF.....not surprised to see this. Lots of talent at rb now...including Ciera Wood.....I won't be looking for any draft of a RB....in fact, wasn't looking for one to be drafted before this signing. And, I am thinking that not only is Boobie got a target on his back, Gillislee might also be concerned about this signing. How many rb's hit the 53 roster....maybe three...and we know who two are......
  23. A lot of the inter personnel issue were not good.....but, Marrone did get a couple of things right looking at the big picture. When Pettine was hired (good move) and bolted, Marrone hired Schwartz (good move). We all thought Crossman was a bad hire....but when Crossman got some studs in Marrone's second year, he put a good Special teams effort together for the Bills. Now, the Hackett situation was just the opposite....but, they had EJ put down their throat... and a front office that resisted bring in Orton (a journeyman made EJ look weak) Still, Marrone got a lot right in fielding the right coaching team. I think maybe Crossman, who left Schwartz staff in Detroit to join Marrone was instrumental in helping bringing Jim Schwartz to the Bills. (if you recall, Pettine was gone about 10 minutes before the Bills announced Schwartz was the new DC) So, all in all, if results matter...Marrone progressed the Bills from 6-10 to 9-7. So, that puts him on the candidate list for other jobs. Sooner or later, the interpersonal relationship stuff will die out, and he will get another shot as a HC.......remember Mularkey quite the Bills about 15 years ago and just now is getting his second shot. And ,yes Marrone is an idiot from an interpersonal relationship point of view....he could learn a trick or two in that area.
  24. Recalling the municipal breakdown of services due to the snow emergency a year ago....that relocated the Jets game to Detroit a day later than scheduled, I am thinking the Erie county isn't the best idea in the world........basically the county exec and others told the NFL they couldn't allow the game to go off as scheduled as they didn't have the police, or other emergency personel to deal with the game and the ongoing emergency. Now, if not Erie county, where....Niagara County? Batavia? The point is a domed stadium would not have saved the situation for the Jets game....they just couldn't handle the cars on the road and the usual traffic, drunks driving etc etc. So, Orchard Park was a bad choice in 1970's.....it would be an ongoing bad choice 50 years later...as would the city of Buffalo. I don't know all the statistics, but, I can tell you that Buffalo's national reputation for snow is based on the snowfall in the southtowns. I can also tell you that Niagara county gets about 1/3 the snow that falls south of Buffalo based on multiyear averages. All the city location talk is really brave talk imho.....I think a regional look see has to be done.......the pols all want to put it in the city......urban redevelopment etc etc., but, I, as a season ticket holder, will never attend a game in downtown Buffalo. The traffic nightmare deters me in the extreme.
