  1. I was hoping they took Beckham from LSU....Giants did and that worked out for them.....bills could have had him with their #8 pcik.....that was Whaley.
  2. He played behind a great D line in LA....Aaron Donald et al. Lets settle for capable at this point....as the Bills struggle to put 4 db's on the field who can play.
  3. Yes, strong inaccurate arm....I saw to many throws miss the wr by 10 yards..........being a nice guy and having your head on straight isn't a fix for lack of skills. The Whaley Marrone confrontation over this situation was classic, and Marrone was right.
  4. I thought Rambo had game......the Bills tried to get cheap w him....and he signed elsewhere. I hitter and can intercept his share as well as I recall. Good signing imho.
  5. Its not the league alone. The provision on weed is in the CBA...and the union also supports the CBA...as it was jointly written and adopted. So, don't kit on Goodell for this one........the league is honoring the CBA......and the players union would not have it any other way.
  6. If Mccoy runs for 1200-1400 yards, you will see him again imho. Probowl rb's don't grow on trees....if he is still in top form....none better.
  7. I saw an interesting segment (sorry, no link) w Colin Cowherd where he talked about this. He said an Eli like intervention (no San Diego) may be in the works if Buffalo, Cleveland, or the Jets are in the position to draft him. (Cowherd's order) Said those franchises have not earned the right to draft such a good prospect. I now hope one of those cities draft him and have the stones to stick with the rights they have in the draft, including letting him sit out a couple of years so he can reenter if it goes that far. I don't like Cowherd, but, happened to catch that segment today.
  8. As long as he is putting 11 men (not 10) on the field each play, he gets year 3...........
  9. Brown has three NFL years.....Ragland zero. I am thinking you have projected Ragland's college play to the NFL. That is a LONG extrapolation.....and just as likely wrong as correct.
  10. Byrd is slow and trouble....malingering
  11. I got out this year after decades as a season guy. Out of town for November was a big factor......and, after all this time, I am discouraged beyond belief about the prospects of another winning team. I have seen the new management theme before...and every two or three years its gets trotted out again. I view it as marketing......I will still follow the team......but, I am not optimistic...have seen failure to many times. The product isn't what it used to be.....my seasons go all the way back to the Rockpile days when I could only afford the endzone........I will miss the tailgate with my buds.....(.they kept the seats).....and I wish them and all those attending well. (Section 112, Row 34..perfect)
  12. connor cook is #2 in Raiderland. EJ is #3...........and fading. Cardale doesn't have the head to play at the pro level.........immature approach to business.......
  13. Noooooooooo...bad attitude guy, laid down on the job his last year here. A low character guy....and slow of foot also....NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
  14. I have seen enough of J Byrd. He laid down on the job in his contract year for the Bills, I don't want to see his low life character here again in Buffalo. I paid my season ticket that year, and he collected his check and didn't play.
  15. Some things can't be calculated wrt benefits to an area that has an NFL franchise. Prestige on a national basis for one. Intangibles or, in accounting terms, "good will" are not comprehended in these studies. A public private partnership will have difficulty, however, because objective may not be the same...thus making a bad partnership. Public fund advocates will try to force a new stadium downtown.....about the worst possible choice from a fan point of view. The lack of roads in and out, and parking...as well as the loss of the tailgate culture might well result in a bath of red ink for the owners. A suburban location with 360 degrees of roads in and out is what is required, and I doubt the Erie County officials will support that choice. Bottom line, I don't think a new stadium is in the works for Buffalo in my lifetime.
  16. A suspension gets the Bills off the hook for part of that money if he goes out for 10 games, and a whole season of money if he fails the next time. This might be the only soft landing for the Bills, unless Big Puff knuckles down and plays lights out football.
  17. This is an UNDERSTATEMENT......we need more than a few. This is an UNDERSTATEMENT......we need more than a few.
  18. Why is DuCasse here from the Ravens?
  19. Jills never to be seen again. I go for the football, don't want a cent of Bills revenue to go to that diversion. Hire an extra scout!
  20. Triannual reboot.....not much new here imho!
  21. Its hard to believe that scouts are totally "plug and play" I think the lack of a group of scouts that have worked with the management will dog the Bills for several years. Fielding a capable team of scouts is also critical, as they set the table for the draft....and, I can hear the words now...." not bad for our first draft"///////ugh, been there done that.....heard that line before.
  22. Watching him last year when he finally got on the field, he looked a little slow out there. To early to tell, but I am concerned about his status as a first round talent. I hope he does well, but, not spending that nickle tight now.
  23. Yes, canned garbage now. (couldn't use a stronger word) Used to have live organist that played to the crowd and game situation.
  24. I watched a lot of the Gruden series on ESPN...saw the sections on both Mahomes and Peterman. Gruden liked both............said that he and Andy Reid were on the staff at GB when they had a young Farve, and that Mahomes reminded him a LOT of the young Farve. Reid either saw the show, or, made that judgement for himself....likely both....and moved up to get Mahomes. That said, Gruden had a lot of good things to say about Peterman....including his double degree situation...graduated from Tenn with Batchelors and got his MBA while playing for Pitt.....LOTS of smarts in this kids head.....where Losman and Manuel were both short. So, I am thinking...on a value basis, the Bills risk taking Peterman in the 5th is a lot better than the Chiefs value..as they gave up 2 #'1 for Mahomes. In the end, this might be a win win for both teams. Not unhappy with the trade at all. Not sure I agree with all the nay sayers about TT...McD and partner will decide based on TT's performance this and next year.
  25. Although we as individuals are staggered by the $35 million or whatever amount the Pegs are paying folks not to work, I can assure you those in the Billionaire league take these hits in stride. They are trying to get it right for their business....and will do what it takes. I think the slow method they approached with the Sabres initially has made them more activist now.......they are learning as owners "on the job"
