  1. This is correct I think. T Jackson has a big arm, but is more inaccurate than EJ Manuel. I am guessing he does not make PS and the Bills will sign another QB.
  2. with all the receivers, and Zay coming up on a contract year, I would not be surprised to see Zay get released. Duke Williams starting to show his stuff, and would be a tough cut. took him a while, but, he is the beast that Kelvin Benjiman should have been. Lots of other talent as well. The Bills will keep one or two wr's on the practice squad as well. We will know in a couple of weeks.
  3. I got a little action on the Bills when I was in Vegas in June. Odds were only 3 at that point. Must be the Jets fans are drinking the kool aid and changing the odds with their betting behavior. Half a point isn't much, but, it is a move.
  4. Such outcomes depend on the performance of the Bills in their areas of resposiblity. Frazier will succeed imho, and will be back here as long as McD is here. He had a shot in Minn and that did not go well. He won't get another HC in the NFL imho. Daboll is another situation....if the Bills succeed on the O side, he could be a contender for a HC job. My gut says not yet, however. So, I really see him back as well unless the O fails misserably. Based on one game this year though, I think the O in progressing. Allen will be better but not all Pro yet. Year 3 is a better breakout year for Allen imho. But, I would love it if its year 2!
  5. Bean/Mcd judged him already...no 5th year option. Shaq knows he is playing for his next contract. Unless he has a breakout year, he will get a prove it contract somewhere for one year. History of performance says that won't go well, and he won't make 10 yrs in the league imho.
  6. Cleveland has a stud backup punter. Hope the Bills have a scout watching him......as he might be better than either of our candidates.
  7. Frank Gore
  8. Its useful to go against other personnel, and another D....as the Bills get tired of playing / practicing against their own team. Growth in experience playing against another "system"
  9. That drop was the game, would have put the Bills up by one. I remember it well.
  10. I had a family member that had this problem around the knee after ACL surgery. they used the circulating ice water bath too frequently and long. Killed a lot of the skin all over the knee in that case, but it eventually healed up. Cryo damage, don't know if that ever heals however. I hesitate to say this, but, AB may have shot himself in the foot!
  11. The D is good. the ST are a question mark, new coach, but a point of emphasis. The O...well, better players in various positions, but lots of injuries. Second year for B Daboll, and he will design to beat the opposition D and make best use of J Allens talents. I look for the record to be better....not sure I can think my way to 9-7, but less than 8-8 would be a disappointment. So, I am going w 8-8......QED
  12. Carolina will only get better is CAM comes back to his old self. But, that looks pretty iffy right now, so he has that wrong imho.
  13. Yes, really a bad choice imho. Yes, after he healed he was an ok running back. But, he could have been great had he not had the acl surgery . He came back a step or two slower.....
  14. Ahhhh,,,still limited in roads in and out because the lake and river have not changed.
  15. He needs to retire......his brain can't take the NFL game anymore. I am not happy, but I want him to lead a normal life. I do wonder how much guaranteed money Bean gave him.
  16. It usually gets ugly fast when you loose a CB or two. This year, we could loose two, and still have three starter level players left. I wonder if Taron Johnson even makes the squad....but, he was pretty good also, but is practice squad elgible at least. Bottom line, a headache at cut down time. Bills will keep 6 cb's anyhow. And, salary will put both Johnson and Gaines at risk to a small degree.
  17. the digital transmissions in the Buffalo area do not have the range that the old analog signals did. In the Buffalo area, the transmission towers are Buffalo and south, but I live in Niagara county (north) I tried all the fancy antenna's, and they don't really work very well in Niagara County. But, that problem is on the FCC, not the Directv types. I have directv, and have intermittantly had Sunday ticket. The loss of the CBS stations will cause us to go back to cable, or, maybe do the HULU hookup. Might have to find a friend/fan game days......and, ultimately, since I have cable in the home for the internet, maybe just drop the satellite service. Anyhow, lots of options...and, although I am a long time dt subscriber, I can drop them...as I am on zero contracts.
  18. Last time I was there a decade ago, it was M&T stadium I think. Still that name? We stayed at a motel outside Balt, took a train in and got off right at the stadium. Not like Buffalo stadium experience though, not tailgating. But, more like a PGA golf even.....lots of corporate tents etc. Being use to the Ralph/New Era atmosphere, I wasn't expecting PGA/NFL hybrid experience. Anyhow, the Bills lost, and we sat near some of the Bills players families in the upper deck. Seats were not as good as NEW ERA uppers imho.
  19. Most other cities are HOPEING Allen is bottom 100. The fear the (real) possiblity he might be the real deal franchaise QB when he gets the rough edges smoothed out a little! As for other Bills not in top 100,,,small market equals no national exposure and no incentive for those national media types to say or even see small market types. (that was one of Gilmore's complaints btw)
  20. Some unknown Calculus was going on in Carolina as well. Gettleman got canned........just after Bean and McD left.....I don't know, just trying to read between the lines.....
  21. I think McBean are trying to replicate what succeeded in Carolina....even picking Allen who is sort of a Cam Newton like QB...big physical, can run...and Cam hasn't been a polished passer either 6 or 7 years in. None the less, the two seem organized, and recall, Bean did not show up until almost a year later, so McD was on his own with Whaley hanging on until a new guy was brought in...which was inevitable.
  22. Richie can play alright, but, is to erratic to justify a roster spot. Buffalo was fortunate....I think Eric Wood kept Richie on an even keel when Richie was here....and he lacks that kind of help now. Too bad, there are some people you can't help. (and the Pegs certainly tried to help richie)
