  1. Watch to see who comes to Buffalo on visits........I am guessing they will try to get all of the top 4 to visit. Some might not be totally willing or interested...and that will reflect in the view the Bills have of that candidate. E Manning did not want to play in San Diego post draft....hence the famous Phillip Rivers trade. Players preference will influence what happens here.........didn't Rosen say he didn't want to go to the Browns? One final comment.....even if we draft at 12....Lamar Jackson looks to be another TT type QB....if they didn't like TT, why would they even consider Jackson. So, if its #12 where they pick....it will be either Rudolph or Allen if he is still there...my choice would be Rudolph in any event at #12.
  2. Zay Jones/ Carlos ...never mind.
  3. Didn't bother the Bills management in prior years!
  4. McCarron is likely starter imho. guys like Watson/Trubinski are few and far between. Even if we do the much discussed tradeup.......its less than 50/50 the rookie starts immediately. And, if McCarron does well, he never sits down. More likely, some sort of injury to just front office impatience would push the rook onto the field. Then the rook will get a chance to beat Peterman's record 5 ints in one half.
  5. Well, the press certainly wants buffalo to move up....especially the NYC based press who are shameless homers for the Giants and Jets. If we give all the picks required to get to #2 this year, we will be 5 years recovering from the lack of new talent on the roster. I say take what we find with all the picks we have.....I hear 70 starters in this years draft....that puts Bills in a position to draft what? 5 starters......that is what the Bills need. And, I am ok not going for one of the top 4 puppies coming out of the NCAA this year. #5-8 are also the same likelyhood to succeed imho. I can tell you this.....Bean/McD better get this right.....their survival at One bills drive depends on how they handle this draft. I fear these guys are trying to replicate what Cam Newton did for Carolina. Not sure there is one of those in this years draft. And, I do recall Brett Farve sat a couple of years before starting, Aaron Rogers sat 3 years behind Farve before starting.......I, for one, believe watching for a while helps QB talent succeed. I predict McCarron will surprise many in a favorable manner because of his 4 years in the league.
  6. Disaster if they trade all those picks. Way to many holes on this team to bet on a #1 round QB saving the day.
  7. It is interesting to note that the press reported that the Pats tried unsuccessfullly to sign McCarron.........glad we got that deal done in any event.
  8. I thought Hurst got sent home from the combine with a serious medical condition? If so, I don't want him as a #1..........surprised he showed up here, then.....
  9. Vita Vea and Mason rudolph!!!
  10. Mayfield not going to be a Bill! Attitude wrong imho......McD wants right chemistry......
  11. I am not against drafting a second tier guy they like.......and taking a season with three QB's to sort out the future. McCarron could well win the starting job over two others, and, might never loose it. I hate the idea of a high QB draft pick after living through Losman, Manual. apparently not easy to do or predict. I would point out to doubters that McCarrons college credentials are very like Watson....maybe even better. And, with 4 years in the league, he is ready for a shot now. finally, I am thinking that should we stay at 12 ,and say the top 5 QB's are gone....Bills might be in the Vita Vea market, despite recent signings.
  12. Sieman works here I am thinking. I saw him last year against the Bills....he we sort of ok until it got late and he had to throw.....then he got picked....not the strongest arm or best judgement. But, he is a little like TT passing but can't run.
  13. I am bothered by Beane and McD acquiring all those former Panthers.....where have I seen that before......oh yeh...Wrex collected washed up Jets.......and that came to no good. Why do hese guys continuely bring it guys they know from their former team? Not clear to me that their vision and judgement are clear on these matters. Maybe they are to lazy to look around a little. I don't what the Bills becoming Carolina north........anyhow, this deal smells/feels wrong to me.
  14. About as awkward as benching TT for the start of a game, and having to start him in the second half of a game becuse the guy you picked to start instead of him threw 5 picks.....yeh, the Bills know how to screw one up once in a while...could happen again, and soon.
  15. It all depends who the rookie is and if he adapts to the NFL quickly. Watson did it last year, but, none of those beloved puppy QB's have the body of work that Watson had with multiple national championship games under their belt and multilple 10 win seasons either. Most if not all will sit a year or two (like A Rogers did behind Farve) Get a grip my man!!!
  16. Yes, the Bills were a great farm system for Goodwin to grow up in.....and then he goes off to another team. We can't be doing that w 3d round picks........If he was that good, the Bills should have resigned. More of the mismanagement of past administrations.
  17. this question is called a "non permissible" question. (learned that in corporate America where I had to do a lot of interviewing) there are a bunch of others as well.
  18. Part of this is the West Coast media......and the East Coast Media.....the Oklahoma media....not so mcuh. Lets hope the Bills make the judgement on the basis of player skills and not what is reported out of NYC and LA (yes, the bias exists in sports also)
  19. Forget the draft here....we want Cousins to stay in the NFC.
  20. Kessler will be a free agent....not a cut. HIs contract is up.
  21. If you don't get a bunch of new talent quick, the Bills will be a 4-12 team next year, even with a new QB........the Bills had the second oldest roster in the league this past season...the Bills are getting "long in the tooth". (don't know where that expression came from)
  22. I am thinking about California kid Rob Johnson when you say that....oh wait....Rosen..Cal....yeh
  23. McCoy isn't going anywhere. The Bills still have to sell tickets and he IS entertainment. Cordy glenn, however, might be a candidate to be included in a trade with the Giants who have an interest it is reported.
  24. I watched T Simien this season when he played the Bills......not wanting any of that in a Bills uniform.
  25. I go to the games for football, not T&A. So, I don't have any desire to see them return. Since their exit was about money and a lawsuit.......I don't want the tickets to go up even one dollar to pay the Jills. OK if they are paying at top QB......
