These coordinators have to take one of those jobs if offered. They pay 2x what they make as coordinators and it sets them up for life. (think $6milx5years guaranteed)

With a QB, the window is always open. When vets depart, new talent will be available drafted a year or two earlier. (See Groot and Boogie)

The list is OK, but I see Jacklson quiting on some plays so I am skeptical on him still.

I just hope they don't let the KC secondary mug our receivers like they were allowed to do last year. Straight up clean football....oh wait...never mind.

I wonder if next year will be the last for RZ....Directv loosing its contract w the NFL. Was RZ a Directv inovation ?using all the feeds or was it marketed separately by the NFL separate from Sunday Ticket. Might have multiple sources for the games on a pay for view basis in 23. Anybody know how this will go yet?

Do you want Daboll to leave for a HC job?
bigK14094 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Frazier looks like more of a HC candidate to me than Daboll, but both are on the lists. When I think of the Dennison year, I think, NO, Daboll needs to stay. But, of course, he deserves his shot at the HC gig as well. So, we will have to weather that correction(s) when and if they come. -
I have 2 tix for the game Section 130 row 36 - anyone want them?
bigK14094 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL ticket exchange has a minimum below which they will not allow you to list to sell. I ran into that in the past occasionally for low demand games. Its the weather, of course. -
Its only an advantage if the team practices outside. Not sure that is happening very much.

Bears request permission to interview Frazier

The Bears can't hire the players except the 'spensive older guys whose contracts are up. -
Re-thinking the hiring of color commentators
bigK14094 replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
We need commentators to tell us who is hurt, who went in, etc etc. Most of these broadcast teams don't bother with that detail, and it detracts from the game. Especially the old playuers, to busy giving us their opinion, and not enough about what is going on in the game. When the left guard goes down, its a big deal to Bills fans, who went in is of concern. We don't need a rant about QB play at that point. The play by play guys not doing their job well these days imho. -

Actually, it was an article in the daily e-mail I get. They were weak in the extreme in the Sports area, and this is also an attempt to bootstrap that deficient journalistic coverage. (All the News that is fit to print)

Wonderlic Test Eliminated from Pre-Draft Process
bigK14094 replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall
Intellectual capability can be judged by interview to some degree. A college transcript might be another way. I know I would ask for such information...and that is legit by any employment laws I am aware of. I went through this kind of adjustment in tactics as laws changed in my 40 years in the corporate world where I made hiring decisions by the hundreds. Truly capable interviewers will find out a lot, but decisions will still be hard and somewhat a gamble. The loss of this specific test is not a significant loss IMHO. Some coaches preach the business like approach to the pro game, that should absolutely be part of the administrative side as well. And, I agree the leak issue was a big one for the NFL to deal with. -
Initial reports were Burrow hurt his ankle....I wonder if this comment is "disinformation". The knee was surgically repaired since last season, but, might not be the real reason for sitting. AND, Mayfield is not playing for the Brownies, so, we will see two unknown (to me) backups in the last game of the season. I feel sorry for the fans that paid for tickets to this game. Preseason in tone.

Rashaad Penny would fit nicely with the Bills’ offense.

Yes, Penney hurt a lot. I liked him out of San Diego State, and have watched him from afar. He is a player when healthy.
